Politics / Re: Falling Oil Prices Threaten My Agenda — Buhari by Arizona1: 9:35am On Apr 30, 2015
Bevista:
GMB was addressing NASS members during their induction course, where he mentioned 8 challenges that his administration will face on assumption of office. These include Falling oil prices, Insecurity, Youth Unemployment, Power, De-industrialization, Environmental Pollution in ND, Rebuilding of ravaged NE, etc.

Typically, though, the media has singled out Falling Oil Price so as to create a sensational headline. Baba is not making any excuses, he was simply being pragmatic and calling on the Legislature to join/support the Executive as developmental partners to tackle these 8 challenges.

There is no place in that article that the General said his agenda was threatened. He simply highlighted Challenges, something every corporate leader (whether in private business or public service) does. You need to be objective about the issues, so you can come up with the right strategies to tackle them. I'm sure most of you will learn this as you become leaders.

Stop commenting based on headlines, please always read the body of the article.
What's this one saying, has he forgotten he promised us he will stabilize oil price. Why is the fall in price threatening his agenda. Naija don't enter one chance.

and he should not forget to declare how much he will be giving patience Jonathan every month.

No matter how you want it to be, the first thing and the right thing must be done for transparency. Soon the aboki he used tax payers money to campaign for will send him to jail by the time all his embezzlements in Rivers are exposed.
I am so happy that GEJ has transformed Nigeria so much that people's votes now count which has never happend in Nigeria ever. He had all the tools and power return himself to power on March 28 presidential elections but he chose to remain like a normal contestant to allow Nigerians to decide. Nigerians decided and he took their decision in good faith. All the governors who did not perform where voted out and the people who love their members voted them in. Lagos loves APC and the candidate and Ambode is voted in, same in Kaduna, Plateu, Ogun, Taraba, Niger, Abia and others. The same happend in Rivers, Enugu, Ebonyi, Akwaibom, Delta where the people love the candidates that won the elections. Why are you people crying?

Politics / Sw Criticizing Se & Ss For Voting Gej by Arizona1: 5:44am On Apr 04, 2015
Since after the conclusion of the March 28 presidential election in which the APC presidential candidate General Muhamadu Buhari(rtd) was declared winner, the people of south west has been criticising the igbos for voting massively for the candidate of their choice. They call igbos and south south people lots of bad names saying they are politically blind which is what has been affecting them for ages in NIGERIA.

Well this is democracy where everybody is allowed to say his/her mind and also GEJ has expanded the democratic process in Nigeria.
Now let us face reality here, igbos are people well known for hard work and strongly stand by what they believe in irrespective of the challenges and threats from anybody. Igbos are not like people who always look to join the winning team meanwhile they did not contribute anything meaningful towards the success of that team and that is exactly what I see in SW.
The people who made it possible for General Buhari to win the election which are the entire North has never reacted negeatively to the number of votes GMB got from SE & SS. Why is it that my brothers in SW has taken it upon themselves to create anarchy and disunity in this country by castigating the way and manner the igbos voted?

Looking at the votes casted citically, you will agree with me that without the votes GMB got from the whole SW states, he will still win the election. So how did SW vote in GMB or voted out GEJ?
We are one Nigeria. Politics is just a game, one person must loose.

What did GEJ even did for Yoruba that they would not vote him out? Yoruba has the 50th position in GEJ administration. Jonathan got to position through a Yoruba man Obasanjo and he abandoned Yoruba. Forget about it SS or SE, Ijaw or Urobo you can not be president in Nigeria again
Do you mean yorubas voted GEJ out? How many votes did GMB get from SW? Go do the assignment.

Politics / My Open Letter To President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan by Arizona1: 3:26am On Apr 04, 2015
Mr President, I write to you through this medium to xpress my gratitude to the act of statesmanship highly demonstrated by you during the past presidential and National assembly elections.
In the history of our great country Nigeria, you have done what no past president has ever done, you are truly a man of honour and integrity and I know posterity will not forget you.
On Tuesday march 31st 2015, you wrote your name and Nigeria into the history book by calling General Muhammadu Buhari(rtd) to congratulate him on his victory at the presidential poll. That phone call alone saved our dear country from breaking into violence and disaster after announcing election results.

Some call you clueless, others call you ineffectual but the insightful assessment of you shows you are a true statesman and Nigeria’s ultimate pacifist with the interest on this country always foremost on your mind. You were vilified and insulted. There is perhaps no sitting president in the history of Nigeria that was taken to the cleaners the way Nigerians took you but finally you have emerged the winner. Not of an electoral contest but for your triumph of simplicity and calmness. You suffered election loss but you gained moral victory which has assured your space among the community of statesmen in Africa and the world at large.

