EnlightenedSoul:Thanks walal. I pray that you get in ![]() Germany is covered in farm land. We just make fun of southerners, they're our conservative lederhosen-wearing hillbillies lol. |
TerraAromata:Hahaha come on you know what happened Ich arbeite jetzt in Köln so senden sie mir Ihre nummer via email and say hello to Sami from me ![]() you are welcome anytime my dear utma. PS: I've seen that picture, it is Bandar Mur'ayo and it is actually on the way to Cape Guardafui. Scenic little village but it is too damn hot in the summer. |
EnlightenedSoul:I hope so too. I'm getting my results in around 2 weeks. LOL @ how bad is it. I'm heard rumours here and there but thank god I don't know someone who rapes animals. The changes of me knowing one are pretty slim. It would have been a different story if I was from the south though lol. |
EnlightenedSoul:Loool haa waa aniga. It was the last few months in Uni for me, I had to isolate myself from all social networks so I could put some work in. Sidee tahay walashey? It is not covert but it isn't mainstream either. I don't think it will ever become mainstream for obvious reasons. It is on the rise here in Europe though, that's for sure. |
Ihuomadinihu:The vast majority of Africans share a common ancestor but that was over 40,000-50,000 years ago. The same can be said about all humans in general. No one takes him serious, so I suggest you either ignore him or troll back at him lol. |
Damn there is too much pseudo science to debunk. Ihuomadinihu, Somalis are indigenous sub saharan Africans. Not Arab. Axum or shall I say 'fieldmarshalmenace' from Somalinet. I've finally figured out who you are lol. I signed up to Somalinet like a week ago but I'm still waiting to on the moderators' approval. The first thing I'll do is to put you on blast. ![]() |
EnlightenedSoul:Animal brothels are on the rise in mainland Europe and Scandinavia. People come from as far as Asia and South America for these brothels. I'm also pretty sure that there are some states in the US where there are no laws that prohibit bestiality, therefore people can get away with raping an animal. Salaam btw, ma fiican tahey walal? ![]() |
TerraAromata:Hmm... Does your name start with a Y by any chance? ![]() Btw nice video and pictures. |
LOL @ the Putin fan boys ![]() Russia seems like the lesser of two evils but in the long run, they are exactly the same as the US. Let the big boys have their pissing contest. |
gallivant:We've been through this indeed and you couldn't prove me wrong. I've provided the sources confirming my claims, why don't you refute them in a mannerly way instead of a one line response? Our pasts are not intertwined but we definitely gave your colonial masters a lesson they'd never forget. Stop cheerleading and join the debate. |
Omarbah:Portugal was not a superpower in the 15th century?? You can repeat that again. They tried to destroy and loot the Somali coast completely, they failed and the plan backfired on them. Their colonies in Southeast Africa paid the price for their stupid plan. |
Omarbah:I wasn't even talking about the recent Garissa attacks until you mentioned it. I'll put it in simple bullet points so everyone can understand where I'm coming from and see past your silly little game. - You said we despise and distrust Kenyans. - I began stating the reasons why some members in our community don't like them i.e. Jubaland initiative, maritime border dispute, Wagalla, Garissa massacres and I didn't even mention the recent Kasaraani concentration camp. - Then you spontaneously mention the recent Alshabab attack on Garissa and accuse me of trying to make you look away from it when we weren't even talking about it. - When I said that no life is worth more than another you ignored that and again accused me of covertly supporting Alshabab. I didn't talk about Garissa in 1980 from the get go, you just desperately mentioned the Uni attack to make me look like the villain here. It was a pathetic attempt tbh. Omarbah:The article states common problems among the African community in America. The prejudices and stereotypes are quite widespread among Africans, believe it or not I've read an article that reported on Nigerian immigrants calling AAs 'akata', I'm sure you know what that means. As for the US soldiers in Somalia, what do you expect? Even the white soldiers were called pigs and what not. We all know where it ended for the US in Somalia. All the minorities, including major clans were marginalised under the Siad Barre regime and the Bantu received their fair share of