plaindealer: This woman is really stupid if you have to ask people how you did, it means you are shallow, you are incompetent, you are insecure and you have seriously low self-esteem, you are basically not sure of yourself.
It's very embarrassing that this clout-chasing and attention-seeking woman put this out there, you are not doing obi any favors with this sorry and pathetic rubbish, you are making him sound and look sheepish and not up to par.
What a disgrace..o Plaindealer, you are plain stupid. |

I thank God everyday. I remember reading articles that questioned Theranos's technology. I admired Ms Holmes for her youthfulness and foresight. But it was all just a lot of smoke and mirrors. What she's done has made it just that more difficult for start ups to get buy-in and support. Investors have become more cynical. |

I love waist beads. I got my first one in secondary school given to me by my school mother. I think yours are too many, but if you like them, fine. I wear about 5 strings and I wear them sitting below my waistline, at the top of my hip. It hides my CS scar and an old appendix scar. I like only crystal beads. I think they look classier. And I like very soft colours like rose pink, pale peach and lilac. I like them because they show off my figure. And I can also easily tell when I start to put on weight. |

Toks2008: Oh my... So it's true.
I'm speechless
It's there no way a swimming pool can have a covering. Swimming pools have covers, some eletronically operated. Some people even have railings and a gate surrounding the pool. How could they have been so careless?! And the thought of leaving my 3 year old child! Not for any reason can I fathom it. At least one parent has to be with him. We take things too much for granted in this country. |
Celebrities › Re: Davido's Son, Ifeanyi Falls Into Swimming Pool, Rushed To The Hospital by Arielle: 7:40am On Nov 01, 2022 |
If you must have a pool in your house and you have small children, get a pool cover. Small children must also be taught to swim. The best time is when they are 6 months old. Some parents do it before but I no get liver. At that age, the pool simulates the environment in the womb that they are still familiar with and they take to the water very easily. This is heartbreaking. I hope it is still just a rumour. |

The Welsh are fanatical about their language. Every single thing in Wales is written in Welsh first, with the English translation below. The old timers even avoid speaking English if they can. Even little children are taught to speak Welsh first, before English. |

Mathiasa: It's actually the cause. The Nigerian government were to build a dam for this reason long ago but nothing has been done. Our own dam is to reduce the effect of havy rain so that flood can be controlled. I remember the last time there was a flood, much was made of the need to build our own dam or at least a system to accommodate the excess water and prevent flooding. In our usual way, when the waters receeded, nothing was done and everyone went their merry way. Somebody was responsible for decions and actions not taken but nobody will be held responsible. |

We are constantly reacting, instead of planning. Even in the most obvious and predictable situations, we wait until the inevitable, then we start running around and flapping our arms like helpless women. It has been obvious for years now that countries were exploring alternatives to crude but we carried on, as oblivious as ever. For a minister to say this openly means the situation is even more dire than they let on. |

Kasssandra: They are choosing the certificateless ones, because at the end, it is those people who do the hard work of mobilization and ganering votes....
A small story before I continue.
A young man with a degree was lamenting that he had no job, while his agemate who finished primary 6 was a councillor, and was earning big money.
The simple reason was that the young man with the degree finished primary 6, left his village to the city for secondary school, then went far away for university, meanwhile his mate stayed at the village, farmed, and when leadership called...he put himself forward.
All of you crying about certificateless Buhari and tinubu and atiku....have you gone and joined a political party, made connections, made sacrifices, carried the big man's bags for them, organised, and so forth...so that you can become a political leader?
Most of you run to Lagos and Abuja, or other big cities after you get your degree, and start looking for money, and big house, and a spouse. Your certificateless mates meanwhile are left at home....and when home people need a leader...who will they choose....is it you who is busy in the city....or the village certificateless mate of yours who is available, and who they know?
Me, I no dey vote APC. But Tinubu is where he is today because he spent 30 years making sacrifices to be where he is. Same for Buhari, same for Atiku (who stepped down for MKO in 1993) and even Obi, who left his city job .
You that is complaining of certificateless leaders...when are you going to leave your city hustle and go home and run for office.? And start from there? When are you going to form a party? Or join one and start from the bottom....
Why are ye so lazy.? Best post I've read on this forum in a long time. |
