Access bank, when paying for application they take like 160+ say 170 per Canadian dollar, how much do you think they will pay for you directly? Well I have not done that b4

EmmaMsc:

It is very expensive as bank debit cards normally use parallel market rates. This is by far higher than the official CBN rate (about 200 naira) used for form A transactions.

Which bank increased spending to 7000?

Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Arcayo: 8:10pm On Dec 18, 2015
If your school accept card why can't you pay with it, spending on cards have been increased to $7000 per week online and POS.... but please be careful ooo

EmmaMsc:

It is really hard oh. I have filled form A since wednesday in first Bank. But up till now it has not been processed because of dollar scarcity.

@all Which bank currently have forex?

I don't know if am right but did you answer yes in the questionnaire that you have done medicals b4 and instead of asking Q-life about the medicals why didn't you just tell them to forward your results again to CIC they are business pple and are there to make money... pls ooo Gurus in the house correct me if am wrong
Ethan45:
Can you imagine these Q-life people. I did my medicals there ending of sept this year and passed it the first time and now i submitted another application to the embassy on 20th Nov and was requested to do medicals again, called Q-life and they are telling me to still pay for another medicals to be done again, when i passed the first one, they didnt even deduct any sum from the money,a total of 28k.

Goodness me,do they think money grows like grass,i called the customer care now and shes telling me to bring another money, that the first medicals is irrelevant, there is nothing she can do,i should tell her when she wants me to book another appointment with them,Oh my good God,you are in heaven oh,shebi you are seeing these,if these canadian peps dont want to issue pep visa why dont they say it before medicals, they tell you to do medicals which afterwards your visa would be denied.

Oluwa seriously i dont know what to do oh ,this is apparently wickedness. cry

I am sorry if I have offended you by being off-point. Yet, I fail to see how insulting me helps the person in question. You could have helped him a lot more by focusing on the issues you have so clearly observed I neglected. It's that easy.

Bros take am easy he didn't insult you in his statement, and I don't think you hav to apologize.... you were just trying to help the guy too.....non of my business Sha....sorry say I put mouth ooo

I actually laughed....thanks for the prayer and encouragement, I will keep positive.
ayooluwatoni:

You're funny. Just kept laughing. Bros you've submitted your app already. There's nothing any one can do here than to wish you all the best. God will favour you. Just be positive.
BTW, it's not too early to apply for visa. CIC can be unpredictable at times.

Prepare towards the online stream that will open January 18 i think, the paper one has closed already. Details about the online system will be available from January 5th or 6th so, prepare all your docs and familiarise yourself with the system when they make the info available.

Meanwhile, i hope you have calculated your points very well and you have the required score otherwise, your application fee will enter voicemail o? Also, you have to get certified true copies of your transcripts, certificates(including confirmation of result from WAEC which will not be given you by hand or, you can go to the ministry of education to get all your educational certs certified for you). Also, you will need to get letter from the office of the Chairman, Board of revenue showing you have being paying tax for the past five years and they will also show a table of your income vs tax paid per year.

Best wishes
Thank bro....this one na long thing
@debbiesjosh....thanks too

Spot on.

Thanks bro.

Also, can you confirm the "document by document" WES evaluation is good to go in this case since its for Immigration and not study purpose.

I asked because that should cost 150 canadian dollars (which is equivalent to less than 30k naira), but I read earlier in the thread that some pay as much as 50k naira for the evaluation so I'm at a loss as to why. Im I missing something?
You are paying $322.08 in total courier and tax inclusive

That makes it two certificates of which one is at least 3years, so you can choose two certificates.
Thanks, I will change it on my EE profile

Do your evaluation first, without it you cannot decide which educational level you will choose, it is what the evaluation of your educational qualification says that will determine what you will choose. Infact, without it, you cannot register an Express Entry account. However, ND+HND is usually evaluated as two certificates

I have done it,its three years diploma and one year postgraduate

@JesusDway, Zandora.... please clarify these, is ND and HND equivalent to Two or more certificates, so that some us with HND will not go and misrepresent and disqualify at the end of the day

You can be a member, anyone can be a member of any body infact I am a member of 2 professional bodies. However in order to claim the 250 additional points you'll need to obtain professional certificates to enable you practice and this can only be gotten by writing their professional exams. This is what CIC states in order to claim 50 additional points:

'Professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession(also known as First professional degree or Entry-to-practice professional degree)

For Express Entry, we only accept professional degrees in these fields:

medicine,
veterinary medicine,
dentistry,
podiatry,
optometry,
law,
chiropractic medicine, or
pharmacy.

As you can see it's called a degree so you'll have to sit for the body's exams to obtain it.

Understood thanks a Lot, I appreciate

You can't just pay for membership fees and get additional 50 points. You'll need to write professional exams depending on your profession and if it's a regulated profession in Canada and pass them before you can claim the 50 points.

Thanks, here is the message from the representative.

Hi Mr. Orun,

Please find attached the TechNova Application in a PDF format as you requested.

Yes one of your references can be from your supervisor in Nigeria. Also required is one year Canadian work experience in which you will have a second reference. Until you have one year Canadian work experience you will be only granted Associate membership.
