This is really sad and disturbing. So this is the change the new government promise us.

When Jonathan made spirited effort to crush BH, he was heavily criticise by the opposition. They call him CLUELESS ( meaning someone who doesnt have any clue to end insurgency). They even boasted to crush boko haram in 2 months of their administration. Now the situation has excalated and we can now see how CLUEFUL Buhari is.

This is what you get when people politicise insurgency and later discover that they have nothing to offer. Wherever GEJ is now, he wil be wondering how most Nigerians can easily be deceive

Following the aftermath of the APC convention. Gov. Amaechi has this to say:

“Let it be known, that I didn’t just join the APC, I was wooed by the legacy parties and four other PDP governors then. Naturally in every bargain, interests must be spelt out. Of course they did promise me the Vice Presidential ticket in the forth coming election with a condition to sell the party and make President Jonathan unpopular. The initial arrangement was to pair me with Hon. Tambuwal (Speaker of House of Representatives) .

But when other entrants like Atiku and others entered the party, everything changed. It was Gov. Nyako that opened up to me on the recent changes, and pleaded with me to take the position of the National chairman of party, that it will be zoned to the South-South. And I grudgingly accepted. Now, in every political convention, consensus building is needed to harmonize all interests.

So I initiated a platform for the 16 APC governors to talk in Port-Harcourt last week. And in that meeting, the 13 governors and their deputies that were in attendance reassured me that I will be given the national chairmanship slot. But when I asked Gov. Adams to ask Chief Ikimi and John Oyegun to step down for my candidate, Adam’s quietly told me “My brother, I know the bad name they have called you in the South-South and Rivers in particular. Again, I sympathize with you because I know how much you have put-in in APC, this Yoruba and Hausa people can’t be trusted, they said you couldn’t build the APC in Rivers State and that only 95,633 out of the 1.3 million membership you claimed have passport photographs. That everything was doctored by you”.

I find it very disappointing, that we no longer have men of trust, and integrity. Men whose words should be their bond in politics. So last night, I made my position clear, that if the other candidates didn’t step down for Dr. Sam Sam Jaja, then there was no point picking the expression of interest form. I feel deeply betrayed”

President Muhammadu Buhari recently caused a stir when he overruled the decision of the outgoing Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega by appointing Amina Zakari as the new acting chairperson of the commission, hours after Jega had handed over to Mohammed Wali.

Following her appointment, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rejected her appointment, accusing President Buhari of nepotism, adding that Zakari was “too close” to the president to be appointed to such a sensitive position.

Although the Presidency has come out to deny the claims, investigations by The Trent has revealed that Zakari has had some previous dealings with President Buhari having served as a Senior Consultant/Chief Pharmacist for Afri-Project Consortium, the company in charge of all contracts issued by the defunct Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), then headed by Buhari during the regime of late military dictator, General Sani Abacha.

Also of note is the fact that Afri-Project Consortium was headed by a late brother-in-law to Buhari, Salihijo Ahmad, who according to the Spokesperson of the PDP Presidential campaign organisation, Femi Olukayode was said to have died “under mysterious circumstances.” Olukayode also claimed that only Ahmad could have been in the best position to have exposed the massive fraud at PTF under Buhari’s tenure.

Also disturbing is the revelation that Zakari is a daughter of the Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Adamu of Jigawa State who is a blood relation of the Buharis of Daura in Katsina State.An inside source at INEC availed to Nigerian Times that Zakari was Buhari’s insider at INEC in the build up to the 2015 election.

It would be recalled that Buhari had called for the sack of the Jega-led INEC, accusing it of being partisan to the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

The source, who pleaded anonymity further availed that Zakari’s appointment, which was recommended by Buhari’s close acquaintances – Mohammed Hayatudeen, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, Babagana Kingibe and Hamidu Ali – was done in order to confuse Nigerians into believing that she is a good choice as she is the first female to hold the office.

The source revealed that in truth, she was appointed so as to protect the interests of the All Progressive Congress as the post-election judicial process begins.

Following his assumption of office, former President Olusegun Obasanjo undertook a massive investigation into the activities at PTF with a whooping N25 billion said to be missing, with Afri-Project and Ahmad handling all consultations on behalf of the agency and Buhari, his brother-in-law.

Asides the alleged mismanagement of funds, an investigative report by Point Blank News shows that Afri-Project and PTF were also involved in a scandal where HIV/AIDS kits which were purchased in excess expired before use, leading to the loss of almost N600 million.

Afri-Project was also said to have over charged PTF for its consultation to the tune of about N2 billion.

With the new INEC chief having a record of working in so close a circle with President Buhari in the past, the PDP’s claim of nepotism/favouritism might not be out of place, especially as the commission’s mandate expects it to be non-partisan and independent.

Well, in Nigeria, you can marry more than one wife, but not in the US. All 50 states outlaws bigamy and holding multiple marriage licenses. But following last week’s U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing gay marriage, a Montana man said yesterday that he will apply for a marriage license so that he can legally wed
his second wife.

Nathan Collier and his wives Victoria and Christine applied at the Yellowstone County Courthouse in Billings on Tuesday in an attempt to legitimize their polygamous marriage. Collier said he plans to sue if the application is denied.

“It’s about marriage equality,” Collier told The Associated Press Wednesday. “You can’t have this without polygamy.”

County clerk officials initially denied Collier’s application, then said they would consult with the county attorney’s office before giving him a final answer, Collier said.

Yellowstone County chief civil litigator Kevin Gillen said he is reviewing Montana’s bigamy laws and expected to send a formal response to Collier by next week.
“I think he deserves an answer,” Gillen said, but added his review is finding that “the law simply doesn’t provide for that yet.”

The Supreme Court’s ruling on Friday made gay marriages legal nationwide. Chief Justice John Roberts said in his dissent that people in polygamous relationships could make the same legal argument that not having the opportunity to marry disrespects and subordinates them.

Collier, 46, said that dissent inspired him. He owns a refrigeration business in Billings and married Victoria, 40, in 2000. He and his second wife, Christine, had a religious wedding ceremony in 2007 but did not sign a marriage license to avoid bigamy charges, he said.

Collier said he is a former Mormon who was excommunicated for polygamy and now belongs to no religious organization. He said he and his wives hid their relationship for years, but became tired of hiding and went public by appearing on the reality cable television show “Sister Wives.”

The three have seven children of their own and from previous relationships.
“My second wife Christine, who I’m not legally married to, she’s put up with my crap for a lot of years. She deserves legitimacy,” he said.

A FAMILY has told of their shock after seeing the ghostly face of a dead great-gran in the scan of an unborn baby.

Debbie King, 23, says the spooky ultrasound, fittingly taken on Friday 13th, clearly shows a face uncannily reminiscent of her grandmother Teresa King

It was pointed out to pharmacy worker Debbie by a pal after Debbie popped the 20-week scan on the side of her fridge.

Debbie, 23, from Galway in western Ireland, said: “It wasn’t until my friend said she could see a face that I looked at it properly.

“As soon as I did I could see it was nanny. It’s not like you’ve even got to squint.

“I showed it to a few other people and they agreed it looks like her. They thought it was the strangest thing they’ve ever seen.”

She went on: “I used to talk to my gran about everything. I still ask her things in my head, and this has made me realise she’s listening.


“It feels like she is watching over us. It has made me feel a lot more at ease during the pregnancy.”

Debbie’s sister, Amanda King, 25, said: “When I looked at the picture the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. It was the creepiest thing I have ever seen.”

The mum of one, a retail manager, added: “Me and Debbie are strong believers that no one is ever really gone.
