Because a ukraine joining nato with its full teritory means russia will have to defend an over 2000km border (the silvaki gap or so) with nato. Which will raise defnse spending. Imagine belarus also a nato territory with ukraine. Thats suice. One thing is sure russia will keep the teritory whether ukraine is nato or not but they would have to win first or be in a position to negotiate favorable terms.

Cheap labor means cheaper output cost plus standard doesn't mean durability alone. It includes safety. I have seen were children toys brought to the US were tested and shown to contain high level of lead, but in Nigeria we don't test for such.

US manufacturers and production companies face a lot of scrutiny plus high cost of labor, an engineer in the US can earn 5 times the salary of an engineer in China so that translate to high cost of production hence high cost of product.
