Politics / Even Supreme Court Misspells Disqualified Deputy Candidate's Name In Bayelsa by aran: 4:17pm On Feb 16, 2020
Now take a look at the names of Senator Degi Eremienyo in his credentials in which some of the names were misspelled by the institutions he went to that lead to him having sworn multiple affidavits and compare with the names written in the Supreme Court judgement.

Assuming the Supreme Court was to be a degree awarding institution, Senator Degi Eremienyo will have to swear affidavits in the Law court as a new certificate will not be issued to him for the errors. In the said judgement, his name; WANGAGHA is spelt as WANGAWA, WANAGHA and WANAGBA respectively. EREMIENYO is spelt as ERKMIENYO. BIOBAKUMO is spelt as BROKUMO.

BIOBARAGHA which is also a name spelt in error in one of his certificates is spelt as BIOBRAGHA by the Supreme Court. Now if the Supreme Court can make such typographical errors in a crucial judgement such as this one, how much more a certificate awarding institution.

The last of this matter is yet to come. The Supreme Court now have to correct itself as the names and spellings in the judgement are not that of Senator Degi Eremienyo.

Politics / Re: Revealed: How Governor Dickson Plans To Sell Bayelsa Oil Firm by aran: 7:28am On Sep 21, 2019
The question now is why would a state sell-off one of its major source of revenue?
Why now barely 6months to this government's expiration?
In whose interest?
Why is it done in secrecy?
Politics / Revealed: How Governor Dickson Plans To Sell Bayelsa Oil Firm by aran: 7:19am On Sep 21, 2019
Barely four months to his exit from office, the governor of Bayelsa state, Mr. Seriake Dickson has perfected plans to sell the state owned Atala Oil Marginal Field otherwise reffered to as Bayelsa state Oil Company Limited (BOCL), our investigation has revealed.

In a letter to the Board Chairman of BOCL, Secretary/Legal Adviser to BOCL, Barr. Oruah Mark accused the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Ebikabowei Dorgu, of running the affairs of the company in secrecy.

Mark alleged that the governor has collaborated with the BD to sell 41 percent out of BOCL’s 51 percent participating interest in Atala Marginal Oil Field together with its operatorship to Halkin Global Investment Limited (HGIL).

According to Mark, the MD wanted to coerce him into signing an already prepared document for the sales of the above mentioned percentage of the state owned oil field but he declined amidst threats to sack him.

In the letter to the board which copied the state Commissioner for Mineral Resources and the Attorney-General/Commissioner for Justice, Mark revealed how he was taken to Brass Suits and hotel in Yenagoa on September 4, 2019 with a view to force him sign the document.

“Months after the MD’s assumption of office, he has been conducting the business of the company in utmost secrecy, efforts to make him see reasons and act otherwise are often resisted with threat of sack and other verbal attacks.

“It all started when the MD instructed me to ensure that certain named members of the board meet with him in the office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House for an important assignment.

“Thereafter, he gave me two copies of BOCL board resolutions for execution. The resolution was a document authorizing management to negotiate and execute necessary documents to assign 41 percent out of the 51 percent BOCL participating interest.

“He told me that the document was prepared by HGIL but in a brief moment, l asked of the N10 billion loan facility from Sterling Bank which he is currently processing and whether CEPL and HONL settlement and pay-off has been concluded.

“He explained that those issues were ongoing but that this transaction was directed by the governor and I was surprised that all these activities with a third party investor are happening without my knowledge.

“In the evening of the same day, the MD called me to meet him at Brass Suits to execute some documents for him. At arrival, the MD took me to his room and requested me to initial and sign a copy of Farm-In Agreement and Service Agreement between BOCL and HGIL.

“The agreement assigns 41 percent out of the BOCL’s 51 percent participating interest in Atala Marginal Oil Field together with its operatorship to HGIL for consideration of $4 million on the basis of installmental payments to wit: $500,000, $1.5 million and $2 million respectively,” the letter reads in parts.

Mark is therefore calling on the relevant bodies including the Minister of Petroleum Resources to call the MD and his ilk to order to avoid the rash decision of selling Bayelsa’s major source of revenue without following due process.

“It is my opinion that whoever is directing the approval of this transaction must be the end-point or overall beneficiary of the transaction while BOCL, its staff and Bayelsa as a whole lose terribly.

“Sequel to the foregoing, it is highly recommended that activities of the MD regarding the secret dealings concerning the management of BOCL, Atala Marginal Field, OPL 240, BOCL’s lawful partners and potential investors be called to order or checked immediately to forestall the apparent intention to destroying BOCL beyond lawful and useful repair,” he concluded.

Efforts to reach the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Markson proved abortive as he did not reply his calls and text message sent to his cellphone.

