the first engine pic i put up is a V4, count the number of plugs ![]() |
adamawa:are nigerians running away from V6?, i don't think so my good man, that is only true with the babyboy V6, and we all know the reason why the gearbox is so crappy, but give me a toks babyboy V6 and i'll use it for 5 years with no problem at all, it all falls down to driving style and regular maint, don't stress your gearbox, all in the name of showing off your cars ability to accelerate, back to V6 toyota and V6 honda, which is better?? hmmm, hard to choose, new honda and toyota now come with i-vtec, vti vtec, and vvti Vtec - valve timing electronically controlled, or more accurately "Variable valve timing and electronic lift control" Vvti - Variable valve timing inteligence, or more accurately "Variable valve timing with Inteligence" i-vtec - Intelligent v-tec, that behind us, let me give u a rule of thumb, vtec - power vvti - fuel economy in terms of power, the vtec craps all over the vvti, however these days, people are more drawn to fuel economy, your last question is pretty ambiguous. faulty V6 = total engine change ![]() so if i have a bad piston/rings i have to change my entire engine?? or if i have a problem with my injector, i change entire engine ![]() mbaa nu, it is not like that *with a strong igbo accent* hehehe, anyway, what year is the avalon? anything after 2004 should be great, condem him for what, the bastards are just hating, becuase its not a popular car, listen my good man, which ever car you get it all comes down to 20% initial luck on getting a car in good condition 10% in driving style 5% road condition 65% regular maintenance, so care for your car guys, and your car will serve you until u want no more of it, |
@ Igwe, na wa for u sef! @ poster, we have 4 cylinders, 6 cylinders (V6), 8 cylinders (V8) et al. We, however, don't call the 4 cylinders V4. The 4 cylinders are easier to maintain, more fuel efficient but the V6s are more powerful!
not quite true my friend, the V has nothing to do with the number of cylinders but the cylinder orientation. like i explained earlier. they could be set in a V shape or an INline or boxer, the number coming after the V tells you how many cylinders it has, it is that simple, https://www.apriliausa.com/upload/njb/big_00368.jpg can u see the "V" shape? https://www.familycar.com/classroom/Images/Engine_blocks.gif i hope this helps you out, notice the straight line the engine takes, example of Inline4 https://forums.cycleworld.com/attachments/cycleworld/bikes_european/899/1/continental-6.jpg typical boxer 8, or Flat 8 there is however, another type of engine, but it doenst use the piston and cylinder arrangement. its know as the rotary engine, made famous by the mazda RX8 https://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2004/2004-Mazda-RX-8-Engine.jpg engine of a 2004 mazda RX8, observe clearly, u'll notice it has no piston and cylinder arrangement |
duno why i love this car so much, whats your asking price man?, u cant tell us to offer, i can offer shitty offers for all i know |
well. for my guy above, there are a number of ways for cylinder arrangements in an engine, - inline arrangement, ( as the name suggests the cylinders are arranged in a straight line, which is very common with most engines from way back when, ) - V arrangement ( cylinders in V arrangement, try to picture each cylinder at an angle rather than being vertical - boxer arrangement (cylinders are actually horizontal, although very rare, was made famous by the ferrari dino if i'm right) now thats out of the way, three main points to compare them will be performance, economy and longetivity, the V6 engine craps all over the I4 when it comes to performance, and thats about it, I4 will give you very good fuel economy and it generally out lives a V6 there is nothing wrong with V6 engines only the added fuel consumption of two extra cylinders ![]() having said that, there are a couple of myths running around about V6 engines and gear box of babyboy, the truth is the original design of that gear box is for the I4 engine, so you have this V6 engine hammering down on the poor little gear box, after a few years of use and poor driving skills (aka "reving" like crazy) the damn thing packs up, |
two quick observertions, and i know if i looked hard i'll notice more, 1) there's no way on earth this car is a 4.3L V8 and only doing 240km/h max speed, (i'm a mechanical engineer who knows alot about engines, i should know this), hmmmm 2) rear spoiler?? anything wrong with my eyes?, because i can't see any spoilers, except u mean roof spoiler O_O i'm not hating. just taught it would be nice if we know exactly what to expect incase of interest for inspection when the time comes, |
true, but u need facts to base your claim on, not everyone will agree with you, Comprende? |
5 days only with all these symptoms?? , that baby will be Godzilla Jr ![]() i used to think i took about nine months gestation, if kids could start forming in five days then whats the remaining fucking 9months for ? ![]() |
i think your frustration is getting to your spelling aswell man ![]() oh and your gramma too ![]() |
there's so much wrong with our mindset and culture here in naija that needs a second look, rule of thumb here is, black marry white = "done for money or foreign passport" and anyone doing it is guilty as charged, sad as it is, it's true in some cases. but the average nigerian will never notice the difference, you just have to manage here and see how things turn out, as per good IT company here, why not start up one yourself and u'll be doing good before too long. place to stay = abuja or calabar, everywhere else is shit, ![]() nuff said ![]() oh and one more thing, do like i'm planning to do, neither of you stay in your home country, migrate somewhere else, not naija, not UK, that way both of you make the sacrifice, ![]() comprende?? |
the audi makes more sense, "pimping all over the world" |
some of you guys are missing the point, the post is not about who is better in bed, its just about who shows the most affection when in a relationship, or atleast i wish to believe so, from experience, its the asian girls that show the most affection, i'm sorry my black sisters, but its just true, i believe its just a culture thing, so its not a thing of color or race but rather one of CULTURE, i hope most of you notice this. i've tried all parties, caucasians (aussie chics for my case), asians (east and west), and black(African), i'm not just talking of experiece with one of each, but lots of "test subject" if i may, and i can say without the slightest doubt in my mind, asian girls (chinese, japs, korean, etc) show the most affection. once they are in love, they really are, Cheers! |
this just sounds like something straight out of a " romantic Indecency " ummm, is there anything like that? |
dns:lol, i can't doubt that, ur spelling too is suffering from your frustration, ![]() there're chics out there man, don't get all gugu over one, anyway, arent u somehow related to your step moms sister daughter?? ![]() |
where do you live?? lol read your book boy, and get fcking rich, u wont even need to "spin" them, they'll be all over you, |
my good mate is december 25th, beat that suckers!!!!!! ![]() |
nalijah07:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-135266.0.html#msg2275181 ![]() |
what can we do ![]() they dont have a choice if you ask me, when our leaders are eating up every single kobo we have and doing nothing, everyone wants to get rich. and thats the only way they see fit to do it, they're just playing on the intelligence of them white folks, need i say more? |
