But the question remains whether there is marginalization or not against the South Easterners or not? If you say there is no marginalisation you try and prove it in this current regime. The marginalisation is there in your minds. It doesn't exist in reality. As it is, you can't prove it. |

And where are they now.... I don't want to join issue with anyone but that team was filled with elders... Just look at Toni Kroos, De Gea, and so on that are on top of their games now... All came from that tournament.... Without sounding tribalistic or pessimistic that team was a triumph of injustice because we know that there was nothing teenage about the squad Bros show me one African youth team that isn't filled with elders. Me thinks that team was even our youngest U17 squad. Did you see the set of Stanley okoro? |

And I hear some of you saying "I cant wait until 2019" . Note this : if buhari decides to run again, nobody can defeat him in this country. DocHMD: How have abookis contributed to the success of the football? All they want to do is grab and grab power. They've been in power for ages yet can't eradicate polio and poverty in their region yet want to rule over the rest of the country.
We know Igbos have contributed more than their share of making nigerians proud with the likes of Christian chukwu in the 80s, Amunikes, Jay jay, kanu, Uche okechukwu, utaka of the 90s and iheanacho and mikels of these days (yet they are all still hated). WHAT ARE THE ABOOKIS CONTRIBUTING TO MAKE OTHER NIGERIANS PROUD APART FROM GREED FOR POWER? PRO-ABOOKIS TELL US?
The U17 team that won the world cup in 2007 under coach yomi Tella was made of mostly Notherners and yorubas. The only Igbo in the squad was the 3rd choice goal keeper and the team played one of the most beautiful football ever. What you should know is that notherners don't partake in the hustle and bustle to go to Europe for football or menial jobs like your people. And if there were more of them in the team, you would still cry marginalisation. 2 Likes |
Celebrities / Re: Davido: "D'banj Gave Me A Rolex In 2014, But I Never Signed Anything" by anyebedgreat: 5:27am On Sep 02, 2017 |
basilo4312: The way i see it, it wasnt 2014, just a case of slip of tongue on part of Dbanj...guess maybe it was when Davido was 18 or 19.
Moreso, during the Mo-hit era, 'signing' any artiste was a case of oral agreement which was one of Dbanj's biggest career mistakes: he signed everyone in the Mohits - Dr Sid, Wande Coal, D' Prince, Kayswitch even when Don Jazzy did not really want to do so as he was skeptical of taking such risks. infact, most people didnt know that Dbanj's mother was the most important support the Mohit crew had when Dbanj and Don Jazzy came back to Nigeria - she gave her Maryland house for the entire Mohit crew to stay pending when they hit their success because against all odds and even Dbanj's father reluctance, she supported her son solidly in his quest for music success. Remember 'Why Me' Video? The Toyota Previa in that video was Dbanj's mum car which she gave them to convey themselves around when no one else was there to support them. She was therefore the biggest investor in Mohit empire when likes of Dbanj and Don Jazzy were penniless and were even ready to sell Mohit to Storm Records for N1 million because they desperately wanted to 'make' it. However, their story changed forever at the Ali Baba Show of 2007!
Dbanj's legendary status in the modern-music era of African music is beyond mere comprehension which was also sealed by MTV based award of Legendary status t him - When the likes of Tuface, Psquare, etc were still charging N50,000 to maximum of N200.000 per show, he increased the stake to N1 million or Nothing and steadily till he started charging N10 million and then music practitioners and artistes' eyes opened
He was the first artiste to get a multi-million Naira endoresoment - Powerfist in 2006 beating Femi Kuti to same endorsement as Femi was the original artistes in PZ's plan before going ahead to clinch Glo's 70 million Naira deal plus a Range Rover and other entitlements
His direct and indirect impact has affected the careers of artistes like Davido, Olamide, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Naeto C, M.I Ikechukwu even the legends like Tuface and Psquare. Go ask them, the mere mention of Dbanj to most of these superstars and they tell you how Dbanj has forever affected their lives and careers (except of course forever bitter minds among them)
Although, others see it as a failed project or misadventure, Dbanj's Good Music signing was infact the deal-breaker for new generation of music artistes - selling new new African music culture to the global market. When you hear some 'ignoramuses' referring to Dbanj as Kanye West houseboy, i just laugh. If only Don Jazzy could see the future...if only he could understand this bullish visionary called Dbanj, they would be conquering Africa and global market together - with Don Jazzy supplying the iconic African percussion sound and stagemaster Dbanj bringing his A-game Enigmatic prowess to the fore - with the two partners writing the names in gold forever in the history of Africa
A young African boy without any major label backing bold enough to cause disruption in the African music industry is now building his own fantastic music business structure post-Mohit to sell the addictive African sound to the global market. I am closely following on what this Dbanj will use the CREAM Platform to develop in the music world. Like he said, you never see him coming through
One word to sum Dbanj: He will never give up in his Quest to be the Coca-cola of music business and the ElChapo grandmaster of African sound movement.
NOTE: This guy i have never met has really been inspiring my quest for success as a business entrepreneur! D'banj affected 2 face's career. Whedone Sir! That's just like saying Neymar's impact has affected C. Ronaldo's career. 1 Like |

