CultureRe: A Little Piece Of Advice To My Yoruba Friends by argent(f): 11:23am On Feb 10, 2009
ijeoma2619:
i agree with osisi alot of yoruba people are faulty of this, i have had this experience every single time that im having a converstation with a youruba person. It even got to the point that anytime that im engaged in a conversation with a yoruba person and i see another yoruba person walking towards us i quickly try to excuse myself from my friend to avoid being rudely interrupted because thats very insulting. Im not sure if its done on purpose or they just dont have common courtesy. I am not saying igbos dont speak their language but not when a non-igbo speaker is around.
The above highlighted shows that you are a tribalist.

Must you insult the yorubas before you get your point across.

Osisi please can you change the title of this thread as it has been established that not only yoruba poeple are guilty of this.

CultureRe: A Little Piece Of Advice To My Yoruba Friends by argent(f): 10:40am On Feb 09, 2009
This not only common to yoruba people only.

@ osisi, your tribe is the one most guilty of this. I have been with a lot of igbo people and they just go on speaking their language not minding that someone is among them who doesnt understand a word. They go as far as doing this even in the office. It can be terrible.
So osisi before you remoce the speck in another's eye please remove the log in yours first. Thanks

Like a lot of people nhave said its only time that can heal your pain.

Meanwhile concentrate on other things e.g your career, couldd be that proffessional exam you've always want to write ( this is the time to start preparing for it, believe me it will help you in getting over her real quick).

Just take it easy, we all have gone will go thru this one time or the other.

Mr man, leave that bribe lecturer thing for corner, those socalled law makers could put a law to stop bribing and corruption, but how can they do it when they are involve in this act, it starts from head to toe, not toe to head, fathers should show good example not the kid, so the leaders are nigeria setback period.
Woman, who says am a Mr man  tongue

Why do we have to wait for the lawmakers to put a stop to bribe taking, are laws not meant to be broken?  tongue

My point is charity begins at home, we will continue to complain about our leaders until we all decide to do the right thing, CHANGE

PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Their Leaders by argent(f): 10:56am On Feb 06, 2009
Yes the leaders are our problems.

Who are the leaders?

The leaders are you and I that bribe lecturers to pass a course in school, who will encourage giving bribes to government officials, who will not stand up for what is right, who will squander resources entrusted in his care. etc

The point is charity begins at home and unless we decide to be the change by living right from now, we the leaders are still going to be the problem of our nation in the nearest future.

I wonder why people keep saying muslims and Christians are serving the same God. The whole essence of muslims' existence is to wipe out the Jews and the Christians. We obviously dont serve the same God.