it. Also during the civil war, the minorities were technically sitting ducks and the warring factions took advantage of them. They fare much better today where they own their own farmland and are incorporated into the Somali clan system. All the minorities need better political representation so it is fair for them as well. That problem is slowly being fixed now. Somali Bantu workers enjoy a lot of freedom and benefit immensely from the construction boom in the capital. It is up to you if you choose to believe a man who declared himself God and spewed a load of other crap here. I'm done arguing about this. Omarbah:You are contradicting your own link. Most of the fighting were between the Somali National Army + the Somali ASWJ fighters and Alshabab. That's why the SNA had the most soldiers in the battles before Alshabab withdrew from Mogadishu and also the most casualties. In the two year timeline in that link, there were more than 500 dead Somali soldiers compared to the 100 Amisom soldiers. The battles in mogadishu were increasingly more common after Sharif Ahmed took office as head of the Transitional Government. If you really think the AU were responsible for Alshabab's withdrawal from the capital then ask yourself how on earth they failed to do so since 2006 when they were first deployed. Even today when they number up to 22,000, most of them are concentrated in the capital and the SNA does most of the footwork. Recent reports shed light on how Amisom soldiers bribed local gangs and militia to guard them from Alshabab, so they could collect their fat checks at the end of the month without doing any work. The SNA and AU hit them in the Bakaara market a few days before the withdrawal of Mogadishu but they were still in control of vital bases. They claimed it was a tactical withdrawal and it does increasingly look like they were right because there has been more suicide bombings, more attacks on government officials and more fightings in the capital after they left. So my point still stands, if the SNA had received the same training, equipment and salary as the Amisom, they would have eradicated Alshabab long time ago. Omarbah:Since we're paying close attention to the terminology, is it not stealing when the resources sit on our EEZ? You are completely ignoring the fact that Kenya entered Somalia with their main priority being to create a vassal state so they can influence the decision making in Somalia. Top that with recently disputing our waters and getting foreigners (China and Norway) to fund their sinister plan. You can sugar-coat it however you like but it is most definitely exploitation, theft and treachery. Omarbah:Most Somalis? didn't you say that you met really few? You are clutching straws really but I'll let you have it. It only reflects on your intelligence when you generalise an entire community because of a troll and someone who excluded themselves when he/she was talking to you or other Africans. I really hope you keep it at hi and bye, it would spare a fellow Somali from having to deal with your bias. As you said, you believe what you want. |
gallivant:Read these books. There are citations in there stating that the Ajuuraan-Ottoman naval forces reached the Portuguese colonies in Southeast Africa. Portuguese rule and Spanish crown in South Africa, 1581–1640 Four centuries of Swahili verse: a literary history and anthology Cities of the Middle East and North Africa: A Historical Encyclopedia |
Omarbah:And where did you pull this out of? You are just pure comedy wallahi. Tell me about the currencies of these states. As for your question, the Ajuuraan empire fought tooth and nail with the Portuguese and even going after them to defeat them on the East African coast repeatedly. |
Omarbah:Hmmm ok what does this mean then? Kenyans, the Bantus that your people despise and look down upon so much, are the ones helping Somalia get back on its feet. And how exactly have I proven that I don't care about the Garissa Uni attack? Just because I said I won't forget the past doesn't mean I don't care about the 148 people that died last week. Why do I have to either be with or against Alshabab/Kenya? Your problem is that you're doing a lot of guess work and it is not working in your favour Somalis get along just fine with everybody - you can't refute that statement either. All you have is a school fight and Axum's trolling. Omarbah:You mean the AU soldiers that were commanded to a 1km road from the airport to the presidential palace. AU only started the fighting after 2011, before