hey! PHC is not as bad as we hear on TV. i was there earlier this year for like 4 months. i was doing my IT at Multisoft Consulting Ltd, 206 aba rd, rumuola. (it's an accounting software company) All through my stay, i never saw any 'instances' of militants. all you see around are the military guys on patrol ie JTF (Joint Task Force). Militants hide in thick forests and not in the main city. they are not like 'agberos' or area boys in lagos that you see in every corner of the streets

i'm interested based in lagos/ ogun state. i don't think that will be a barrier though cos we are in a global village.

first of all, i want you to understand thaere is a big difference between going for IT certifications and aiming at being a very good programmer. if you want to boost your CV go for certification but if you want to be a good coder, you don't really eed all those certifications stuff (at least from starts).

if you wanna do programming start with VB6 or VB.NET.they are both very easy to understand and very powerful, i like to add that programming requires first class passion

though i 'm good with both ASP.NET and PHP, I will vote for PHP as the best anytime or day

what i mean by free copy is this. when someone posts a topic on nairaland for people to pay for the information/manual they will send whoever pays. e.g. are all those promising to show us how to browse for free, online typing job etc. They should give the moderator a copy of they product/service/manual free of charge so that the moderator can guarantee that they are not frauds

what i am trying to say is this --- the moderator of this site should get a free sample of anything that is advertised for sales on this site so as to confirm its 'genuineness'
