Only irresponsible leaders and governments puts their faith, progress, development, hopes and future in a worthless, bankrupt, incompetent and irresponsible FG that so far have stolen and embezzled billions off the same ID system for over 30 years and at the surrendered their failed effort and sold Nigerians off to foreign entity called MasterCard. 3. So, where is the sense and wisdom in Lagos state relying on a worthless and incompetent FG that couldn't do in 30 years after stealing billions common ID system with bio metrics and fingerprint that that the Lagos state government wrapped up in less than 2 years without selling the people of Lagos state to MasterCard..? |

Politics › Re: Jimi Agbaje VS Akinwunmi Ambode....who wins? by aresa: 12:53am On Dec 10, 2014 |
Marvin67: I disagree 100%. If you haven't been to akwa ibom, then don't compare Fashola with Akpabio and say Fashola performed 100% more than Akpabio. Let those who know akwa ibom and lagos be the judge here. Lagos is Lagos. Lagos has what no other state in Nigeria has. But the Akpabio's achivement, can stand alongside Fashola's achievement. As I said earlier, let people who know Akwa Ibom as much as I know it be the judge.
I refuse to be decieved by any party be it APC or PDP. Performance I insist is an individual thing, not a party thing. No party stops it's governors from performing.
Those governors you listed are massive failures. But I'd never blame their party . Instead I blame them and their supporters. PDP never stopped them from performing. They didn't perform because they didn't want to. Ironically, if any of those non performing governors decides to jump into APC today, APC would gladly receive them and even make them their flag bearers.
I've said my 2k. I don't vote for parties or look at parties. I'm not a politician and I won't be decieved by any politician. PDP and APC na the same thing filled with the same thieves, criminals and saints.
NOTE; Anambra is for APGA not PDP I've been to Akwa Ibom so there's nothing you can tell me about Akwa Ibom. 1. I can list 100 completed Fashola projects 2. Can you list just 10 completed Akpabio's project. You can not list 10 completed Akpabio's project so what are you making noise about? Akpabio did not complete 1 hospital, he did not build 1 single classroom, he did not build 1 skill center.... I still need you to show us the projects completed in Enugu, Anambra, Eboyin and Abia. |
Politics › Re: Jimi Agbaje VS Akinwunmi Ambode....who wins? by aresa: 11:50pm On Dec 09, 2014 |
Marvin67: My friend, these two parties are the same. The APC is just louder because it is the opposition. Both parties have criminals, thugs, and saints (that's if they even have any). If you mention Fashola from APC, someone can Mention Akpabio from PDP. Nd guess what? Apkabio didn't make the people pay taxes through their nose or have as much IGR as Lagos or borrow as much as Lagos did for him to perform. Okorocha makes so much noise on TV, but if you've ever being to imo state, you'd be shocked at the number of uncompleted projects you'd see. Performance is an individual thing not a party thing. I remember the case of Donald Duke in cross river state. Somebody cannot be a thief in PDP, then cross over to APC and automatically become a saint. I laughed when I heard the case of the former PDP chairman (who should be retiring from politics now) decamping to the APC and picking the party's senatorial ticket some hours later, or has he suddenly become born again after losing the PDP primaries? The change APC promises is just a change in Party name, not a change in individuals. If Buhari (a former head of state becomes president, will you call that a change or a recycle? What would you say about Atiku also?
My guy, PDP, APC, they are the same set of people, the same criminals, who just went to hide under three initials called party name. 1. This is not about the same parties, it's more about PDP as worthless and bankrupt party full of incompetent people collecting taxes and allocation with zero to show for it. 2. You are free to mention Akpabio's name with Fashola, but that's all you can do because I can prove to you with facts that Fashola delivered more than Akpabio 100 times so of what relevance is you mentioning akpabio. 3. Taxes or no Taxes, IGR or no IGR, it all boils down to yearly budgets which is what they all have to operate, fund and build with and it's on record and I can prove with facts that Akpabio posts the largest budgets in Nigeria and on top of that, all he did for 8 years and his largest budget remains 1 football field, 1 flyover, 1 library, a few roads and 1 cinema. Prove me wrong if you can. I don't do idle and meaningless talk, I do facts and I can prove to you with facts that PDP governors are worthless incompetents and PAC governors are not. I asked you to show us what the governors in Eboyin, Anambra, Enugu and Abia did with their taxes and allocations. I need you to answer that question... |

