BusinessRe: Are You A Website Or Domain Flipper Or Do You Know Anyone Into It? by arsetalks(m): 7:26pm On Nov 10, 2014
I am a site flipper. Well, I don't sell anymore but buy them provided they are football related. Whats your question? We can discuss it here. Nothing private please.
WebmastersRe: Bloggers: Before You Try To Be Like Linda Ikeji... by arsetalks(m): 3:32pm On Nov 10, 2014
Good post mate. Really top notch stuff. However, you are wrong when you say one can't get millions of visits or even impressions in the news industry. I have several sites on football and I get at least 2 million visits for 3 of my blogs. If you want it proved, I will but privately.

The problem with our guys is that they so much believe that they have to get sensational before they get views and then hurt themselves in the long run. They have abandoned the basis. And most of them come in here with the intention of making money without working hard. Let's be honest, many of us who are into blogging will not be doing it if there is better opportunities for us and a good number of us who became overnight bloggers are doing it simply to make money but some are so desperate to make that money that they neglect hard work. You can't neglect hard work in this niche and succeed. NEVER.

It took me 1 year 3 months to make the first $100 online and it was even $3 short as it was exactly $97 but I didn't give up. I kept reading and WORKING HARD. The following month I sold a website for $3999 but then I knew when that niche was dying and left. I would not have known if I was doing what most others are doing today, following Linda Ikeji. I know people who are still struggling with a niche I abandoned 5 years ago, simply because they still believe I am in that Niche of which I have sold my site and moved on.

Many don't want to do researches. Which is inevitable if you want to be successful as a blogger. For instance, through my researches, I discovered an untapped niche known as reverse phone detective niche. Myself and a fellow Nairalander made at least $10k each and when I made mistake of using the niche as an example in an ebook I wrote back then, Nigerians jumped into it, I left the niche immediately for them.

I am now into my passion - football. And tell you what? I get on average 2m visits for one of my blogs and I have 14 of them ( off course I can only maintain just 3 at once so not all do well as some were bought with the intention of flipping them off later ).

You see Nigerians giving my oga akinalabi ( I am able to call him my owner because I learnt through him. I am any day any time proud of his humility ) free money even when they don't know about sports betting ( it is an art, not just a game ) whereas a good number of this people have good opinion in the beautiful game of football or other sports which they can put into writing in a blog and make a killing but they won't cos they rather follow Linda Ikeji. They believe they only way they can do well is to become another Linda Ikeji.

I bought a football blog from a fellow Nigerian for 350 GBP. Same blog makes on average 500 pounds per month. Reason - I put my time in what I know instead of he who concentrates on his other blog which is about celebrity news which he knows f*ck all about.

The funny thing is, to generate traffic with a football site is extremely easy. You can not see me posting on facebook, I do post on twitter simply because I like to make noise about how good my writers are, but we generate great amount of traffic.

You only need to make sure your articles are well written, your news source cited and you add your opinion and sites such as kicknews.com, goonernews, chelseanews, newsnow.co.uk among others will happily list you on their network and send you millions of traffic.

Bottom line - Nigerians need to learn how to carry out researches and stop been unnecessarily sensational in their headline. Yes, the world of journalism/blogging is somewhat sensational but some of our people do not only get sensational, they outright lie thereby putting put off.

People also need to accept the fact that there are many niches out there. Learn niche research, learn keyword research. From these 2 you know how good or bad a niche. It is like setting up a site on weight loss, be an expert for all I care, you will struggle because there are just too many experts in that niche - bar sports/football niches.
PoliticsRe: An Open Letter By A Northerner by arsetalks(m): 7:31am On Nov 10, 2014
Ikengawo:
Again if I wake up and kill you what is GEJ supposed to do? The north has police, sharia police, local government, state government, traditional government, religious institutions, cultural institutions and able bodied men that can double the population of most african countries. Boko haram has been around preaching violence for decades and they all knew it. Not only that but they know of other groups starting today that will be the future boko haram in their neighborhood buy cowardice keeps these people as bystanders to their own destiny.

If the level of thinking is basic in the north so be it, but take it from someone with sense; where is boko haram getting it's membership from? FG is killing these guys daily and their numbers are doubling. If GEJ killed all of them like Yar Adua did there will be another boko haram in a week as we've seen.

At this point I give credit to the army for their bravery because there's a deficit of courage in northern nigeria. The remaining solution isnt with the FG but with the brothers of these men to talk to their brothers and bring them back to humanity. Find the people of the north in the streets, army, government, and traditional institutions to stop supporting this terror group as they clearly do. GEJ can shoot and shoot but if the north won't change, this will happen from now until the end of history. Cowardice opens the door to evil and closes its eyes. Open your eyes and fight like men.
Wow. I must be living in a cleave not to know the north than has their own police and army that's not controlled by the federal government.

Care to tell me when this happened?

I am sure you are not taking yourself seriously with this post hence I won't bother replying you.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan, A Disaster To Nigeria –unongo by arsetalks(m): 7:28am On Nov 10, 2014
I don't care who rules or from which region provided the person is better than GEJ. GEJ has shown us he does not have what it takes to rule us.

There is no security, the economy is dying, no infrastructure, all we see is numbers cooked up to back his political agenda. It is time for him to go home ( zoo? ).

Be it igbo, yoruba, hausa or anyone from the Delta, provided they can rule, it is them not Gej.

Gej no doubt loves this country but loving someone is something not enough. We need more than Gej can provide.
PoliticsRe: Orubebe’s Hired Crowd Turns Against Him by arsetalks(m): 7:22am On Nov 10, 2014
If you find out, the crowd is dominated by youths yet we are told people like Buhari should not be voted just so the youth can rule.

