Abayhormy: Do you know the Federal Govt takes about 54% of the nation's revenue ? The states share about 46%. Lagos despite having about 20million people to cater for and all the federal infrastructures abandoned for her when the capital was moved to Abuja, it takes just 55billion anually as allocation while Akwa Ibom recieves 135billion, Rivers 99.67billion, Delta 95.77, Bayelsa 82.04, now tell me, which of these other states have achieved what Lagos has achieved under the genius of Tinubu and Fashola which has been her past/present governors?
Do you know at a point, for years, The federal government wthheld lagos state government allocations totally and Bola Tinubu and Ambode the then acountant general of lagos state had to work together to be creative and work out the genius of running lagos? Just consider the level pressure on infrastructure in lagos, consider the demand for social amenities and compare what lagos gets to these other states and the FG. Mind you, lagos does not have oil revenue, and the Nigerian ports revenue people usually refer to are going to the federal purse. Nigerian Ports Authority is a Federal Parastatal. Somany people confuse it to be a source of state revenue. As at now, FG is owing Lagos 40 billion. . You didn't say a thing about IGR. Anyways, what is your "sauce" |

Had travelled on a 6 week course with a female colleague. The hotel provided breakfast, we had lunch at the office (work days) while cash was given to us daily for dinner (also lunch and dinner, weekends). We were to account for the previous day's expenses to get money for the current day at COB...all monies not spent were usually returned.
Two weeks into the programme, we decided to ensure that no money was returned...and started buying things we will take back to our "people at home" (Naija).
One evening, I was sorting and found out that some "snack" packs had the picture of cats- oh boy, your guy actually bought some cat foods in the lot...omo, see correct packaging nah!! |

Politics › Re: Gov. Rochas Okorocha To Nd'igbo Your Greed Denied Us Senate by AroOkigbo(m): 3:36pm On Apr 03, 2015 |
ILIDEFI: Guy, just shut up. You've got nothing to say.
Tell me who the most prominent Yoruba in this present government, since 2011 is. Isn't it the minister of agriculture, Adesina? Yorubas had an option of producing the Speaker of HoR in the person of Mulikat Akande, but sacrificed it to a NWer, Tambuwal on the altar of strengthening the opposition. Did it affect anything in Yoruba land? David Mark has been Senate President since 2007. Of what benefit has it been to Benue people? Is Ngige the best man for the post of Senate President? What does he know about Senate? 4 years in Senate, yet he never sponsored any bill.
You said Igbos hate everybody, then you are a novice. PDP was started mainly by top northern and Igbo politicians. In PDP, there was a partial alliance between the north and south, while Yorubas were in the opposition. So because the Yoruba opposition is now in the mainstream, we won't hear?
No Igbo man has been president? Even if we agree that Zik was only a ceremonial president, was Maj Gen Aguiyi Ironsi, the first military head of state, a Yoruba man? And what did Obj's presidency achieve for Yorubas? What did GEJ's presidency achieve for Bayelsans? Igbos know how to achieve their potentials even without government support and input. The first indigenous automobile manufacturing industry was built by an Igbo man. We don't need the crappy senate president.
Northerners will always cheat southerners because of their sheer massive population and their unity. In PDP, they were the ones in power, even under GEJ. But because the president is from the minority, they deserted the party and teamed up with Yorubas in APC. If PDP wins again tomorrow, you will see them back in PDP in massive numbers. At the end, they gain while southerners lose, cos whichever direction it goes, they will still have control.
Please just keep your useless talks to yourself. We don't need it. . God bless you. ..and your unborn generation. |