brownlord2: remove the log in your eye, before attempting to remove the spec in someone's eye
Apc has 5 presidential candidate, 3 is ex PDP member, tambuwal would have made it 4 if not the impeachment saga that made him settle for governor so as to get apc backing in retaining his sit.
Top hierarchy members of apc are disgruntled pdp members, yet apc told us pdp is corrupt but having ex pdp members as their leaders.
Apc will probably be the first opposition in the world, to have ex 3 members of a different party ( corrupt party ) contest under her. This is record breaking.
IMO. I still remain neutral, just saying it as it is Political parties and their policies and culture influences what their public officials are able to do and deliver on behalf of their electorates and fact that the former PDP members now APC governors are performing admirably says a lot about the political parties they belong to and their ideologies. I can prove to you with facts that the former PDP governors now APC governors are doing many times better than the PDP governors they replaced.. We know the difference between Amosun OGD and Ajomobi and Akala PDP as a party from the president to party leadership all the down have no problem corruption and gross incompetence, you can't show me 1 single classroom built by the governors of Anambra, Enugu Abia, Eboyin... but I can show you new schools built by APC okorocha from the same region. PDP as a party is a bankrupt and grossly incompetent political party and Agbaje in Lagos swims in the same bankrupt political party with nothing to offer Lagosians. Progress and development is not their style. Even performing Amaechi left the PDP because they have no room for performers.. |

This is the most important thing because it determines what you do, where to spend and what to spend on. ID system makes it easy to determine how many people to budget and plan for, how many schools to build, how many hospitals you need, how many clinics and health centers, what infrastructures you need, where to site the infrastructures and how often you maintain the infrastructures, determine the number of teachers you need. Not having accurate data and demographics for proper planing shortchanges you, you either waste money in one area or shortchange and deny other areas because you don't have data, it's like walking blind folded in the dark. lioncoolst: Ladies and gentlemen!
I often visit Nairaland to read posts and comments without commenting myself because I like to learn from intelligent and sound minds. However, the saying goes that all it takes for evil to thrive is for few good men to say nothing; I am one of the few good ones, and I have chosen to react to some of the comments here on this thread.
I am a believer in the notion that as youths of Nigeria, we are no longer the leaders of tomorrow as we have been deceived to believe over time by people who have no interest in the future of Nigeria or its youths. Rather, we are the leaders of today! Now, how can one claim to be a leader when he does not possess a shred of wisdom or what is popularly known as "common sense"? Even though for all intent and purpose, that sense is not common as I have observed over the years. Here is a nice write up and an opportunity to learn from a man of experience, an elder statesman, a 2-time President of the FRN, a former BOT Chairman, a Party leader, a sage, a man known for his wisdom, cunny, sense, a master strategist, among other things. I am of the opinion that such a man should be understudied to know what he knows, and what makes past, present and future presidents of Nigeria to go to him - cap in hand - asking for his advise and seeking his blessings.
So, coming to this thread, I was looking forward to reading inspiring, motivating and sensible comments from some folks who appear to be in their prime. However, I was disappointed to be confronted with silly and witless comments like "..see pot calling kettle black", "do not mind that man, he is more corrupt than..." and so on and so forth.
Now, my question is "is this the issue at stake?" Is this the topic of discussion?" The answer is crystal - "No". So, why leave the substance and start chasing the shadows!!
Now, I know that it is not everybody that has the ability to reason before opening their mouths. Rather, some folks open their mouths first and do not even reason afterwards thereby showing that such folks have no substance in them, and this is quite unfortunate. Ignorance is bliss with these persons.
To whoever has ears to hear, kindly be informed that by reading books that were or are written by great and prominent people, you are given a window of opportunity to see what they have seen in their lives, a glimpse into their minds and probably what made them great and invincible, and also how their minds operated and still operates. In this instance, what he saw and experienced while he was in government as the number 1 citizen of this country, even though I still think the man is still in government.
There is an adage that says "what an elder sees while sitting, a child cannot see even if he climbs the tallest palm tree!" There is wisdom in this adage, I believe, and the adage is applicable in this instance. We, as youths of this country, need to sit down and learn wisdom, knowledge and understanding from elder who have experience, knowledge and cunny, for the betterment of self and the country. And you will agree with me that the man called OBJ is such a man to learn from, even though you do not like him. And no matter how much you dislike or hate him, you cannot do anything about it. So, rather than harboring bitterness and giving yourself headache over a man who does not know that you even exist, why don't you share from his wealth of knowledge and wisdom! For example, imagine these words:
“Timely information is a very important principle of war and also of politics. In politics, just as in war, what matters is not just your plan, but knowledge of your opponent’s plan. Knowing their plan, I had the choice of playing along with them or being firm, I chose the latter."
If you have read the book "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu, you can relate to this. Anyway, as the saying goes, "a word is enough for the wise."
Thank you. This is the reason why we can not debate anything intelligently on NL. We have too many trolls and unintelligent people polluting meaningful threads all over the place with redundant and unintelligent jargon that contributes nothing to the thread or educate us in anyway. Instead of formulating sane and rational thoughts to support or counter, all we get is lame and unintelligent utterances like pot calling kettle black, you are corrupt to, GEJ till 2019, go and die and so on.. As GEJ, I definitely won't be happy with such low intellects and lightweights as my supporters and defenders.. |
