Like, can anything make me lose my money Either principal or interest ?
Thanks The only risk possible is when the institution folds up but still, CBN gat your back. Then when Nigeria no longer exists. Other than those, you are in good hands except hackers remember you |

Grupo: You are a joker.
You approached a bank and they gave you a loan because you mentioned specifically that the money would be used to start an agro business.
Keyword: start an agro business not invest it in treasury bills. Imagine how people react emotionally without reading, I never approached the bank, the reverse was the case. I never asked for agric loan, I do an entirely different thing and the loan was never for agricultural purposes, they just came up with the reason of expansion. Read and comprehend before commenting. Wish I can post their letter but it's not just worth it |
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Apitch(m): 10:10am On Oct 26, 2019 |
Nothing is illegal about using loan to do TB, Before now(that's if it's still not happening), these banks approach you to give you loan, whether you need it or not and they will term it expansion of your biz, knowing that you are capable of paying back. I've seen plenty of it and it's not illegal, everybody is playing safe but due to over subscription, they want to put an end to it. Once upon a time, your TB cert can be used as a collateral. Tell me it was illegal too |

ahiboilandgas: stupid and criminals have been using cbn agric loan. ,bank of industries loans given to customers at 3 to 8 percent to buy up t.b at 12 making 5 percent and killing agric and industries....those 500 bn used to place bid is false ,unfunded , intervention loans ....419 people ....all t.b bid mist funded from real hustle I must say that the banks are the cause of it all. I once tried to access BOI funds through several medium, but to no avail, succeeded in YES-P training and all, but still no funding, now i gave up, only for them to visit my company one day and was trying to see if already-made big companies can access the loan. it pained my soul. If i was given that loan today, i will use it for TB and i won't feel bad one bit. |

elothaddi: Both are ok and the best one depends on how often you will need that particular fund. For MM, your interest is credited everyday and you can liquidate any amount from it provided the first payment to them has stayed more than 30 days. Any subsequent payment can be withdrawn anytime. Lastly the interest rate is always slightly lower than TB. For Treasury Bill, it has different durations from 60days, 90days, 180days, 365 days etc and your interest is credited to you that same day. You can still liquidate anytime but it comes with some charges and you may most likely not get your money immediately in case there is an emergency need for the funds. Get more information online. Please note that subsequent payments would still stay for 30days too before you can withdraw without penalty. |
