If i have not taken ToEfL or IELTS, how can i prove to a school that i had my undergraduate school in English from Nigeria,

I dont mind getting response from others. please this is urgent

Get a letter of English Proficiency from your school, better still have your undergraduate thesis handy if it is a one on one discussion with your prospective adviser/supervisor

I really hope they give you the visa, except you're in a EU country (even EU self no sure). Most Nigerians that applied for their F1s outside Nigeria, particularly from mid 2018 till early 2020 before the pandemic, got refused and were advised to go to Nigeria to apply. You can try and see how it goes. However, you can use the pandemic as a strong defense as to why you did not travel to Nigeria to apply for the visa, and especially because embassy in Nigeria is closed and your program is starting soon. I hope it turns out well. I'd love to hear about the interview. Do mention me and update.
Good luck.
I know of a Nigerian that applied from Germany less than a month ago and was granted, he's now in the US

Those who are familiar with grad school applications, in regards to the three letters of recommendation requirement, I'm wondering if these three letters must be academic letters from instructors who taught the student at college, or can the student have a letter from a high school official too or a personal letter from anyone? Can you also have letters from an employer? It's asking for three letters of rec, but doesn't specify the types of people who should write them.

Most schools specify who can write for you.
Some will accept letters from both academic letters and former employer while some will only accept academic letters. So confirm from the school's website

Good day everyone. Please I need your help with installing Microsoft Office 365 to access my student portal properly........It's saying I need to subscribe monthly to have it installed but my adviser thinks I should find help in Nigeria because it's free for students.

Please help if you have a solution to this I'll appreciate it.

Thank you

I don't think you have to install anything before accessing it.
You can always access it online via https://login.microsoftonline.com/,
You can also sign into any office app installed on your phone or PC

Hello everyone. Are US embassies in other countries holding F1 visa interviews or is the situation general? Are international students in other countries waiting as we are?

We're all in the same situation. I learnt Germany has interview scheduled for July tho, they're not sure if it will hold cos it was cancelled initially before they rescheduled

Please help!!! I need an emergency F1 visa appointment urgently as school starts 12 of August
Do you have your I-20?
To get you started, I'll suggest you pay the Visa application fee, start your registration, fill your DS-160 form if you have your I-20 but don't pay the SEVIS fee yet, then standby till Visa interview resumes

I will just say this

rewriting a test 2 times is bad, i can tell you categorically, that if you fail a test in the first sitting, in the second sitting you wont score higher mark even if you get 90% of the questions in some exams.

no matter the preparation, as long there is a grading, if you write a test and someone score higher than you, according to the grading system, he is smarter than you.

All test have grading systems and they use the grading systems to judge a student performance in an exam.

Go and Sleep!

It's okay everyone. Some of us are really tense while waiting for the embassy to re-open and this thread is one of the ways we can keep tabs.

Spamming it would do no good please. It's okay.

Seconded 50+ posts, 2pages of back and forth GRE argument is not of much good by this time of the year, most thread readers here are anxiously waiting for visa update.
Don't make things worse by spamming the thread
Thanks

She had two challenges and she failed both. A 2.0 GPA and 138 in GRE QUANT is way too low to be considering doing a masters in mathematics. Her application won't even get a consideration.

Sometimes its more helpful to be direct than the mealymouthed, insincere platitudes.

Lol, I think she's gotten the message by now.
We can now move to the next grin