Politics / Re: For Godswill Akpabio, It’s The End Of An Era by aran: 1:15pm On Mar 05, 2019
Apkabio said "....the election will last only three hours."

But

Akwa lbom people decided "....that the election lasted 72 hours/3days."
Politics / For Godswill Akpabio, It’s The End Of An Era by aran: 1:00pm On Mar 05, 2019
He was heralded as a once in a life time generational leader who bestrode the political space like a colossus; well revered, highly influential and seen as a leader who could lead his people to new heights of greater prominence.

He curried power and cherished the affluence and influence that made him larger than life. He laid down a philosophy in which the people believed in him and stood by him in his leadership to give a better meaning to development. He was called the Great Teacher. He laid down set templates in governance and was perceived at that time to be a team player who would stand firmly by his decisions to stand by his people.

The story of Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio whose walk up the political ladder is a lesson in our political history of the gains in leadership and above all the lessons of betrayal with the agony, pains of defeat and utmost rejection.

Godswill Akpabio came into the political limelight in 2002 when he was appointed Honorable Commissioner for Petroleum and Natural Resources by the then Governor, His Excellency, Obong Victor Attah in Akwa Ibom State. Between 2002 and 2006 he served as Commissioner in three key ministries, Petroleum and Natural Resources , Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs/ Lands and Housing.

He used his Office as Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs to build a strong political structure across the 31 Local Government Areas in Akwa Ibom State which positioned him in pole position to contest the governorship primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2006.

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2019/03/01/for-godswill-akpabio-its-the-end-of-an-era/?amp

The power rotation arrangement which had ceded the political leadership to Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District had clearly favoured him and even though Governor Victor Attah had kept faith in having his son in-law, Dr. Udoma Ekarika as his successor, Godswill Akpabio shrugged off a stiff contest that lasted several days with a change of venue and about 57 aspirants to emerge as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the governorship elections in Akwa Ibom State.

He went ahead to win the elections in the 2007 general elections and became the third civilian Governor of Akwa Ibom State. He served under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party. His tenure witnessed revolutionary strides of development in Akwa Ibom State especially with the increased allocation to the state due to the high price of Crude Oil in the international market. His tenure as Governor in Akwa Ibom State was termed ‘’ The Uncommon Transformation Years ‘’ which won him political accolades and a new horizon which many political pundits severally described him as ‘’ The Emerging Tiger’’.

His political fame and power saw him being elected by his colleagues as the pioneer Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors forum in 2013. It was a breakaway faction of the Governors Forum.

In 2011, Godswill Obot Akpabio was re-elected for a second term in office and upon the end of his tenure in 2015, he contested and won the Senate seat for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District (Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District) to represent the area in the Eighth Senate.

Fate smiled on him as a first timer at the Senate and was nominated by his colleagues to emerge as the Senate Minority Leader on July 28, 2015.

His rise on the political ladder was described as legendary and he was expected to speak as a voice that will protect the interest of his Senatorial District, Akwa Ibom State and the South South region, the home base which gave him the platform for national prominence.

Power, it has always been said is intoxicating and absolute power intoxicates absolutely and with the aura of political influence along the corridors of power, Godswill Akpabio walked the terrain with the might of ‘’ Goliath’’ as the only influence on any political decision for his people.

The first tell-tale signs of the fall of his political kingdom which he ignored was the loss of confidence by his colleagues in the Senate who felt that as the Minority Leader, he had failed to be vocal in presenting issues of national interest for the opposition at the Legislature.

For the record, Godswill Akpabio had a no love lost relationship with his predecessor Obong Victor Attah even till date and once again, played into the hands of the negative side of history with his over bearing influence on the administration of Governor Udom Emmanuel his successor, which was rejected.

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2019/03/01/for-godswill-akpabio-its-the-end-of-an-era/?amp

The defection of Godswill Obot Akpabio on August 8, 2018 to the All Progressive Congress (APC) signalled his rapid descent down the ladder of his political career as his defection rally which was meant to widen the support base of the party in Akwa Ibom State failed to attract any prominent politician to join him on his new journey into political suicide and wilderness.

There were speculations that Godswill Akpabio hurriedly jumped ship due to overbearing threats by agencies of the Federal Government to investigate his tenure and seize the alleged billions of Naira he had stashed away.

That defection cost Godswill Akpabio his political future. He failed to consult his close allies on his decision. He failed to tell the people of Akwa Ibom State why he had suddenly jumped ship of his political ideologies. He failed to consult the people who he had over many years imbibed the rejection of the ‘’Broom Party’’ describing the party members as slaves and prayed to God that the people of Akwa Ibom State can never go back to identify with such a party.