that, they allowed Alshabab to be in control of most of the south and central regions and the only entities actually fighting Alshabab were Somali clan militias. Btw AU didn't drive them out of the capital, they were in possession of most of the city until they left suddenly without a single bullet being fired. Omarbah:Did you even click the link? and do you ever google stuff? We are not talking about Sudan! Jubaland is got it's name from the River Juba that runs across the southern regions of Somalia. http://news.yahoo.com/somalia-sues-kenya-top-un-court-over-maritime-225946278.html http://www.theeastafrican.co.ke/news/Somalia---It-s-our-water--sovereignty--/-/2558/2467202/-/147svx/-/index.html http://www.geeskaafrika.com/kenya-risks-of-losing-somalis-territorial-waters-in-the-indian-ocean/5521/ Notice how they tried to accelerate the oil exploration in disputed area after they created a vassal state within Somalia. Omarbah:Pardon me for having a hard time believing you but you are full of inconsistencies. If you truly had so many encounters with Somalis, you would have shared them the first time I asked you. You didn't have a hard time repeating whatever Axum said so why was it so hard to recall your "encounters" when they were needed? I call that bullshitt. |

Lol you went full ret.ard there, I won't waste more time on you. @BluIvy |
Omarbah:I can also mention Somali sultanates like the Warsangeli, Bimaal, Geledi, Dervish state and of course my own Majertain Kingdom. But I want to know of the bigger Fulani states that took down European superpowers, had their own coinage, had trade links with the rest of the world and etc. The only state that is almost worth a mention is the Sokoto Caliphate which dispersed after a mere 100 years. It is no match to Adal empire which existed for 600-700 years or the 500 year-old Ajuuraan empire in south and central Somalia. |
Omarbah:Smh you are not making any sense! We weren't talking about the recent Garissa attack so how on earth am I trying to make people look away from it? You said that we don't like Kenyans so I mentioned some facts about the history between Somalia and Kenya then you say put aside the past?? WTF... Look back at your responses and count your contradictions. Your inconsistencies show that you're way out of your depth. No life is worth less than another so why should we forget our people that were massacred at the hands of the Kenyan government and weep when they are massacred by terrorists? It would be ideal for us if the men behind the attack on the university were brought to justice but there is absolutely no way in hell we're just going to forgive and forget what happened on Wagalla airstrip in 1984 and in Garissa 1980. Amisom has been responsible for thousands of civilian deaths and giving Alshabab competition on the number of Somalis killed. Last year, Human Rights Watch published a 77 page report about Amisom soldiers abusing and raping civilians in Somalia. The soldiers that were continually mentioned were Ugandan and Burundian soldiers. I would be over the moon if AU left tomorrow, because I know that if Somali soldiers had received better training, equipment and same salary as the AU soldiers, Alshabab would have ceased to exist around 3 years ago. We really wish Kenya and all East african countries success and prosperity but it doesn't and shouldn't come at the expense of Somalia/Somalis. Omarbah:http://100r.org/2011/12/kenyas-somali-adventure/ You can also read how China funded Kenya on the failed Jubaland initiative on wikileaks. Omarbah:You've proved me right when I said that your interactions with Somalis is bare minimal and I'd even go as far as saying that the only Somali you've ever had an exchange with is Axum since he's your only point of reference. Your accusations of me trying to 'convince' people that we're not like Axum are just childish... I wasn't trying to convince anyone anything, I was trying to expose your ignorance and unreasonable bias. It was quite fun watching you go around in circles because you just can't admit that you were wrong. I really expected better from a Fulani on Nairaland, considering the amount of Fulani bashing I've seen on here. Then again, this is the Internet, you see all kinds of weird shitt. |