Youngadvocate: Arresting Nnamdi Kanu at this point wont just happen...you guys should just chill. In as much as the Arewa youths who committed treasonable felony by issuing quit notice to the Igbo community in the North or face forceful eviction walk freely in Nigeria and even hold meetings with the President, Fulani Herdsmen who kill and desecrate people's lands and farms still move untouched, you cant possibly arrest Nnamdi Kanu.
There is already so much of emotional attachments and sides are now being taken. It is only a foolish government that will move to arrest Kanu.
I sincerely believe that like they would always do, they are bringing up the threat of arrest for two purposes. One to test people's especially, the Igbo people's reaction on the arrest if it happens and two, to see if they can possibly scare him of, f to chicken out.
Sooner or later, as the 2019 draws nearer, they would finally engage him in a discussion. In fact it would begin immediately, if IPOB succeeds in the Anambra state election boycott.
The major thing everyone should anticipate is the ANAMBRA ELECTION BOYCOTT. Actions and activities of both Nnamdi Kanu and the Federal government will be largely shaped by the outcome of that planned boycott. Boy, his bail will be revoked, he will be taken into custody and nothing will happen. And if you really think people will not come out to vote in Anambra, then you have been living in illusion. 4 Likes |

morbeta: I will comment when I wake up.......for now am sleep-walking and typing at the same time. all I can say is Buhari go to work.
Meanwhile
Igbo must leave the north it's a decoy; the real target is the impending Yoruba presidency- Now, let's explain it out.
The whole idea is to cause a civil crisis by chasing the Igbo's around in inner northern communities, this will then lure the military in, to carry out a coup, and end the Osinbajo nightmare.
The northerners have recently lost all their strategic allies (middle belt, Niger delta and Yoruba, due to their serial abuse) and Yoruba are poised to, and will constitutionally take Over from a sick and incapacitated Buhari.
They need a civil crisis to bring in the military and hold on to power, waste some time, before planning a fresh democratic process that will favour them yet again. A kind of reset button. This must be the reason behind the recent coup rumours, and in testing that water, they realized it will be unacceptable to the west, as military intervention is fading across the world. But if you throw in a law and order breakdown, it will be justified.
Remember, Nigeria military is an all northern affair presently.
If their plans succeed and there's a civil crisis via the "igbo must go crisis", they expect the international community to even plead with the military to step in and restore normalcy.
Make no mistake about it, the northerners can't threaten to scatter Nigeria, because they need the present state of things like oxygen. So, this is a clear classic decoy
Mine is to analyse. Sleep typing I guess. Edit it so it can be sensible and reasonable when you wake up. |

lets say he buys it, he will not sack wenger, becasue dangote is a business man and every business man wants to make money first, especially after sheading a huge sum to buy a club, he will want to make the money back.. aresen wenger might not win titles but he makes money.

I have always maintained that the Igbos and Hausa/Fulani are 2 sides of the same coin.
They both want it all, hence their constant suspicion of each other, and scheming to outdo each other like the Igbo coup and Northern return leg of 1966.
Give an Igbo man power and watch them reprise their 1960's domination of federal government appointments even outside their own region. They will make the federal character principle look like a non existent law.
See, hausas don't give a damn about the igbos. They only respond when Igbos provoke them to a certain level. Igbos on the other hand are so obsessed with the hausas that an igbo man wouldn't sleep well if he doesn't talk about hausa/fulani in a whole day. 4 Likes |
