CCTV FOOTAGE: Hustle & Bustle Breaks Silence On Demise Of A Clubber, Says She Tripped, Died Outside Club Facility


A leading club in Abuja, Hustle & Bustle has broken its silence on the alleged electrocution of a customer at its facility on 14th November, 2021, saying this was not the true fact of the matter.

According to the club owned and operated by Cubana Group in a statement on Thursday, the customer had made a slight run, tripped and fell down near the car park, CCTV footage reveals.

She was said to have became unconscious and sadly passed on while she was being rushed to the hospital.

The club further revealed the police has carried out an extensive review of its CCTV footage during investigation, noting that it is waiting for outcome on the investigation.


"On the 14th of November 2021, a dear customer whilst leaving our premises, tripped and fell and this led to her painful and untimely death.


"Owing to this tragedy, our management reached a decision to shut down our business so as to adequately mourn the deceased, and also allow the police unfettered access to conduct their investigations

"On that fateful morning, the deceased after leaving the cub, was happily playing around with her friends, when she made a slight run, tripped and felt down a few meters to the car park and became unconscious. Sadly, she passed on, on their way to the hospital.


"The Nigerian Police Force have extensively carried out their investigations and thorough reviewed our wide and lengthy CCTV footages and we await the report of this investigation" the club management explains.


It therefore assured the public that it has employed several health and satety standards and will continue to place safety over profit.


It further revealed that it has also used this bitter lesson to upgrade its already decent safety procedures, that it would do its utmost best to continue to serve as a leader in this sector.

Sen. Okorocha's Son, Amen Celebrates Birthday With Praise, Worship

Mr. Amen Amarachi Rochas, son of the Senator representing Imo West district, Sen. Rochas Okorocha on Wednesday marked his birthday with praise, worship and thanksgiving in Abuja.

The event which took place at Unity House Annex had family members and some invited friends in attendance.

His decision to spend an hour in praise and worship was to express gratitude to God for His favour, mercy and blessings in the past year, our correspondent gathered.

Amen Rochas, a renowned philanthropist like the father Sen. Okorocha, a former governor of Imo state is also the founder Juremi Foundation.

Family and friends took their turns to extol him for his impacts in the society.

In response, he expressed gratitude to them for finding time to celebrate with him on his special day, praying that God leads them safely to their destinations.

The celebrant has advanced the welfare of physically challenged persons in the society with his non-governmental organisation, Juremi Foundation.

In recent times, Amen Okorocha has reached out to these vulnerable ones in the society where he donated items such as crutches, wheelchairs, special beds, hearing aids among others with the aim of making their daily living more convenient.

In 2018, in recognition of its undying support and contributions to humanity, especially those leaving with disabilities, the National Health Advancement Conference honoured the organidation as the Leading Humanitarian Foundation of the Year.

His father, Sen. Okorocha is said to be one of the biggest philanthropists in Africa with his Rochas Foundation.

The Foundation which was established in 1998 is said to have so far trained 25,000 children, produced 6,000 graduates, some of who are now in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Google.

Hon. Nwulu Hosts PDP National Youth Leader, Pledges Support To His Policies, Programmes

Former governorship aspirant of PDP in Imo State, Hon Tony Nwulu, on Monday, played host to the newly elected National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Muhammed Suleiman Kadade, at his Abuja residence.

Hon Nwulu, who represented Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency from 2015-2019, during Hon. Muhammad's visit pledged support to the agenda and programmes of the main opposition party's National Youth Leader especially as preparations commence ahead of Ekiti and Osun State governorship elections.

He also advised the young National Youth leader of the party to reach out to all Nigerian youths irrespective of political leanings and affiliation in the arduous task of rescuing Nigeria from insecurity and economic downturn the nation has been plunged into by the APC led administration.

Wike pledges N5m monthly FFS for fire trucks maintenance

Port Harcourt, Aug. 12, 2021 (NAN) Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers has pledged N5 million monthly to the Federal Fire Service for the maintenance of firefighting trucks in the state.
He made the promise during the commissioning of one modern firefighting truck, Basic Life Support Ambulance (BLS) and one water tanker on Thursday in Port Harcourt.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola had approved the deployment of newly acquired firefighting trucks to Federal Fire Services (FFS) in states to complement efforts of states firemen.
The Governor said that the monthly donation was also to buy consumables to ensure the sustenance and smooth running of the newly commissioned trucks.

“ We will give N5m monthly and it is not to be shared among yourselves.
“It is for use to make sure the vehicles are maintained.
“Our money is not to service other states but to service the people of this state.
“Whatever we give for the service of the vehicles, use it here.
“Once there is a fire outbreak and we hear there are no consumables, we will stop the funding and return the vehicles to where it came from,” he said.

He expressed concerns over the safety of lives and property as he pleaded for the trucks to be judiciously utilised for the interest of residents in the state.
Wike also stated that the state government was ready to equip the state fire service with two utility vehicles but he was unable to comment on the inclusion of the fire service in the state security council.

He however, said that he was concerned about the maintenance of the vehicles by those in charge of ensuring it’s proper utilisation.
“ The problem we have now is that will those who ought to manage this trucks and vehicles carry it out for the benefit of the people.
“ There might be situations of outbreaks and the equipment might not be around because it might have been hired rather than used for the interest of members of the public,” he said.
He commended Dr Ibrahim Liman, Controller General, FFS for the equal distribution of the modern trucks to states in the country.
Wike said “Thank you for not playing politics but doing the right thing and not relying on belonging to the same party before carrying out what’s right.”

The FFS boss assured the state government of his commitment to monitor the federal and state fire services in the state and make sure the promised monthly funds were utilised.
“ The consumables which includes: chemicals, diesel and auxiliary equipments are very expensive so we appreciate the gesture of the Governor.
Liman said the Minister of Interior has promised to deploy more fire trucks on or before the end of 2021.

He said that the deployment of the trucks was to improve firefighting and enhance service delivery in the state and country at large.
The CG on behalf of the state fire service had earlier requested for the allocation of two utility vehicles, recruitment, sponsorship of personnel on trainings and inclusion of the service in the state security council.

Anambra State is hugely endowed with enormous resources.

Onitsha in Anambra State and Nnewi are among the commercial nerve centres of Southern Nigeria.
