I currently use Honda Odyssey. I once used à Volkswagen Passat that one ball joint failed and the tire came off. I discussed it with my dad and he explained the signs of a bad ball joint, which I actually experienced before it failed. I have also changed tie rod for my Honda after I experienced signs of failure.
SIGNS
When ball joint is bad, There will be noise from the front suspension and momentary wave, usually to d side of d bad joint, when d car enters a bump.
When tie rods are bad, d steering becomes less precise, noise similar to that of ball joint and shaking of wheels when driving on bad roads.
These signs are not peculiar to Honda. Please have your suspension checked regularly every month if you drive on flooded roads or three months on better roads.

9jacrip: Ive been dealing with something similar. In the moring or after several hours of not driving, the automatic gear button is soft to press and gear is easy to move - after a while it becomes really hard to move except i use both hards to press the button down before being able to move the gear. I also need help!!!!!!

I think u need to check ur battery and charging system. I had similar hard shifting when my alternator was bad and my battery went low.

Pls I need info. My Honda Odyssey drive indicator light is not showing anymore. I researched and found a light online that is said to be a replacement for instrument lights - check engine, transmission, maintenance, etc. Is the drive light or any other light on the instrument cluster replaceable?

I use Honda Odyssey. My advice is first get original Honda ATF DW1 to replace the transmission fluid, and then take it for a scan. Follow the procedure in the manual for a complete change of the ATF. TCS can come on when the wheel or TCS system overheats and resets when engine is restarted. Odyssey is very sensitive to ATF. If TCS is overheating, that can really affect performance of ur transmission.

I got ATF-DW1, left slide door motor unit and a side mirror. The delivery was good and all parts installed and working well. I appreciate ur way of doing business. Thanks for the service. - My car is a 2003 Honda Odyssey.

I have read that story of Job and other related scriptures, and it doesn't in any mean that God put sickness on Job. There is one point that is evident in that story - Job was afraid. The Bible says that "fear is a torment".

Even the devil accused God of blessing Job and putting a hedge of protection around Job and all that Job had in that scripture that you are referring to. How can God then under the taunting of the devil now start to punish Job. What did Job do to God to deserve the punishment.

If you care, do a study on Job and refer to other scriptures, you'll see that Job with his words and actions broke the hedge of protection that God had around him and that's where the devil had a legal right to attack Jobs life.

What this scripture is saying is that Jesus did not think that it is wrong to be equal with God even though he was in the form of a man, yet he humbled himself unto death, even the death of the cross - please read it again from your Bible.

In your last paragraph, you are beginning to sound like the scribes, pharisees and saducees, whom even when a notable miracle was done on a man that was born blind whom they have known over the years to have been born blind, refused to acknowledge that there was a miracle done on that man and that the one who has done it deserve some commendation - because of the their religiousity that could not help the blind man over the years.

I put it this way. God did not make sickness and is never responsible for sickness. But he will heal any one that believes.

In the Garden of Eden, God told Adam not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, that the day he eats of it he shall surely die. God did not say he will kill man, neither did he punish man for eating the tree. He only told man the consequences of his action if he goes that way of eating the tree. When Adam ate of the tree, that day Adam died, and sickness and all manner of evil are all manifestations of death that came it man's life. But Jesus came and destroyed the works of death and gave anyone that believes eternal life.

Life is a choice. you choose to live or to die, it's all up to you. Your choices determine what you believe.

I had a similar Passat, 1.8 T, manual trans. I used it b/w September 2010 and March 2011. Diagnosis does not show all faults. U need a mechanic/electrician experienced in modern vw. Mine had engine issues that did not show in scans including fuel gauge not working. For the fuel guage alone I tried up to five different people and no one could help. In this period I used this car, it parked up on the road at least twice. I changed up to five fuel pumps and 3 sets of spark plugs. It was a nightmare until I met one car dealer who directed me to a mechanic/electrician and every problem in the car was fixed in one day without stress and after scanning without an error. He even gave me a waiver on the fuel guage. That was less than a month before I gave it out.

My point is it is extremely difficult to find competent vw mechanics in Nigeria, so I'll advice u get a good mechanic to help u do a replacement on ur tranny or u may just go on spending and ur car may not work normally.

Just to add to Siena's comments, when a vw car shows a fault signal, it is not good to keep using it without solving the problem. That may work for Toyota or Honda, but it does not work with vw.