This same Godswill Akpabio told a bewildered nation on national television network how in 2015, he betrayed his erstwhile party the PDP and former President Goodluck Jonathan in the Presidential elections of 2015 where he declared that ‘’ his heart was with President Buhari’’, yet he was among the key figures of the Jonathan administration.

He resigned as Senate Minority Leader and boasted at campaign grounds that the Presidential elections in Akwa Ibom State will be concluded within three hours. He was given the task to deliver the South-south region to the All Progressive Congress .

threats to use federal might to harass prominent Akwa Ibom politicians was condemned. He was fingered as the power behind the crisis which erupted at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in November 2018 which was roundly rejected and defended by the people and began playing a larger than life status as the kingmaker in Akwa Ibom State where his voice will hold sway.

Godswill Akpabio under rated his challenger to the Senatorial seat His Excellency, Obong Christopher Ekpenyong of the Peoples Democratic Party describing him as a ‘’walkover’’, he under rated the political voice and strength of his people with expectations that his people will bow to his wishes. He forgot that the people of Abak Five who felt deprived from having the Senate seat over the years would revolt. He forgot that the people of Ini and Ikono Local government Areas would not tow his inglorious path. He forgot that the people of Obot Akara Local Government Area had resolved to keep faith with their son, Obong Christopher Ekpenyong. He forgot that his hometown Essien Udim Local Government had since turned their back against him for betraying them and defecting. He failed to see the signs that the glory of God had departed from him. He failed to see the determination of his people to oust him.

Drowning within the tide of the waves against his political future, he tried to play god once again. He used coercion. He depended on the security agencies to intimidate his own constituents. He barked, nobody moved. He yelled, the people stood firm. He threatened, the people remained resolute to defend their votes.

The election of February 23 will remain his albatross, by the end of the day; the news had begun to spread across the country of the eclipse of the Uncommon Transformer. An election he boasted will last three hours lasted three days. God stood firmly with the people. They kept faith till the results were formally declared late Tuesday afternoon.

"Today, I want to talk to you about the coming elections this Saturday, February 16, 2019.

My simple message to you is that if you love Nigeria, you must come out to vote.

The best antidote to rigging of elections is a high voter turnout. Remember, none of us is greater than all of us.

I proved that my political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian. Now it is your turn to prove that nobody’s political ambition is worth the blood of any citizen."

I want to believe and conclude that this letter did not come from the Kano State House of Assembly. Why?

1. The style and grammar used,
2. The DATE is obvious that 26th October, 2018 is not a Thursday ,
3. 26th October, 2018 is a Friday(next week),
4. The institution of Kano State House of Assembly would not make such errors on their invitations to anybody,
5. They cannot invite Jaafar Jaafar to come on the 26th of October, 2018(Friday) and expect him to appear on Thursday(a day before).
Politics / Aisha Buhari Arrests Her Adc by aran: 3:17pm On Sep 25, 2018
Lishman, a Reporter with Rhythm 94.7 FM Yenagoa, posted this on his facebook page. He also said that the ADC is already in custody as investigations has started. He wrote thus:

"Nigeria's First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari has caused the arrest of her own Aide De Camp ADC, after accusing him of defrauding her.

The president’s wife is alleging that Sani Baba-Inna, a chief superintendent of police, received huge donations from politicians and business people on her behalf and then kept the cash to himself.

Mrs Buhari therefore requested the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to arrest and compel Mr. Baba-Inna to refund the money, put at over 2.5billion naira.

The police officer was arrested on Friday and has remained in detention ever since, with relatives having no access to him."

UPDATE: SSS CONFIRMS DETENTION OF AISHA BUHARI'S ADC

The State Security Service (SSS), has confirmed that it is in custody of the Aide De Camp (ADC), to the wife of the president, Aisha Buhari.

The secret police said Sani Baba-Inna, a chief superintendent of police, is undergoing interrogation.

PREMIUM TIMES had reported Monday how Mrs Buhari petitioned the police alleging her ADC defrauded her of N2.5 billion.

Following the petition, the Police, last Friday, arrested Mr Baba-Inna and raided his home in the Garki District of Abuja.

However, the outcome of the raid and checks on his bank account showed that money of such magnitude was not in those locations.

Not satisfied, Mrs Buhari asked the SSS to take over the investigation.

The spokesperson of the service, Peter Afunanya, had told PREMIUM TIMES that he was not aware of the arrest but would revert once he received information on the matter.

Mr Afunanya kept his words and called us this afternoon to confirm that Mr Baba-Inna was in custody at the headquarters of his agency in Abuja.

“He was handed over by the Police and investigation is ongoing,” he said.

A member of the Baba-Inna family also informed us that the SSS allowed Hassana, the wife of the ADC to meet him today.
