DystopianMuse: I thinks this your claims are not entirely true. For passenger rail and metro , China n Japan no1. The US lags behind due to the fact that 1.its a car loving nation 2.lacl of political will to get it done 3. Ficking environmentalists n so on n so forth. And private startup like Brightline is fixing that already. But what they lack in passenger they compensate 2ith freight. For roads and bridges I don't thinks so U need to cast your mind to The US highway system one 9f the best in the world. For skyscraper that one na another matter 1st skyscrapers in China is just some of d ways they compete with the west and some of them are ghost cities while some are not even needed . Designs. You need to check out skyscrapers being designed by Sport car making companies like Bugatti 8n the Us and u will be marvelled. Imagine being able to take ur car aling with u to ur condo. I mean any level 3vem if u stay on the topmost floor. What about the billionaires row ultra thin skyscrapers. I can go on nd on.. These are easy verifieable data. The US continuous infrastructure decay is an open secret. I won't waste my time arguing on this. There are areas where the US leads China in creativity. But overall in terms of infrastructure, the US is fast becoming a shadow of its formal self. The US infrastructure decay is majorly as a result of one thing: a flawed, elitism-centric Foreign Policy that prioritize the interest of the establishment than the common American. This is what Annie Ruth Harrison, a US Traveller and citizen said in one interview two years ago when asked about the creative greatness comparison between the USA and China: 1. The US handled the COVID-19 pandemic like a boss—oh, wait…that was China. 2. The US has an amazing, capable, strong president—-oh never mind that would be China again. 3. The US tries to teach terrorists in education camps about job skills and being a peaceful citizen instead of blowing them up—-dang it never mind. That is also China. 4. The US has amazing and well developed infrastructure—just kidding. That is also China. 5. The US has seen astounding and robust growth in the past 30–40 years—-No, actually that’s China. 6. The US holds family values in high esteem and respects its elderly—-actually, that’s China. 7. The US has a vast history, spanning 5,000 years—wait…China again! 8. The US has been at peace without any war for forty years—joking! That would really be…China! 9 The US puts the needs and desires of the people before political interest—-China! China again! 10. The US has the most handsome men in the world—nope, definitely China. The above sounds funny but it tells you the factors that triggers China's creativity to a level that now unfortunately exceed that of the US that spent much of its national life and trillions fighting from one end of the world to another. |

FoolishBoy419: You sir, are very ignorant. That ethnic Asians are excelling more than every other race in American univerisites doesn't automatically mean the best Chinese are in the US. This is as ridiculous as saying the best Nigerian students are those in Europe just because Nigerian students, according to many sources, perform better on average than White students. There are still millions of Chinese and Nigerian students that might have seen no reason to study in America.
Also, I find it shocking that someone would say China produces fake/substandard goods in 2024. You get substandard goods because that is what you are willing to pay for. When you pay the right price, you get the appropriate quality. In other words, he is categorically saying that the millions of Chinese goods entering America are substandard, which presupposes that the FDA and other US standard enforcing authorities are morons and complicit in bringing in substandard Chinese products into the American market. |

Masterviolence: Game over doesn't mean the u.s dollar won't be used but the fact that an equal alternative is in existence the printing of paper to buy physical materials will be gone because If I sell an item I won't be accepting a paper that isn't backed by gold for what I'm selling.
You previously said you're a slave to the west (u.s) so this slavery doesn't only make you myopic but it also makes you dumb. Yes. Dollar would still be in use but the presence of an alternative would take away it's fiscal hegemony as a tool of economic witch-hunt and sabotage. |

China and India are founding members of BRICS despite having border issues. Satan Arabia (my bad ) and Iran that you mentioned are now relating bilaterally and diplomatically again (thanks to China) because their economic geopolitical visions aligns. Strange times they say begat strange bedfellows. My guess is, they would eventually agree on a neutral currency to avoid unhealthy internal competition. |

