Its Testimony time! So i remarked my BC results, circled W and S, results came in around first week in June, too 10 weeks exactly, S got increased but not W, i felt so bad but at least i got my 15k back. I became confused and felt i was running in circles, i didn't want to write again, the emotional and psychological effect was hitting me big time, spoke to Newmum(you already know how i feel about you), she asked me to write again, she was even willing to proof read my writing (sweet soul), no one was optimistic about remarking IDP, given their track record, even though i maxed out the other modules (talk about CLB10 ). However, I made up my mind i wasn't going to write this exam again, and this was my response to everyone that asked. Secretly, i applied for MOD IDP remark! I couldn't tell a soul (not even @Stillz that was checking on me everyday), was just hoping on God, i really felt i deserved more than i got in W. I followed up with IDP Australia, the remark was done in 2 weeks and on 2/7/18 i got my result, and guess what? UPGRADE!!!!!! W went from 6.5 to 7, new score is 8.5, 8, 7, 8.5 for LRWS respectively, isn't God good?? after 3 tests and 2 remarks! Help me thank God, its as if i just crossed the red sea! ArabianRose: second attempt...at this point i am just tired, i don't know what to do. Listening: 8.0 Reading: 9.0 Writing: 6.5 Speaking: 7.5
PS; i have always maxed out speaking and writing, and remark is 12 weeks? 3 freaking months!!!? The above was my post- April 6th.
So I took Newmum's advice, to apply for EOR with BC and rewrite, this time around, IDP. Guess what? I think this feels worse. Anyway, LRWS came out as 8.5, 8, 6.5, 8.5. To think I was going for CLB10 . BC remark isn't out.. 7weeks now. At this point, I have had it up to my throat |

Thank you so much for this! God bless you. czaratwork: For those in Branch Banking Operations and even branch Internal Control, Do you know that experience can fetch you Anti Money Laundering Analyst role here in Canada? Check the JD of AML analyst online and look out for the transferable skills you have as customers service officer and operations manager and tailor your resume to those skills. You may need a little brushing up like reading and taking the ACAMS exams (Anti money laundering certification exams)to prepare for the market. If you don't want to take the exams, you can read the materials to prepare yourself and defend your resume.
Back home most of us have our STR software that is integrated into our core banking application to pull out information for transactions above threshold but here you do the investigation and write a report which the manager would approve before filing the STR.
You just need a little brushing up before launching yourself into that area. It has so many roles like analyst, investigator, quality assurance etc. People with operations and internal control/compliance experience back home just brush themselves up and launch into the market here.
You know in Nigeria, one person is made to do 10 peoples work but not so here. Roles are seperated here.
While thinking of what to do here also give it a thought. |

Thanks Elfmann, I was actually thinking in the same direction as below.. wait till BC is out, and remark IDP 45k isn't 45kobo. Thanks guys. Elfmannisback: I think u can still apply for a remark with IDP but not immediately. Mark when it gonna elapse and be hoping on the one from BC. Redoing should be out of it, kai kai. |

Putting in for MOD remark isn't even encouraging given their track record of not sending the scripts to Australia and scores remaining same. Anyways, thanks for your input, I appreciate. Oopsy: Not sure rewriting right now is a good option. You cal also send in for EOR on this. Learnt with IDP takes 2 weeks. I'm sure you'd pull through! |

ok, Gracias mcstan18: No ma'am. By that, I mean either of the two can be his primary NOC while the other is used to get him up to his desired 3 years of work experience. |

@ the below, this is a bit confusing, are you saying his two experiences must be above 1 year and continuous to be used? this statement is somewhat contradictory or i am reading it wrong mcstan18: You haven't been deceiving yourself brother. Your 455 is still intact. You can use both NOCs if they both fall under the required categories (0, A or B). Each one exceeds the minimum 1 year, continuous... requirement. |

Hi, I see you are abit confused, am no guru on this but I can remember this was discussed severally in part 3 of this thread, ATS was seen to get favorable evaluation for use in two or more certificates, but ICAN doesn't due to new syllabus or something like that. Please check out happytbaby's posts and part 3 thread as a whole, therein lies the answer you seek. As for statement of result, it's a yes, I used same. As for transcript, it should be addressed to WES. Happy sunday . ceechedah: Thank you for your response, I really appreciate.
I read on this thread that using ican won't favour me because it will be seen as a two year equivalent degree in Canada. However, someone who is already in Canada via PR told me she understands that using ican and your university degree will be seen as having two bachelor degrees by WES. Pls is this true? Should I send my ICAN and my degree certificate? Or I should just send my degree certificate alone?
Note: I didn't do ATS |

Good morning, you might want to check WES website, there should be info there about sending transcript yourself. By the way, your moniker rings a loud bell.. ceechedah: Hello house, pls can I include my ICAN certificate as part of the documents to be evaluated to get more points?
Also, if I get my transcript from my school but it is still sealed will it be accepted by WES? Everyone here is saying it must be sent directly. Pls house help |
