My day is never complete without NairaLand even after submission.

abbyode: This is for all the gurus in this house.
I have been a silent reader of this thread since last year and I have been following all the conversation. However, I have some few questions. I have an MEng, MBA, PGD & HND (Elect & Elect) all evaluated by WES. My IELTS results came out yesterday in which myself and my wife performed poorly though. We both scored 6.5 and 6 average (We dint really prepare for it). I am the PA and my wife ECA is not yet ready.
Be that as it may, I still entered the pool and got a CRS score of 325 which is surprisingly low. Now the questions...
1. Could this be as a result of the poor IELTS result? 2. Could this be age related as I am 40 and wifey is 39? 3. Why is this score so low? 4. What other options can we pursue?
I have entered the Job Bank and discovered I could apply for couple of jobs there. We are planning to write IELTS again but I'm just wondering if that alone will fetch enough marks to get an ITA.
Your advice is needed please.
Thank you! Go through PNP, prepare for Nova Scotia it might open next month...for more information visit their website |

sammyacbxyz: Thanks Arcayo, PR is great but I also have educational goals. Slight change in plans. I am thinking of applying and going for an MBA straight up. Although I need to see my GCMS notes first. Does that look positive? Besides is it not a red flag to be on the PR pool while applying for TRV? I have read about the dual intent stuff but I don't trust that ish
I really need some more advice to make a decision.
Its OK to get your GCMS note but if you are qualify for PR pls dont hesitate, they don't deny PR like TRV |

sammyacbxyz: Thanks @yemdogg. I am 29 years old with 6 years of working experience. My plan is to get a CFA before going for my MBA which is part of my future plan as mentioned in SOP. Also stated the pgd will help when i eventually go for MBA.
How do I tackle travel history. I don't 've time for travel now. Will going to Ghana help?
Guy check the attached document if your experience is close enough to any of the Noc in demand and stop wasting your time and money on TRV and go for PR, I was in your shoe once, though got my TRV in third attempt. Evaluate you credentials and sit for IELTS, you can be nominated within 3months and get ITA. TheDreamChaser: Hi everyone,
I applied for a study permit on July 26 2016. My application was denied for a second time on 16th December 2016, I linked my application online as I applied through the paper route. I have not gotten my passport back up till date. I have mailed VFS Lagos and accra immigration, no positive response. I went down to VFS today and they told me there is nothing I can do other than to wait for my passport to be returned back from Accra like WTF. Anyone with any useful information on how to get my passport back as I really need it to apply for a German visa should kindly quote me.
Thank you Raise CSE if that will help to contact Accra |

michV: I may have to bitterly drop this here again which recently happened.
you can imagine when a moniker from this forum has me as a contact, got every ''single detail'', loop holes and processes involved in securing TRV and had an agent to finish the process, only to utilize me out of my work schedule in office, my leisure times and thinks using an agent has an advantage and at last i received ''thank you very much/God bless you'' and pays the agent more than N150k which i got to know when i smartly asked about how the application is going only to find out ''I have already submitted''.
my point here is if you would use an agent, why bug me to the core constantly and I do everything to please you, only to find out I am good to be utilized while an agent is good to have a good pay. I don't think I would tolerate PMs anymore from this forum because some/most contacts here are not useful to me,share your problems openly in this forum, if I come online and feel like commenting,i do. if i don't feel like even being quoted, I skim through the pages and leave.
*TRV Doctor* you have done your part bro... when you look at it in another perspective you are not the only one on this forum, the guy picked you out of the gurus in the house for reasons best known to him/her maybe for your good advise/analysis of applications..... paying an agent to finish the job might not be his/her decisions (might be parent or sponsors funding the application/education. continue with your good work bro you dont know who might help you with soft landing in Canada/US/AUS in the nearest future 3 Likes |

emeify: pls how did you bget the SAKS nimintion? Did you get a job there first? Please can u give details of how u went about getting that provincial nominee?
Thanks plenty
You don't really need job offer to get nominated by SINP, if your profession/Noc is in demand and you meet all the requirements/criteria by getting 60points minimum out of 100 and able to submit all required documents before the threshold fills up and scale through the assessment......Nomination awaits you 1 Like |

