ProudDick: The army in the east was not Biafran army. They comprised of different tribes. How would they be loyal to ojukwu? Was the comptroller general of prisons not recognized Gowon as well? You mean every Nigerian institutions in the east disobeyed Gowon because of ojukwu? Why were igbos spending Nigerian currency and taking salaries from Nigeria?
Gowon need not be in calabar. He only needed to order a proclamation for his release which was adhered to. Had nothing to do with ojukwu. very funny and you dont know they could be executed by that action? |
Politics › Re: Youtube Video That Showed Gowon Released Chief. Awolowo From Prison In 1966 by Arda1000(m): 8:39am On Nov 22, 2019 |
Waterview: I'll respond to this in a civil way, Yoruba is not a Sovereign state (i.e not a country ).
Ukraine as a case study has many tribes which include the Slavs, antes, bukk e.t.c
The examples you gave doesn't follow bro ..... Ukraine, Belgium Greece are sovereign state (which includes several tirbes/group)
Yoruba is a tribe/group in Nigeria ( a Sovereign state)
well, am not ready to discuss this further sha get sense na Yoruba is an Ethnic group then inside the Ethnic group, you get their tribes. |

kettykin: from my own understanding , who ever ordered the release of the other 1966 coupist like Ifeajuna, Nzeogwu ,Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna,Major Tim Onwuategwu,Captain Oji ordered the release of Awolowo ., they were all held up in prisons in the East for treasonable felony and were released same period by the same person. and that was Ojukwu cus he had that power. |

Politics › Re: Why Did The British Favour The Fulani So Much by Arda1000(m): 7:33am On Nov 20, 2019 |
horsepower101: The British met the Fulanis in the middle of conquest.
They were both doing the same thing when they met each other.
Being that none of them are originally Nigerians or ndigenous to Nigeria, it was easy for them to relate.
The Fulanis submitted to the British on the condition that they won’t interrupt their conquest in the North and also will not build missionary schools in the North to spread Christianity and western education. what do u mean by originally Nigerians or indigenous Nigerians. no dey use english confuse ursef, the collaborated with the fulanis cus they are more willing to bend the knee. while the Easterners were more smart and knew the greed of the Brits, and were not ready to give in cheap. Nigeria is a white man identity not God giving, its not even who we are. |

Politics › Re: Major Isaac Jasper, Ijaw Freedom Fighter 1938-1966 by Arda1000(m): 11:42am On Nov 18, 2019 |
brightokechukwu: "Major" Isaac Adaka Boro took up arms to fight the Biafrans defending Port Harcourt and his riverine areas, Isaac Boro led the 15th brigade of the Third Marine Commandos, a unit composed exclusively of men and officers from his earlier insurrection of 1966 which was crushed in 12 days under Man Gen Ironsi's government. This men were placed reabsorbed into the Nigerian army, re-trained and deployed in areas like Afam, Bonny Island, Eleme, Okrika(where Boro was killed) and other areas. The Nigerian soldiers in their advance towards PH came under a baptism of hell in form of bullets, mortars, shells etc under Biafran soldiers gallantly defending their grounds... Isaac Boro and his band of Ijaw warriors stepped in to save the Nigerian soldiers from embarrassing defeats suffered on all fronts... and they did a fantastic job of pushing the Biafrans rapidly back towards Port Harcourt, using swift movements through the badly exposed and defended Biafran flanks and rears using secret routes and marshlands (of course they knew the terrains very well, Rivers was their ancestral home and they thought they were fighting to restore the pride and freedom of their people that were under Biafran occupation). The 15 infantry brigade of the 3 marine commando division taught the inept Nigerian army the art of warfare by succeeding where their Nigerian counterparts failed ... the Ijaw soldiers were welcomed as true heroes, they were hailed as the liberators in each town, village, hamlet that they captured from the fleeing Biafran soldiers...
While the fame and legend of Boro and his Ijaw warriors were spreading all over Port Harcourt and its environs, Adekunle's fortunes began to dwindle, been the type that wanted all glory to himself, it was simply inconceivable that some Ijaw small boy, some bloody civilian in military uniform and his rag-tag bunch would dare steal the spotlight from him, been the narcissist that he was... that would never happen that it would be written in history that Isaac Boro was the true hero of Port Harcourt sector.
So Boro had to be eliminated, he had to die... but it had to be deceptively done to erase any dint of suspicion or conspiracy on the part of his command structure to eliminate the young Ijaw warrior. Isaac had to be killed in the heat of battle to make it seem like he died fighting against the "rebels", but he was to be felled by friendly fire... and not from bullets from the "rebels".
Isaac Boro's last battle was marred with devious irony, a melancholic twist of fate in an otherwise glorious journey... he died in Okrika(the last major town held by Biafran soldiers) and just few miles from coveted prize... the golden gate of Port harcout itself. Colonel Adekunle eliminated Isaac Boro in the heat and confusion of battle, a fierce battle that raged for 9 bloody hours. The bullets that killed Isaac came from his rear: the guns of his own comrades-in-arms... how u guys twist stories really baffles me. Adaka Boro defending PH and Dying from a friendl fire? |

KingErnesto: We've been friends for 2months now and we've only hung out thrice, at my place only , tho we belong to a mutual association and we often see.
She agrees to come over without hesistation. when ever i say i want to see her, maybe in 4days time, she would rather make plans to come over the following day ... And she keeps me company for hours without complaining. We gist, eat , laugh and have fun together ... I never made a move to touch her nor cuddle her for once, i gave her that respect and now i want to define our friendship/relationship...We've hugged a few times and she held me the night i took her out on a eat out and walk .
A certain time, she asked me a question and asked for my take , she painted a scenario where a girl who is older than the guy decides to like him to want to date him for the mean time, and these two belong to a mutual association... I didn't want to raise or deduce a false impression, but i sensed she was passing a message. I could be wrong. But she's older than i am a little.
On call yesterday, she told me she doesnt keep close friends and she doesnt like much friends, she likes her privacy and all. But she said its not the same with me, and then i moved on to ask her what was i to her , immediately she paused and then stammered for seconds, like she was searching for the right words to refer me, and then she eventually said, "you're dear to me".
Should i ask her out already? Or have i been friendzoned? my brother.... To much delay bad, what else you need she Don give you the green light unless you won wait till it turns red. |

Weedfree: Who do u think u are coming for me big mistake kid. For the record i speak both igbo and ukwani that doesn't make me igbo i just learnt them. First of their origin is different from igbos, they didn't participate during the Biafra war they never considered them self one of u and they never where even part of the east they where considered a mid western state and their manner of dressing is a bit different and their cuisine to are different. I find your "ideology" barbaric as you are so quick to forget that before there was Nigeria or region, there was TRIBE. Stop thinking so mediocre and believing there is a sense of commonality between Igbo and Ukwani. You think just like the cultural naive white men. I understand why you are inseure about being igbo because you guys have no oil money but are good at land grabbing and punishing innocent widows and lacking good family support from family members. Ukwani respect women especially widow which yours doesn't. Your tribe promote misogyny, toxic musicality, pretentious communism, war ( biafran war), cultural illiteracy, greed and unpatriotic nature towards Nigeria as a whole. sense is very far away from you |
