About 2 weeks ago, I was reminiscing about my growing up days. This woman songs keep playing in my head.
I was like where could this singer be? She was one of my favourite artists those years.
I was happy today when I stumbled on this thread. Despite the fact that some saboteurs has highjack this platform for their selfish political and tribal reasons, I still love nairaland for exceptional threads like this.

I need serious advice. I grew up an only child, raised by a single mum. My dad abandoned us as when I was a kid and few years later he died in an accident. My mum is the most important person in my life and I love and respect her. She is also a very religious woman and raised me so.

I am settled and ready to get married and I have met the woman I am sure is the one for me. My mum has met her once and although she had her reservations she wasn't opposed to it. But yesterday while going through my fiance's whatsapp status(bacause she has her number), she came across the picture below and because of it, she is now opposed to the marriage. According to her, she can't let her only child get married to a girl that wears bum shorts in public. She says "this sort of dressing is from the devil"

I have tried to explain to her that my girl isn't like that and she only wears clothes like that once in a while. My mum is still adamant. She wants me to end our relationship and find a "responsible woman"

I am currently torn between my mum and the woman I have decided to spend the rest of my life with. I am afraid that if I disobey my mother's instructions, it would lead to serious circumstances as she is also my spiritual mother.

I'm the only son of my parents, I was the only child for 17 years, my mum just like yours is a control freak. But I didn't give room for that, she never liked any girl I dated, but she always pushed her preferred girls to me. I didn't look their ways. I noticed that my mum like a particular lady, I'll distance myself from her.
Finally when I married about 15 years ago, my mom pretended like she like my choice, I knew her and told my wife to be careful relating things within our marriage to her for her benefits. Let me not deceive you, I'm enjoying my marriage and she always find fault with her. But as God will do it, we are always blessed and favoured by God, we are thousands of miles away from her wahala now.
Make your choice, own up to your mistake if it didn't work out. Our parents are not God, they should stop playing God. God have purpose for each and individual.

The Umidigi A7 Pro with a Helio P22 Processor should be taken out of the equation and a plastic build as Cons and a FHD screen as Pros.


The Nokia has a lower HD screen and a slower and a plastic build as Cons and a Snapdragon 665 as a pro.

The Note 8 has a FHD screen and a Snapdragon 665 same as the Nokia 5.3 but also with a more premium glass built.
Comparing the 3 devices I would suggest the Redmi Note8..
Moreover the Redmi Note 8 and the Nokia 5.3

I have taken time to read reviews on these 3 phones. I can afford buy any of the three. I need advice on which is the best and why. Just confused

I had 3 friends during my 100 level days F3 Unilorin. The four of us are weird in different ways.

Kaycee will not drink water during the meal but after, even if we are eating stone. ( he can finish a bucket of water after food)
Bayo can sleep anytime without any of us knowing. His eye will be wide open but he's already snoring. We would be talking together and Bayo with his eye opened would be in deep sleep. There were times we left him leaning against the wall with amala in his hand, we would have packed plates and slept.
Me, very sensitive to movements around me, someone shadow can wake me in the deepest of my sleep.
