Just putting this out there: don’t go against court order/ judgment. It never ends well. To the question-if he refuses to pay. In ON, the Family Responsibility Office is in charge of enforcing child support payment. When you default, they can take it from your bank account, report to credit bureau, place a lien on your property and if all fails, they are allowed to seize and sell personal properties. Then there are also fines and potential jail time associated with it. Running away to naija doesn’t make the payment go away either because your Canadian passport WILL be suspended and you might not be allowed into the country till you have a payment plan in place.

Unrelated, but while on this matter- the responsibility of paying child support in ON is not determined by gender. Its usually determined by child custody. And if it’s equal custody, the person with the higher income pays.

My Landing Story

Fast track to July 13th, I left my family apartment at Ikeja around 10:00am for my flight of 1:40pm. I had checked in a day before, so all I needed to do was weigh my bags and check them in again. As I earlier mentioned, my measuring scale was very reliable and I barely had any back and forth at the airport. I went ahead to bubble wrap my 2 bags at N1k each, as I did not lock the bags and didn’t want them torn either. When I was done, I went ahead to snap pictures with family before bidding my farewell. I did all necessary documentation and in no time boarded the plane.

But all glory to God for speed and making all fall in place. My apologies for the very long story. I wish everyone still in the process divine speed and safe trip into Canada.

1, if your foundational education [I mean your first degree] is from Nigeria then you have to evaluate your Waec since WES is your ECA option.

2, though I've not done this, what I understand is after your report is been delivered to Canadian adress, the person would scan it and send it to you.

3, your answer is yes.

1, Not entirely correct. As long as you are evaluating ONLY your foreign Masters (irrespective of where your foundation degree is done) you DO NOT need to evaluate WAEC. For the purpose of express entry, most people evaluate ONLY their highest degree.

2, As long as you are using wes for ECA, u dont need a canadian address to speed up things. Wes generates a soft copy after the evaluation is through. Thats all u need.

you will get a response. It might be generic, but they will tell you your visa office if you ask. As for the silence, that is normal.

purchase an international call bundle before u make d call. Took abt 30 mins to get thru to an agent.

Was it with BC and how did you apply for EOR

it was BC. Filled an EOR form at their office the day I went to pick up the result. I then got a bank draft (15k) in BC's name at a bank around there and submitted the bank draft, my result and the EOR form.

My result was exactly this before EOR. Writing changed to 7 post-Eor

Mehn, eligibility get levels abeg

1. There's the R10 completeness and initial eligibility check (45-70 days post-AOR).
2. Second-level eligibility check by CPC officer (100-150 days post-AOR).
3. Background and final eligibility check by LVO - Local Visa Office (140-240 days post-AOR. Final decision made).

So really, your application goes through eligibility like crazy. These people don't play.

I just screenshot this now. When you click the ‘?’ on review of eligibility, the message as seen the second picture pops out.

On my express entry account, presently, these are the steps before the final decision. It shows your eligibility and the documents you used to claim you are qualified for the EE are reviewed before you get biometrics. I think what delays people are the background checks (criminality and security). I think I’ll wait for let’s say 2 months(the time by which people usually have gotten biometrics request), and if I haven’t gotten biometrics request before then, then I’ll panic.

Not really sir. Biometrics is mostly triggered after R10 (completeness check- where they check if you have uploaded all the documents you were asked to upload). Eligibility is usually done later on in the process. That's where they check if the documents you submitted justifies what you have used to claim your CRS point.

Please, when British Council completes your EOR. Does one know it is positive from the mail. Doesn't it state send your account number for refund. How does one know they will get a refund?

Most times you will not know till you pick up your result. The mail I was sent had no indication mine increased (it increased). But there are occasions where they indicate it in the mail.

Hello guys, please I have a friend who has submitted her PR application since December 26th, 2018. She received AOR immediately but till date, 14th January 2019 she still hasn't been sent biometrics requirements. Please is this normal or is she supposed to contact CIC?

it now takes about 40 days from AOR to MEP. Dec 3 AOR guys are just getting theirs today.

1. request for a new one from the bank stating why u need it changed. OR
2. since its GTB, u can print another one online (ibanking) nd take it to bank to stamp it (or print the stamped version), OR
3. avoid using a bank statement altogether (as advised previously) if u can nd get a letter from bank in its place.

I believe it should be considered as 2 or more degrees. Masters is a separate category, nd fetches more points than 2 or more degrees.

I am not entirely sure but you could contact them to ask. I did mine the day I picked up my result. I know there are specific weekdays for picking up results, I don't know if the same applies to EOR application.

P.S you need to pick up your official result from their office (if you haven't) before an EOR (you can do it the same day like I did).

An excerpt from a mail from BC to me; "Our result collection days for our Lagos office are Monday & Tuesday ( 08:00-03:30hrs)and Fridays ( 08:00-12:00hrs) of any week with exceptions of public holidays while our Port Harcourt office result collection day is only on Wednesdays".

bank draft in BC's name. Pls apply for the eor. My result was similar to yours before eor (9,9,7.5,6.5), writing changed to 7 post EOR. I have a feeling urs would change also. Last last, we will all be alright.

I believe it should log you out. Then you would have to do the electronic signature and verification part over again. It is not a big deal. Try GT card. It kept declining all my cards too till I used GT.