Sallysweet: Hello house, I have a question for those that are re-applying or any one knowledgeable In this area.
1. In filling the application for study permit form made outside of Canada, do I leave the UCI number section vacant or fill the UCI number received on the refusal letter? 2. Are there other important Information with regards to codes or numbers that must be lifted from a previous application?
I applied online initially. I am planning on taking the paper route this time. Please assist. Thanks in advance 1. You have to include the UCI number on your refusal letter. 2. No other code, just indicate you have been refused Visa before |

xyoung: I have a 2nd question people. Strange question I must confess. I have a BEng with 4.2cgpa, a MEng with 4.0 cgpa and 8years of Engineering experience but I applied for a MEng in Uregina (Reason being that my Masters programme in Nigeria was still in progress during my Canada application so I decided not to include just in case I end up abandoning the masters but somehow I managed to finish the Master program). My question is can I switch over to a PhD program when I get to Uregina with a MEng admission? I don't think you can just switch to PhD program without applying for it. The best bet is to make inquiry from the school |

Chrissybaybee: Hello House Thank you for your help so far & may God continue to Bless you all.
Ok so I'll be submitting my sponsors sal acct. she usually has a monthly inflow of 800k-1.2m. In Jan, she had over 10m in her acct but has since then not had up to dat except about 2-3months ago when she had about 3-4m in her account.
My qtn now is, if she puts in 10-15m in her account, will this seem like Lodgment to d VO? Or will this be fine based on her monthly inflow?
Secondly, she wants to transfer about 3m to my account and explain in her sponsorship letter that this is to aid my transportation to Canada as well as my accommodation while in Canada. Mind you, my account has not really been active, never had such amount in it. Will this be a good idea? My program is for one year.
Please kindly respond.
Cc @Arcayo @Tarry The main boss have answered your questions and I concur with that.... |

But there is another sponsor, that one was a co-sponsor, This one is the first sponsor. He had inflow very well from January till July of 9m with balance of 500,000 and another account with inflow of 7m with balance of say 100,000. It was the low balance that made me choose the earlier co-sponsor. And this uncle with low balance but very good inflow promised 1.5m each year. How do you see this Arcayo in the light of earlier discussions N600k is too small and also you don't expect the VO to believe your sponsor will give you everything cos it can't take care of your flight and expenses of the first 2months, I don't know when you will have access to your funding actually I don't know how funding works. It is very possible to get your TRV with the sponsor and the co sponsor but just try to cover any loopholes maybe someone with good balance (millions) |

But, Arcayo, does this really count against someone with school funding that covers tuition and almost the amount of accommodation. Pls let me know. It shouldnt be but you can't predict these VO, they can use it against you and closed their eyes on the funding |

Thank Arcayo, it didn't receive as much as that in the four months print-out, but it received about 500, 000 about two months before that. And the owner withdraws from it very often Another thing to look at is the total credit and debit |
Travel / Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Arcayo: 4:16pm On Sep 06, 2016 |
Ajayi4: Hello Nairaland family, I need answer to this question. If a sponsor has, say, two millions in his two separate accounts and someone transfered about I MILLION one of the account say 5 days before I it was printed, and another 400, 000 in the other account a day before I it was printed for application. Will VO view this as money lodgement? Remeber transactions had been going in the last four months o, but not frequent deposits o. It depends on how the cash was before, eg. an account that have not received such amount of time past 6months suddenly get 1.4m within 2days might be termed as lodgement but an account that has daily, weekly and monthly inflow in thousands/million even if 5m enter at a go you shouldn't have problem 1 Like |
