you, and believe me i hate them with a passion so i am not making a case
for them here. I recall on a certain day when traffic light along
Ozumba Mbadiwe turned to Yellow and traffic was still flowing, i knew it
would turn to red any moment, and just before it happened, i applied my
brakes, well behind the dotted lines. You could see the synchronized
steps of the LASTMA guy stepping out to accourst (i am not sure i got
that spelling right)me, but noticing i stopped appropriately, he just
stepped back again. My point?, much as we hate the bad ones amongs them
(and that is like all of them anyways) let us not give them the chance
to pounce on us.

u can't try such thing in their presence i remember seeing a guy close to tears some months ago just because he was contacted to snap an impounded car (maybe it was meant to show the owner it was seized i cud'nt say) this co called Lastma officials seized and destroyed the film in the camera so trying such is impossible.

u can imagine the kind of live this people are living, my office happen to be near this people's office. They extort money from people in the name of helping them, the money that enters their own pocket is even more than what they generate to the government's pocket.

There are some people among those arrested that will even want to harm themselves in there presence to prove they dont av what they are demanding (mostsly old okada men) bt all they do is laugh @ them infact i cant remember how many times av witnessed such things since they moved there.

For the two times I did my story about Wunmi Adebayo's murder, I made it clear that it wasn't conclusive and investigations were still on going to get to the root of the matter. A lot of rumors and stories have being circulated, as to what really happened the night Wunmi was killed, and many people who claim to be her friends have not in anyway helped matters, particular on social media. After publishing the story about the new turn of events on Saturday, this prompted an extremely thorough re-inquiry.The result was a public investigation comprising of the Chief Judge,Investigating Police Officer(IPO), Landlords of golden estate(where the robbery happened), eye-witnesses and many onlookers, present at the crime scene. Following this public inquiry, the case has finally being laid to rest and the BOYFRIEND adjudged INNOCENT. Read everything about the robbery, how the stories started, and what really happened on the faithful night Wunmi Adebayo(may God rest her soul) was murdered.
What really happened....
On monday 10th of September 2012, in the early hours of the morning, armed robbers visited Golden Estate, in Ijebu Ode. The armed robbers raided 3 houses before getting to the house were Wunmi was and probably still planned to go further. Present  in the flat was Wunmi, her boyfriend, her boyfriend's elder brother, his wife and their 4 year old child. The thieves on reaching the flat commenced with the robbery.  From what was revealed during the open investigation and questioning yesterday,The robbers DID NOT RAPE Wunmi, rather, they were interested more in her jewelry. A next door neighbour, an Alfa(muslim cleric) , whose house the robbers would have gone  to next, said the next thing he heard was "Ole! ole!!!(which Wunmi shouted)", and then the sound of gunshots, followed by the groaning of someone in pain. He further stated that he assumed that it was his neighbours wife who had being shot, until after the robbers hurridly left( knowing that the gunshot would have been heard and alerted people around) that he found that it was Wunmi who had being shot in the mouth. The following day, the poilice came around and investigations started, and at that point it was said was assumed that she was killed by robbers.

How The Rumors Started...
The vigilante in Golden estate after the faithful incident *claimed that they were un aware of any robbery incident that took place. This made people then question the cause of her death if not robbers, resulting in the  rumors that started flying around and different theories about how she was killed surfaced, including the voice message, and BBM broadcasts that were circulated. The stories got to the family of Wunmi who had initially rested the case, but insisted on a proper investigation on hearing that it was being said that there was  no robbery recorded. As a result, the Elewe eran police station middle of last week invited Wunmi's boyfriend and a some of his friends for questioning, and they were held, pending the conclusion of investigation. The vigilante's were also arrested and kept in custody.  On Sunday morning 16th of September, it was said that the viglante's confessed to having knowledge of the robbery that took place in the estate that fateful night. When asked why they initially lied, they said they feared for their lives and jobs,because despite being armed with guns as well, they didn't challenge the robbers, as they weren't sure if the robbers out numbered them.
Since the robbery incident last sunday, it is reported that Golden estate, has now became the favorite of robbers as it is alledged that about three robbery incidents has again been recorded in the past week, and that while some have temporarily moved out, others live in perpetual fear for their lives.


On sunday 16th September, 2012, in other to clear all rumours, and finally lay the matter to rest, the police took Wunmi's boyfriend and his other friends who were arrested to the crime of the scene in Golden Estate. The landlords in the estate, the chief judge, IPO, robbery victims in the estate, witnesses and other unlookers interested in the case were present at this public investigation. It was, before everyone present  that questions were being asked, and witnesses gave their various accounts of how they were robbed and what happened the night Wunmi was killed.
The family has now dropped the case, and stated categorically that at no point was Wunmi's spirit invoked. It has also being said that Wunmi's boyfriend and friends who were invited for questioning and held at the Olowo eran police station will be officially released tomorrow as they are said to be innocent and all that was said about them were rumours, fueled by the vigilante's claim at the inital stage that there was no robbery.

 Since doing the message on saturday, I have gotten countless threatening calls and even death threats on the matter from people who claim to be friends of Wunmi's boyfriend. My response to all the callers was that I have no personal interest in the case, but stand for the truth, and should anyone be ready to relate the true nature of events to me with proof, I would be more than glad to publish it-NONE OF THEM CAME FORWARD. Instead, the kept calling and sending threatening meassages. This led me to further ask many questions fueling my suspicion even more.

The Truth....
Yesterday however someone called me. He said he was present at the scene of the crime on Sunday(exactly a week after the incident) where the public investigation and questioning took place. He took it upon himself to inform me about the true nature of things because he had heard all the rumors about Wunmi's boyfriend and being human even joined in spreading the tales, initially. As a result, he decided that the least he could do was help spread the true position of things so people would be aware of what really happened, he added.
After speaking to him, I also interviewed  other eye witnesses and well meaning Nigerians who begged for anonymity, but were present at the scene of the of the public investigation confirming the recent development.

Like I have stated repeatedly, my only interest in the case is that the truth be known-particularly because there were many conflicting stories from the onset. So in laying the case to rest: It was said at the public inquiry that Wunmi was not raped or killed by her boyfriend, neither is he a robber. She was just a victim of circumstance, sent to an untimely death by the men of the underworld.

We are all aware that the  rate of armed robbery in recent time has being on an alarming increase. I just hope the government is fully aware and working in collaboration with the Police force to help curb the menace.

crouched down on my bed as though i was sitting on an imaginary potty(i was even sleeping up cos its a bunk bed), and damn! i'd stained my bedsheet with such smelly shitt! Luckily for me, my roommate were still asleep as i tried to clean it up silently..but unfortunately 4me dey still got to know d next morning..d room was really smelling, my housecaptain even punished me not minding dat i'm still a new student. I was so embarrassed gosh! "yeah look at her, d girl who 'shyted' on her bed" anyway d embarrassment lasted only a few days..i had to explain endlessly dat it was d work of my dream o. Can't even believe it ever happened to me sef.
