Had the same issue with my school certificate, I spoke to a lawyer about it and he told me to do Notary Public(newspaper publication plus affidavit), and that’s what I did. Nadheer15: When submitting documents, my birthday certificate has "Bello Mohammed" while my other current documents has "Bello Muhammad". Would this be a problem? |

Hello Please how did you manage to pay for yours and your dependents visa and IHS fees? I need to pay about 3050$, is it possible to pay in bits with different cards? My school rep told me it’s not advisable as the money can bounce or hang. I want to know if anyone has done it successfully. Thank you. |

Wish you best of luck Akchi32: I finally did my visa interview today. I'm happy it went well.
These are the questions i was asked:
What's your name and date of birth? Why have you decided to study my course? Did you considered other schools before applying to University of Strathclyde? Why did i choose University of Strathclyde? Have i been to the UK before? What's my future career plans? Where will i be staying and the kind of apartment I'll be renting? Why did i choose to study in Scotland? What have i been doing after my undergraduate? How much am i earning currently? Who will be paying for your studies? Do I've a dependent? Will they be traveling with me? Do i have family and/or friends leaving in the UK? How much am I looking at earning after my studies? The name of my undergraduate institution? My undergraduate qualification (BA or Bsc)? Why did i choose to go for my studies now? If i understood all the questions asked?
The interviewer was really nice and friendly. I'll advise those preparing for interview to be calm and truthful. It's just you having a conversation with another person.
Best of luck. |

God bless you o, we all have our different reasons for going, everybody’s reality is different. Let people make their own decisions without shoving yours down their throat! naledis: Not sure why some posts are border-line painting the option of going to study this September as a suicide mission.
For someone who is not depending on the prospects of a student job to fund their maintenance, for someone who is simply going for a degree and returning to continue their life plans, for someone whose plans are time-bound, for such persons, going ahead with study plans this September is totally fine.
Not everyone is planning to stay back. Not everyone is depending on getting a part time job to survive. Not everyone has the luxury of deferring their study plans. You can share your own reservations about study plans this year based on your own circumstances. Stop making blanket statements. Stop predicting doom and gloom. Stop projecting your fears and concerns (which may be truly valid based on your own personal circumstances)
Let people make informed decisions on their own based on facts and their personal circumstances.
Period. |

I said what I said justwise: I think with time you probably going to thank STENON for that reasonably ''unsolicited and insensitive'' advice you are attacking.
This is the wrong time to come to the UK to study IF:
1. You plan to work to make-up remaining fees or rent and bills
2. If you took a loan that requires you to start paying back within a month or two you get to the UK.
If the UK leaves the EU by Jan1 2021 and with the pandemic the run on the economy is anybody's guess
If you have the money without needing part time work then you got nothing to worry about as the lockdown and the restrictions can only give you even more time to concentrate on your studies |

Resist the urge... Skymoore1004: Calm down, she didn’t mean any harm. It’s really up to someone to decide either way. I know someone that got CAS last Friday & decided to defer to January yesterday. I also know about someone that is going for this September intake no matter what, bc he wants his wife to deliver their child in U.K. this October.
So it really depends on different individual circumstances. She was only sharing her opinion |

Personally I think this your advice is unsolicited and insensitive, a lot of people have gotten their CAS, paid visa fees and IHS even, some schools don’t have some peoples course for January intake, you can’t just screenshot news and give unsolicited advice, it’s not cool, everyone has their reasons for doing whatever and no kids here. Don’t make people panic unnecessarily. READ THE ROOM. STENON: For those applying for student visa... Please if you are tired of staying in Nigeria, abeg make una defer till January. I won't encourage anyone to consider study plan for September/October. |

Paid for my one year old separately with his details I couldn’t use the link cos it was telling me I had a pending application so I registered on the test day, they registered me themselves. inphoenix: Please has anyone attended IOM for TB test with under 11 Dependants?
1. Did you pay test fees en block or paid for principal applicant separately? I'm asking because the guidance on registering says only the principal applicant should complete the registration link while others will be registered during the test.
2. After completing the registration link, did you get a confirmation email or anything indicating your user name and password details? Asking in this case because immediately after filling out the online registration form and suggesting a security question, was redirected to a login home page asking for username and password.
Can anyone share their experience in this regard please? Thanks |

Thanks mimilyrics, I actually spoke to a lawyer today, he said it’s best to do Notary Public, it’s better than just doing an affidavit mimilyrics: That's the only official solution you have except you want to go to each institution to change your name to match the name on your passport which can be time-consuming. |

Thanks mimilyrics: I remember seeing a response to your question on the UK student thread so I'm not sure why you're asking again. Is it that you didn't see the answer or it wasn't sufficient? |

spiceeamiee: Get a court affidavit stating that Ganiyat etc and Ganiat etc are one and the same person. On your application form, fill the name on your passport. On the question that asks if you have been known by any other name, fill Ganiat and your surname. Goodluck Thanks |