Mr President, we all know that you could’ve taken the shorter but dangerous road towards ensuring your success in this election where your name will be written with a pen soaked in blood of your fellow countrymen and women, but like you always say and I quote; “my ambition of becoming the president does not worth the blood of any single Nigerian”, you stood by your words and chose the ground of moral and operational engagement all through the electioneering process. You forgot that you are a politician, threw away Nigeria’s vicious nature of politics and focused on transformation projects all around the country. You lost at the polls but your legacies will live in the history this nation forever.

Mr president your greatest achievement was broadening Nigerian democratic space with the Freedom Of Information Bill. Before now, it is a known fact in Nigeria that incumbents often deploy state powers to muzzle the opposition. Members of the opposition are harassed and state institutions are often deployed to intimidate them and shut them out of the democratic space but not a certain President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Some of your associates and aides believed that your tolerance of the opposition led to your loss of this election. What many might have taken to be your weakness has turned out to be your strength and symbol of legacy which will outlive you forever. You have also raised the bar in statesmanship to the extent that you have unknowingly put those who benefitted from your political tolerance in a moral tight corner.

Beyond your unequalled tolerance to the opposition, you made the improvement on the nation’s infrastructure your priority. You stood firmly by your words in your transformation agenda for our dear country, from roads to agriculture, water resources to food security, power to oil and gas, infact Mr President you ensured that Nigerians were made to feel the impact of government during your administration. They said you could not fight corruption but the first and greatest move you made in 1st January 2012 to eliminate entirely the biggest form of corruption which has been eating deep in the nation’s economy and hindering the economic growth of this country which was removal of fuel subsidy was frustrated by the same people of Nigeria that are complaining of corruption today. Before you came into power, Nigeria had no minister for Petroleum and no Nigeria has ever heard of what is called “Subsidy”. Today an ordinary man on the street not only knows about subsidy but also knows how much the federal government pays yearly to subsidize fuel; what a transparent governance by your administration. They talked about insecurity. Nigeria does not have problem of security but problem of terrorism. America as strong as they are as world powers still faces the same problem of terrorism till today. What about our little country Nigeria.

Mr President let me say that you scored the highest point in the area of road construction. For a long time, many felt the Sagamu-Benin expressway was cursed. So also was the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. For eight years, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) sympathizer could not do anything on those roads. But Jonathan took on these roads and worked on them. The portion of the Sagamu-Benin road that stretches from Ore to Benin City was totally reconstructed. This was a road that travelers used to spend nights on before its rehabilitation. Today, the road is one of the smoothest in this part of the world. Not only has it been totally reconstructed, it has also been expanded with good lay-bys to make life easier for drivers in cases of emergency.
The Lagos-Ibadan expressway is also being reconstructed and expanded from the initial four lanes to six lanes. In fact, the reconstruction is being handled by two construction giants – Julius Berger and RCC Limited. In the northern and eastern part of the country, the story is the same.

Mr President I cannot list all your achievements here but one this I’ll say is that you have established a legacy of democratic freedom, transparency, economic growth and free and fair elections and I will like to see it endure. You promised this country free and fair elections and you kept your word. You have also expanded the space for young Nigerians to participate in the democratic process through diligence, equity and fairness.

Long live GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN
God Bless Nigeria.

Politics / Re: Ladipo Market Belongs To Mushin LGA - LGA Boss by Arizona1: 6:05pm On Aug 02, 2013
Hello guys, please let us stop this face off btw igbos and yorubas,it will not do us any good. We need one another whether you are the land owner or the business owner. The two tribes are not the same and God gave each tribe their own gift. We are young guys, we should not be following whatever mistakes our fathers and our grand fathers made. If we live like this here in Nigeria, what happens when we meet ourselves in foreign land? Igbos have their own life style and yorubas have theirs as well and all are being influenced by their different cultures and values which should be respected.

Igbos and other tribes come to Lagos to do business and invest because Lagos is a land of opportunities and yields good returns and also yorubas benefit from the business and the investments igbos do here because it improves the eceonomy of the state, makes a lot of things available and easier for them and also develop many parts of Lagos state.

So what are we saying, we need one another and no one is more important than the other.
Please my people let us embrace peace and stop all these because it will never do us any good. Let us call a spade a spade and help curb the excessess of some traders, governors, chairmen and other political office holders both here in Lagos and in other states.
