Let's assume for a second that these figures are correct, it means that the South East alone with 99.9% Igbo indigenous residents has a voting population of 7,178185, the highest single ethnic voting block in Southern Nigeria. On the other hand, the 5 South Western states excluding Lagos state have an 85% indigenous population of 7,762463. The Igbo size in lagos state is no longer debatable. All the South East Igbos living outside the SE had Always expressed similar sentiments when it comes to voting with their kins in the SE.

Mind you, this is South East and not the entire Igboland. Igbo people are the second largest population in all the 36 states outside the indigenes of the states. They have the highest population in the FCT. In presidential elections every single vote cast from the remotest corner of the country is tallied to the benefactor. What counts most is the 'actual voters' on the particular day.

My guy as I said earlier, leave the east to support who they want to support. You keep hitting on the bridge. Ok, so Lekki road belongs to Lekki concession company and not to the people of lagos. Work is still ongoing by CCECC (a chinese company) on Lagos - badagry expressway, if you get to alafia, you'd see that a toll centre has already been fixed there, so are you saying we should stop giving the lagos state government credit for the road, because the chinese guys would eventually collect toll on it. The tolling on the 2nd Niger bridge is not even a confirmed issue yet.
Let's even leave the bridge aside. Please tell me one ruler that has completed or started more projects in the east than GEJ. I've listed many of the projects started or completed by his administration earlier in this tread. If you want, I can list them out again. Go to isukwato in Abia state, you'd see a beautiful modern secondary school built by sure-p in ovim, and another school renovated by sure-p, you'd also see that the road to okigwe from akara, is under construction (there's a big gully there, which the contractors are fixing). Also, the road from ozara to ebonyi through acha is also ongoing. All these are in one isiukwato local government o. Please don't sit in lagos and say GEJ duped the east. For the first time, there is federal presence in the east

Thanks for all your comments,Funny how people think that I'm looking for cheap publicity because of what I said about the General...well in case you missed my line of thoughts all I said was we need a practical and workable manifesto instead of sentimental talks from our leaders is that too much to ask?,I am a Nigerian and I have the right to demand that,I'm not interested in how much you have or don't have but in how much and how well change and transformation can be felt in our economy...for those of you in nairaland blog that just take things out of context shame on you I am not gullible like you..the focus here is not slamming on the respected General but to ask all our leaders to strategize on convincing us because we are wiser now than before so enough of all these...all Nigerians want to see instead is practical measures to effect sustainable development in our life's and economy...i hope you all got that....God bless Nigeria.

Mumu you seem to be carrying the 2nd Niger bridge toll matter alone on your head. The issue was only mentioned once but you have since picked on it and continued to repeat it like you were one of those that signed the contract.
The same thing has been said of Lagos -Ibadan road several times but you turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to it.
The small issue of tolls isn't what is going to stop us from having the 2nd Niger bridge built. We will wait till it is completed then see if we will pay the tolls or not. We will literally cross the bridge when we get there.
Assuming, against all odds, the bridge actually gets tolled after completion (like the Lagos-Ibadan road), our people will still have the choice of using the other bridge which is toll free, private car owners will spend a lot less money on fuel as they wouldn't be experiencing traffic jam on the bridge anymore, the money paid for toll will be insignificant compared to the money and time they will save. Commercial vehicle users will spend less money on transport fares even with the tolls as the operators will have no choice but to reduce their fares when they start spending far less money on fuel and far less time on the road.
It is a win-win situation for us, although the likelihood of us paying a toll for that bridge is as low as it gets.
