Check the both the engine and brake oil cover caps, it should be 5W30 and DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid.

Eventually got the ws ATF for 14,500 per 4lts and the gear filter for 6k. That saved me 15k. Mechanic confirmed that they are original, then I told him the prices. He swore he wasnt trying to milk me... dont know if he was telling the truth

I'm quite sure he's been milking me for a long time cos I ran some of previous parts puchaes with a dealer and he quoted lower figures. Would have changed him now but I reckon most mechanics are such frauds. Guess it's symptomatic of the sick environment we find ourselves.