The youth is busy and should be allowed to concentrate on what they know better. They are busy shagging their trousers, chasing after different girls, drawing tattoos, ripping people off their hard earned money in the name of revenge for slave trade.

I am sure when the youth is ready, the elderly will voluntarily give way.

They should feel the pain of the people a little as well. After all, what's good for the goose, is equally good for the gander.

Further prove of GEJ/PDP's praise worship obsession. They are working so hard to prove their acceptability something which ought to come natural.

Some regional/religion sentimentalist may be blinded, but many of us have eyes. See you on election day.
PoliticsRe: An Open Letter By A Northerner by arsetalks(m): 7:02am On Nov 10, 2014
The north is and has always been their own problem but that doesn't mean the government could have done nothing to lame the rubbish going on there.

After all the schools been destroyed, the hospitals and all those been destroyed were built using the nation's money. Those been killed are Nigerians and last time I checked, the FG has a responsibility to protect this people.

And let's not generalise let's we qualify as bigots. Those causing damages over there are differently in the minority. Let's not be like the bigot yanks and brits who think every Nigerian is a 419ner.

Someone has the power to stop the excesses over there, he has not done that. Are we saying we fold our hands and have the north been destroyed?

If we can't see the north as a part of a ONE Nigeria, shouldn't we consider splitting then?

RomanceRe: Knowing 'God's Will' In Choosing A Partner? by arsetalks(m): 1:31pm On Nov 09, 2014
God's will in marriage? That's one thing that has ruined many people. So called pastors will say "he/she is not the will of GOD for you" forgetting the fact that Eve was never planned for Adam but created at Adam's request.

Where in the bible did this doctrine emanate from? GOD gave us freedom of choice "I put before you life and death but choose life that it may be well with you".

GOD judges by our hearts and gives us the chance to choose what we feel best for us.

Did GOD choose Sarah for Abraham? Na. Abraham chose by himself.

Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Feel When It Seems The Pastor Is Referring To You In His Sermon? by arsetalks(m): 10:00am On Nov 09, 2014
twerkjack:
There was a day in church, when a lady walked into the auditorium (late) wearing what u can call 'mini' skirt, loads of makeup, and a very high and noisy heeled shoes. So when she walked in, all eyes were on her (including the pastor's). Suddenly, what we heard was a sigh from the pastor (as though he was warming up) and he started " brethren u see when we talk about things like this some people take it the wrong way, how can u differentiate the sheep from the goat? What did the Bible mean by saying that "she dressed in the attire of a Harlot?" sometimes u see. A fellow brethren and u can't greet them, not because u don't want to, but because u can't recognize them, and now those attitudes are being brought into the church. How can u call urself a Child of God and yet behave more worldly than the world? Have u ever seen a dog sucking from a goats breast?" hehehehehehe. He went on and on without calling names buh everyone knew who he was referring to. Something similar has happened to me concerning lateness and trust me ȋ̝̊̅̄
Felt like all the hairs on my head was straight upwards. Has it happened to u? If yes share ur experience.
That was wrong from the pastor. Pastors are to compel the goats to the LORD who will in turn make them his sheeps.

Some radical pastors do this thinking they are helping whereas they merely destroying.

I have however had many times I feel the preaching was targeting at me. One in particular was when a guest pastor preached and the title was "MONEY" that to me was the best preaching in my church. It was a topic people get hypocritical ( just like sex ) about but one that should be discussed as it not been discussed has ruined many.
RomanceRe: When A Girl You Love Was Raped And Got Pregnant As A Result by arsetalks(m): 9:31am On Nov 09, 2014
Dicey. It has happened to me before though. I was dating this Imo girl ( my first love ), she was raped by a court guy in her school she didnt tell me about it but ( some people won't believe this part but it is their business ) I kept dreaming and seeing her in trouble. I asked her several times, she denied it and being then someone with a gift of dreams, I knew something was definitely wrong. One afternoon I had a dream that she was pregnant for someone else. And I knew when I dream constantly like this ( with a very odd sign accompanying it ) then it is spot on.

I knew the dream was spot on but I was afraid I may be wrong ( rather, I sold myself the idea I was wrong ) and could not confront her for a while for the fear of ruining things. I later Confronted her and she could not deny it as we both know how much I had suffered from dreams coming to pass and how hard I have prayed about the "torturing gift" of dreams unfortunately before I confronted her, she already terminated the pregnancy.

I was going to accept the baby even though it wasn't mine but she foolishly terminated it. I was very disappointed because it happened at a time I had issues with a friend of mine getting burnt ( generator ) in my house and dying 7 days later with his family who were understandable pained wanting to also take my life. If she had died during the abortion, I probably would have suffered for an offense I never committed.

This act almost killed our relationship but same girl dumped me 2 years later for another man just while we were planning our introduction.

My advise: if you/your friend think(s) you/he can father the child, he should ask her to keep it. It is much more difficult for the lady because it will continue to bring her pain but if you can manage to convince her that the little kid did nothing wrong, it is the monster of a father that should be punished and not the baby.

Also, you should consider the dangers of abortion. 1. No matter how much you try to convince me, abortion is the same thing as murdering someone. Unless you think you can kill someone, do not involve in abortion. Imagine for a minute if you were aborted? Or if the other great men we have and have had in the world were aborted.

2. If you love the girl, will you want her to die? If no, you need to seriously consider the fact that she can lose her life while trying to abort the child.

3. If she successfully abort the child and she makes it through, there is a good chance that her womb may be destroyed. If that becomes the case, she may not have a child. Can you live with that?

4. If she does not have a child in future simply because during the abortion her womb was destroyed, you may be forced to adopt a child(ren), do you know if the child(ren) you will be adopting was born from molestation? You can simply keep the child and see him as an adopted son.

Personally, I will not advise anyone to carry out an abortion. It is very very bad.
