neurosci: Most often than not, it is strongly advised that your three referees are Lecturers that either knows you or have taught you before in your previous program. However, there is no harm in having a reference-mix when your school did not mandate the otherwise. In this case, you can go with an employer or superior at work place and two references from academics. Any of the above cases will suffice as it wasn't outrightly specified. |

Anybodie: Thanks. The reason I asked here is because the school does not specify on the website. I also emailed the grad coordinator and department, but no answer. |

neurosci: If you just graduated from a University without any work experience then your references might mostly be academic. Also considering that your references are expected to be people that can attest to your academic and/or professional prowess. But if you have some professional experience then you can go with 2 professional and 1 academic. Goodluck! |

Goodday nairalanders , I'm new here ,I joined because of the amazing content I see here regularly . Please i really want to know ,I wrote my waec last year and this is how the result looks like Mathematics B2 English C4 Further mathematics B2 Physics B3 Chemistry B3 Biology C4 Civic education B3 Economics B3 Data processing C5 I was planning to take the SAT this year but due to the pandemic I'm not sure if that would be achievable , next year though I believe it'll be possible . For now , I'm still focusing on my preparations for the exam ( in terms of reading) because I'm really hoping to score a very high score to get a full ride as I can't afford the education there .It has been my dream for years to study in the US for years and I believe getting a full ride scholarship there is achievable if I work hard . What I just wrote is just a brief description of my goals , I'm sorry I'm not precise enough ,I wanted to fully express myself since I'm new here. Also , I'm 16 years old and I want to pursue an undergraduate degree,My high school gpa is an 'A' average result as I was a straight 'A' student( just in case this question ever comes up) Please I'll be asking a lot of questions , I'll also love to get polite replies . My first question is do you think I can get a full ride with a high SAT score and these results or I'll need to prep for another WAEC . Please I really need answers |

Onah16: I think before you prepare for any WAEC take the SAT...... I think the SAT will be the first step to determine the probability of getting a full ride. Prepare for it with all you have and best of luck 4 Likes |

Thank you very much Justwise for doing justice to the nauseating irrelevant conversation of those twaddling humans(slimmy2005 and afonjaboston) trying to derail the thread. The slimmy2005 boy does not make any significant contribution to the thread only to come and stir up controversies. Old man always behaving like an adolescent. 8 Likes |

Good Day Everyone, I was introduced to this thread a week ago and I took my time to go through some of the pages and got some information on schools with funding for PhD program in management..I have messaged about three of the schools for fall 2021 Alabama Auburn and Fisk and their response were similar They redirected me to their application page and asked I applied before February... Here is my confusion..I used to think for PhD, you look for availability of supervisor and space before applying... Please, I will be thankful if I can be clarified on the processes as these Graduate officers are confusing me with their response.. I am open to suggestions on schools with funding and high acceptability for PhD management programs Please I need all the information I can get.. Help a sister please.... To all the contributors on these threads...you guys are amazing! |
