Please is it possible for the processed passport to be available for pick up without getting confirmation reply from my office for verification?

Cyberknight:

Just part of the process. The Austrian Embassy verifies everything verifiable. Usually their immigration department will call your host/conference organiser in Austria and they will check with your booked accommodation as well. That's why their process can take time.

After all this verification, hope they won't call for interview....... yeah, the host of the conference had details of our information.

Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by approvedxxx: 6:24pm On Feb 21, 2020
The guy was totally confused and he realized himself when he finally saw himself back to Lagos. It was a crazy experience.

Jimmyjax16:
Well in this case, it clearly states that he was refused entry cos anyone who sees that stamp being cancelled will know he didn't enter the country.

Therefore that visa has not been used and still valid for single entry.

The issue now is questions will arise when that cancelled stamp is seen at that point of entry.

That's what I know.

quote author=approvedxxx post=86838975]In this case , the visa was not cancelled... The immigration police had already stamped him in and later just draw a mark on the entry stamp.

Jimmyjax16:
@approvedxxxx ... Here are situations that can make a single entry visa invalid
1) if the person get an entry stamp at the point of entry.
2) if the visa was cancelled at the point of entry and the person deported. A cancelled visa will have a red stamp anotation CANCELLED.
If none of those happened and the person was deported then the person can still use the visa to travel before it's expiry date.

What I mean is that, is it possible to travel again with the visa on a single entry visa permit.

Beverlyhills:
Valid Question. Please do the maths ( please how much does a return ticket cost again?)

Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by approvedxxx: 8:30pm On Feb 20, 2020
WITH SINGLE ENTRY VISA?

UncleBryte:
All he needed to do was to go home and get the necessary cash and return.
It happened to someone I know. They returned to Lagos, got the money and bought another ticket and went back to France and they were allowed in.

Please were you able to track to your application..... I have not been able to .
Thanks

Cyberknight:

I did. They were basic questions - capital city, expected weather, then briefly tell us what you know about the country, etc. Basically, in the days before VFS, BLS and the rest came up and non-appearance became standard and we generally had to attend interviews for visas, it was usual to do some little research into the place to which you were going and to expect such questions at the interview.

He was planning to stay for three weeks and was holding about 1800 Euro or less but it was up to 1500 euro. When he was asked to call someone , he went to call his brother in Germany . I guess they suspected he was not going to return.

pufframmy:
how much was the person holding?
Travel / Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by approvedxxx: 3:30pm On Feb 20, 2020
Very true ..... Even if you specify 7 days ,Italy will give you one month visa and ask you to spend 10 days but you can stay longer as much as you don't exceed your visa validity .

Cyberknight:

You can prepare any itinerary you want, but if its for tourism and/or business, one month is generally too long. A related short course or training program plus subsequent tourism would work better in that regard. So it's up to you to use your discretion.

Unfortunately the Schengen visa categories are what they are - not fixed the way those of the UK are for instance, so you have to take what you get.

If you have details of the previous Schengen visa in 2004, fill it in where requested.

Can you imagine .... Their Head nor correct . Have you heard from them ever since ?[Qquote author=Kevrod post=86772743]

Going for sports

1) likely weather in April in vienna
2) I was given a blank map and told to identify Austria on the map. (This question swept off my feet...lol...I was blunt anyway... Returned it immediately that I don't know)
3) distance from airport to hotel. (This may be right anyway)
4) I told them I will visit museum of national history which I saw online active and selling tickets for people to come. One of the interviewer told me it's under renovations.....I smiled....that's a big lie.. and so on[/quote]
