FamilyHow To End A Marriage In Nigeria by aonom(op): 4:52pm On Aug 08, 2009
Hello Naira Landers,

I was just curious to know exactly how a man and woman who have gone through the two stages of marriage in Nigeria, Traditional and Church. But would like to mutually end the marriage without any issues coming up, such as custody of the children or child as the case maybe. I was having a discussion with a friend of mine and we were both curious to know exactly how this might end up in this present day and age in the Nigerian context. Also we would like to know who would gain the custody of their issue (child or children) especially if they are both financially stable. Please note that we are both not married yet and do not have any intension to divorce when we eventually do, IJN.

Kindly throw more light on this issue.

Thanks.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Is Nigerian Police Your Friend? by aonom(m): 3:35pm On Jul 31, 2009
@ Topic:

No the Nigerian Police Force is definitely not my friend. They are just a bunch of extortionist, who have been given arms to do what they know how to do best. That is to Exploit and Oppress the masses. I think they must have gotten some level of training on how to go about doing so while in training. There are a lot of graduates out there as job seekers who would be willing to be in the same shoes as they are, but with morals and scruples. That is only if the Government repackages the whole Police force, beginning from the IG.
FamilyRe: Every Male Is Faithful In Marriage? by aonom(m): 10:28am On Jul 27, 2009
@Topic
Hello Nairalanders. I would just like to make a contribution to this topic. Well from what i understand about marriage, is that once you make a vow to be committed to your partner. Then it is only fair that you stick to your words. The man actually proposed to the woman and promised to remain faithful to her for better or worse till death do them part. Now, it is ridiculous that a man would start jumping from one female to the next after having promised his partner that he would be faithful to her and never see any other woman as being more beautiful or even more sexier that she is. I honestly feel for all those ladies out there who have to go through all sorts in the name of love.

At some time, but really we guys have to grow up and fight away those urges we get when we feel like being with another lady. I am not presently married, but i hope to be as faithful to my partner no matter what. Well i have had my share of heart breaks and yes i know some people may criticize me, but i have been in relationships and maybe had a one night stand a couple of times. I just looked at it as a phase i was going through (being a young man) and now i have met some one i know i can spend the rest of my life being committed to. Then why would i want to hurt her by sleeping around. Have you ever considered if the tables were turned nad you had to be the one at home with the kids and generally taking care of the home and then you know or probably realize that you have a cheating husband. What really would go through you head then?

Never under estimate a woman, my mum once advised me on that. I have never done so and hope i never have to.

@poster, you really do not need to fret. Just resend the C.V, and as one of the members in the house rightly said just send a polite email along side on the amended copy.

Car TalkRe: Helmet In Lagos: He Disappeared! by aonom(m): 3:52pm On Jan 11, 2009
@ Bronx dog, language please,
The fact still remains that Nigerian's still need more awareness on safety regulations. How can a policy be put in place for the safety of okada riders and some forces just want to bring out the worst in what the government is trying to do.
FamilyRe: Her Husband Wants Her Back Home! by aonom(m): 1:33pm On Nov 20, 2008
This guy is just a sore looser, how in the name of Jah would he want her back home. For what? just so he can look at his family with his broke arse. Well i don't support the idea that she should come back. If any body is on the loosing end here, it's the lady and her kids. Let him sit his broke scroney arse back her in 9ja. If he can't get a job he should drop dead, cos he is of no bloody use. What the heck was he doing when every one else was hustling for a jab and how they woud go about building them selves. Look bruv, i don't think you should be selfish, your a man. Accept your bloody fate and let your family get a chance at what the F u don't have. If this was the mentality of our parent and grand parent, where the heck would we be today!