DystopianMuse: So you think the US dollar evolves around Petro dollar alone or economi3e revolvearoun GDP alone.
The US has some other features while it's king 1. The faith in US system or Govt not to default 2. Wide acceptability (some countries that accept ruppe for example have had hard time spending them) 3. Stability/// some safe heaven currency that investor flock to during crisis 4. Can you trust let's say Yuan for example. A devalued currency can be reserve currency 5. Fed reserve transparency 6.The stability of the political system of the issuing country The size and prospects of the economy Global integration of its markets and economy A transparent and open economic system A credible legal system The quality of its sovereign debt The ability to bear costs associated with a reserve currency
The size, depth and liquidity of financial markets Many factors .. Petro dollars Even if dollar is to be dethroned it's not now and won't be easy. You just wasted time elaborating the point I made earlier. 1. Howe can the US default when it has the licence to print unlimited Fiat paper whenever it wills due to the fact that the Dollar is a global reserve currency? It can, and has been printing money from thin air, this forcing inflation down the throat of the global market. 2. Wide acceptability made possible SOLELY by the BrenttonWood arrangement. Don't be naive. , Until that arrangement, no one gives a dime about the US Dollar. There is a reason why the US has its military on the asss of every Oil Producing nation on earth. Take out that arrangement and the dollar would just be another ordinary Fiat paper like the Yuan, Rouble, Franc, etc. . The BrenttonWood arrangement that made it compulsory for all nations to sell and buy oil only in Dollars. That effectively secured the place of the US dollars as the most dependable and used currency on the global financial markets. Which country and industry doesn't need oil and it's derivatives? The rest of your points are a no-brainer because some other globally recognized currencies meet those points. Example, the Euro, which was becoming too much of a threat to the US who cleverly came up with "Mission Ukraine" to destabilize the EU market that foolishly sanctioned their economies, in the quest to punish Russia, the lifewire of their industrial competitive advantage. I must admit, the US knows how to play dirty but smart geopolitics. And yes, it's not going to be easy to dethrone the dollar, especially in the petrol dollar scheme. But with the likes of BRICS, that reset is in clear view and could be sooner than many thinks. |

Segun2222: how is it game over for the us, will china carry brics currency to trade from the usa or saudi will buy weapons with brics currency from usa The global sale of oil wired around the US dollar via the Brentton Wood arrangement, and the SWIFT payment system that controls much of the world's financial settlement initiatives is the major reason the US-led west has the ability to sanction any country that do not follow their diktats. If an economic body like BRICS comes up with their own reserve currency similar to the Euro, and their own SWIFT alternative settlement system, considering how huge it is with more members seeking to join, it will drastically undermined the dominance of the Dollar and reduce the effect of the western sanction bullyinng tactics and leverage over the rest of the world, which is increasingly getting fed up with the US-led western economic grindsmanship. Already, BRICS represent 29% of global GDP, accounting for more than $30 trillion dollars of global wealth. And with new members set to join (many of which has positive GDP growth potentials,) the gap between it and the G7 nations would continue to shrink drastically. That is not a good sign for the US-led west abuse of "soft power" to harass other nations. Welcome to multipolarism. |

shoodboi2: Ukraine has anti-ship missiles. Lots of them. It's called the Neptune. That's what they often use to attack Russian ships. It was what it used against the Moskva ship. Ukraine also uses these missiles in land attack roles to attack Russian targets inside Russian territory.
The "original" news channels that you watch have tweaked the news to make it appear as if Ukraine is a weakling that's only in the fight because it's being armed by the west. That is a big fat lie. Ukraine is armed by Ukraine. Western weapons are only used to replace damaged/destroyed/captured Ukrainian weapons.
Ukraine is unable to produce/repair weapons for most part because Russia destroyed the factories at the beginning of the war. This was why Russia fired a lot of missiles at the beginning of the war. It was destroying Ukraine's missiles, warehouses, jets, and ships.
Today, despite all the so-called western aid, the majority of artillery, tanks, armored vehicles, and even air defense systems used by Ukraine are Ukrainian and not western. That should tell you a lot. I must commend you for the time and effort you put in to educate most of these guys here on the forum.
