Hi everybody,

Hope u r having a great day?
Still on the matter of responding to frequently asked questions (FAQs), I will be responding to a question that sort of encapsulates everything about investments using REALTY EDGE COOPERATIVE as a vehicle…

We tend to talk about the very big investment plans we have as a Cooperative and a number of people end up asking the following question…
“How can the Cooperative possibly achieve all that with the little monthly equity that members contribute?”

I will take time to respond to that question to give u an idea of just how easy it will be to accomplish such great feats…
First off, it is not every member that comes in at the Bronze Level, we also have members that will come in at Silver, Gold and Platinum levels…
It is also important to note that sometimes it is more about the “numbers”… By that I mean the number of members that make up the Cooperative.

For instance, it will take one person 10 times the effort it will take 10 people to raise the same amount of money. So u see how easy it can be to play the big league if u belong to a Cooperative such as ours…
That’s why it is imperative u share this post and others like this, so that more people will get to know what we are doing and come on board.

I believe it is common knowledge that a lot of great and profitable businesses exist however a lot of times, people are unable to take advantage of those opportunities because they are mostly capital intensive…

For instance, there are plots of Land that sells for between 30 – 40 Million Naira in Lagos that when u buy, u can develop (build) with about 90 Million Naira then sell for at least 250 Million Naira… And all of that can happen in less than 5 Months…

That translates to a Profit of about 100% in just a few months: that is massive. Guess what, that opportunity is available in Lagos right now but we can’t take advantage of it because our Cooperative has barely been operating for about a month;
Imagine how different it wud be in one year when our membership wud have grown exponentially; we wud not just see these opportunities and go “how I wish we had the funds”, but we will actually have the capacity to act and take advantage of such opportunities…

Do u know that in Nigeria today, there are Cooperatives that own and run Microfinance Banks, major Supermarkets, Petrol Stations, Residential Estates, etc… Guess what? We are going to be as big, if not bigger than those Cooperatives because we are focused, motivated and driven…

Even though we have said one of our priority is to provide decent Housing for our members, we will be embarking on major investment deals as well and guess who will benefit from those investments? Every single committed member…

Today we are going to be responding to another frequently asked question but before then, I will like to talk a bit about “Mondays”…

Research shows that more people die of a Heart attack on Monday Morning because of the pressure of resuming at a Job they absolutely detest… Much as they hate their Jobs, they are condemned to do it otherwise they will have no way of paying their bills…
Imagine how much worse it will be if u also have to add the pressure of “RENT” payment… This is exactly why u have to make hay while the Sun shines; solve your accommodation issues (before it becomes too late) with REALTY EDGE COOPERATIVE.

A few people have asked if what Realty Edge Cooperative Society is offering is the same as a “RENT – TO – OWN” Scheme?
The answer is a categorical “YES” and better…

A typical Rent – to – own scheme requires the buyer to make an initial deposit / payment of a certain percentage which in most cases is above 25% of the cost of the apartment… This singular requirement automatically takes it out of the reach of the Low income earner…

In Realty Edge Cooperative, we cater to both the Low Income and High Income Earners…
Once u become a member of REC, all u are required to do is to consistently pay ur monthly equity and after a year or two, your apartment is allocated to you. Afterwards, u are required to pay your mortgage loan over a period of up to 25 years…

Thank God it’s Friday!!!
Today, in continuation of our previous posts, I would like to answer another frequently asked question; one of the funnier ones I might add…

A lot of times, when we explain the vision and mission of our cooperative to prospective members, they become very interested and immediately want to know how soon they can get their apartment allocation?
They usually ask: WILL I BE AMONG THE FIRST SET OF MEMBERS TO GET THE APARTMENT ALLOCATION?

Now, this is the deal; there are strict rules that guide the running and operations of a Cooperative and we follow those rules to the letter… This is to the end that sanity is maintained.
So to answer the above question, there are parameters that determine when each and every member qualifies for apartment allocation and these parameters are:
1. DATE OF JOINING THE COOPERATIVE
2. CONSISTENCY IN PAYMENT OF EQUITY CONTRIBUTION

Every member that joins our Cooperative gets a Membership Registration Number which ultimately determines the chronology of Membership i.e the date and time of joining… This information is so very important because in a cooperative society, the benefits are strictly on first come first serve basis…
Hence, you cannot benefit from the Cooperative ahead of someone that joined before you therefore the earlier you join the better for you…

Secondly, the consistency in equity payment is also very important because you do not expect an inconsistent equity contributor to benefit ahead of a member that is consistent in his contributions…
A member that is not consistent with his equity contribution ultimately thwarts the plans of the Cooperative that is why members are strongly advised to be consistent with their contributions.

At the end of the day, there are no grey areas because every member will know if they qualify for allocation even without being told.
