abeg Sabi mamas. help me touch light this matter. My son is always feeling restless at night that he will want to put anything in his mouth to rub his gum. he also started pooing this greenish poo since last week like 3 to 4 times daily, we went to the clinic and we were given zinc, Ors and antibiotics. Other Sabi mamas when did ur LO starts teething cos he's just five month old. how soon did you see your period after delivery cos I saw mine dis morning plus DS is five month five days.

No o, people add crayfish, groundnut and soybean to pap. My daughter hated the taste of it (it is not sweet, more sour) and even I and hubby couldn't fake liking it (a trick I use is to eat her food with her).

Try a small quantity with your baby, your child may just like it. It is a nutritious mix.

I don't know Cow and Gate stage 2 but why not check what age is written on the can? I think you can use his regular milk if it's age is 0-12 months. HTH.

And whatever you do, Do Not Make The Mistake I made and add soybean to the ogi. That thing is not sweet and Baby E now associates Ogi with punishment. So we have stopped giving her for now. (She strangely now hates formula of any sort and I used to add it to Ogi as well). So maybe Ogi, breast milk and crayfish? I dunno, just fiddle with the mix, if you like it there's a stronger chance of baby accepting the food.

Make fruit puree and freeze it, they like that cold. Tastes like ice-cream.

I found out that the following home remedies worked for me when my son had a cold/brochitis:

1) silver bird diluted with coconut oil and applied on the scalp
2) warm bath every morning and night. Use a towel with warm water "to press" his chest and back
3) apply robb to chest, back, sides and feet. Do NOT apply robb on his nose.
4)wear socks on his feet
5)lots of warm fluids (if you are not EBF)
6) every time he sneezes and there's mucus, suck it out immediately using either your mouth or a nasal aspirator. You need to get rid of any mucus in the body.
7) if there's dried mucus in his nose, using a towel soaked in warm water, use it "to press" his nose and the bridge of his nose and allow him inhale the steam from the towel
allow him inhale steam. Either from running the shower and placing him in the bathroom or inhaling steam from water in a bowl (you can put robb and little drops of silver bird in the hot water and allow him inhale a little.
9)if you can get "olbas oil" ( it's similar to silver bird), apply few drop at the edge of your baby's cot at night so that he can inhale it.

arihodo, you can also try these home remedies. My son was always congested at night and fine during the day. After repeated visits to the hospital, wasting money on a humidifier and a prescription of antibiotics that did nothing, I did everything listed above and now he's okay. He's no longer congested and no more restless nights with uncomfortable breathing.

Please stay off saline nasal sprays. I found out that it made his congestion actually worse and his breathing very laboured.

It is well my dear sister..my daughter was also diagnosed of adenoids when she was 4months old.She is over 2years noww but her dad does not want her to be operated open.During cold period or when she has cattargh that is when you hear her snoring @ night but during d day time she becomes fine.We use antibiotics for her whenever its serious.I learnt they outgrow it as they grow older.

the poop is still the yellow one, soft bt not as watery as the one he poo wen he has diarrhea den, he was dehydrated den. Bt now he poo d yellow soft one after each breastfeed. N shd i be worried abt abt his neck muscle not strong yet, he will be 3 month on Tuesday.

It normal dear, mine is 8 months and does not have a single tooth. The timeline is btw 3 to 9 months.
