Yes, it can happen but it can be prevented. Only use OEM ball joints.

If you have to replace your axles, ensure the rubber of the ball joint does not tear from the mechanic hitting the lower control arm. If it does, replace the rubber.

Also ensure that the bolt holding the ball joint is firmly tightened.

When you drive in traffic and you notice a loud grinding noise when the wheels are turned in either direction especially after the vehicle has been driven for a while, it's time to have the ball joint replaced.

The earliest failure on OEM ball joints I've read happened at around 40,000 miles. Some last as long as 120,miles or more. What this means is, once you have the OEM ball joints installed, you should have rest of mind for 4-12 years if you do an average of 10k miles/year.

Everything you heard is wrong. The car has cruise control, leather may not be premium but not bad, transmission of the 08 type S is from the Acura RL and is very solid.

There are reliable Benz models and the one I shared is one. Most users even here in Nigeria only have good things to say about that model.

Was disappointed in Acura ...heard car has no cruise control. Also learnt the leather ain’t great and I think I saw something on transmission

We have always feared Benz due to their unreliability
I saw a review of Infiniti g35 by one of our elders here... wasn’t too pleased with what I saw

-How common are these problems?
-if it’s going to be an headache, what other reliable v6 cars less than 3m can one consider bet 2008 to 2010
- do RAV 4s , 2008 especially ,also have transmission and oil burn issues commonly as portrayed Online
- your education will be much appreciated

For a car that size and engine of that size, that engine performs well and the powerband is good in that car. I actually prefer its power delivery to Camry i4.

Why is it that I see them advicing people not to get a V6
I drive a corolla and am thinking of changing it soon
Am tired of the uninspiring performances of the i4 ; despite the fuel economy

Am thinking of maybe a 2010 camry....a SE V6 or
A lexus < 2.6M
*(I prefer a v6 2009 rav 4 which is unaffordable for me at the moment)

Should I just stick with the corolla till i can get the rav 4?
Or please enlighten me on my preceding choices

this is even fair enough. several years ago, i went to see my dad at his patrol station. They had seized a full truck of frozen turkey/chicken for over 3days and it was beginning to smell and pollute the checkpoint environment.
While they awaited order from HQ to burn the frozen food, the owners were also doing sone bribing at HQ to get back their goods.
Eventually, they got an order from above that the goods should be released. This made me curious cos it was smelling already and can't be consumed.
Behold, right in my presence there these people offloaded the truck, brought some sort of chemicals and other liquid stuff and began washing it. After the exercise, they repackage it into new cartons and loaded the truck.
Jeez! And someone will consume these poison. From that moment i swore never to take frozen anything. If if it's not life then not worth eating

The first was the one I bought that had an unusual smell
The 2nd was recently when I saw some greenish stain in the marrow (can't say if it was pseudomonas)
I think I ll rest my case on eating those stuff for now