Omarbah:See this comment demonstrates what I really meant when I called you ignorant. You have no idea of the history between Kenya and Somalis, no idea of the Wagalla massacre (5000 dead Somalis in one day) or the Garissa massacre... oh yes, Garissa had 3000 of its Somali sons massacred in broad daylight. It was Kenya's own decision to fight Alshabab inside Somalia so they could create a buffer state that would serve their interests from inside Somalia meanwhile they try to loot the oil in our maritime EEZ. That plan backfired horribly, Juba admin is now fully incorporated in the Somali gov and Alshabab is wreaking havoc in Kenya. That is not our fault, they tried to execute a devious plan and it failed. I sympathise with the Kenyan people for being misinformed and scapegoated by their government. What I don't understand is how you can blindly choose sides in a place that you have no understanding of and has nothing to do with you... I'm really amazed. |
Omarbah:1. The bold part is bullshitt and I know for a fact that you are just repeating exactly what Axum said. The only reason why you are agreeing with his narrative is because you actually believe what he says and refuse to admit that he is wrong. In my part of Somalia, my people hadn't seen Bantu's for 100s of years until they arrived as internally displaced refugees. 2. I don't speak for Ethiopians. 3. I'm convinced more and more that your interaction with Somalis is absolute minimal. 4. But since you see 'my' people on a regular basis, share some of the things they do that convinced you that we're xenophobic. Even non-Somalis who know us can easily see through Axum's bullshit and he has been playing you guys for a long time. Omarbah:LOL are you hearing yourself? Islam didn't reach Kenya and South Sudan fully because Somalis were racists - That is beyond ridiculous man even Fulaman will agree. I've read about the Takrur and I remember it being a subject of the Ghana empire and they joined the moravids in their endeavours in Andalusia afterwards. That's if I'm not mistaken. I will do some reading on the Fulani states that you didn't mention but I can comfortably say that not a single Fulani state that is comparable to the Ajuuraan, whether it is in terms of legacy, trade, territorial governance and influence. Bear in mind this is the empire that welcomed the evicted Muslims from Spain with open arms. But anyway since we're name dropping, we had great scholars and leaders too starting with Imam Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Ghazi, Hasan and Abderahman Al-Jaberti, Sheikh Abadir Umar Ar-rida, Umar Dunya-Hawz, Garad Ahmed Hirabu to Sheikh Uwaiz Al-Barawi and Sayid Mohammed Abdillah Hassan. Harar has mosques dating back to the 9th century. Trust me when I say the importance of the horn when it comes to the spreading of Islam cannot be downplayed, not even a bit. |
MduZA:Are you just joining in for the sake of it now? You want me to zip it while she calls me a terrorist is that what you're saying? If that's the case, then allow me to call murderer and rapist and remember you can say absolutely nada in return. |
axum:Post a real picture of yourself this time and we'll see who looks more Somali. |
MduZA:Stats are online and I have no quarrels with South Africans as long as you keep your village idiots in check. Refer to the comments above. |
BluIvy:Life counts in SA LOL that must be a joke, you still have a higher crime rate than Somalia... You've got no leg to stand on and the terrorist line didn't bang the first time and it certainly didn't bang this time either. Anyway don't you have some shops to loot? Stop wasting time on NL and get to work. |
Omarbah:He's exaggerating, if we really hated people, we wouldn't have helped many African states in their fight for independence - I'll expand on this when we're discussing political influence. We're not xenophobic but he is. Japan has a more conserved culture than Somalis and look where that took them. We established great empires, sultanates and kingdoms, we went wrong in the civil war and let clans divide us but we would have achieved greater things had we been a little smarter in the 90s. |
Omarbah:I don't know If I've said this before but Somalis share almost nothing with northern Sudanese people, they speak arabic, dress like them and behave like them. Most Somalis don't even speak Arabic. See even though it is taught in schools, it is not important in Somali lands. Somali culture is completely different from Arabic culture. I would understand it if you said Muslim Ethiopians/Eritreans but Sudanese are not where near similar to Somalis. As for spreading Islam, in the medieval times. The walled city of Harar which was the capital of the Somali Adal empire was considered the 4th holiest city of Islam. Often being described as Madinat Al-Awliya by Muslim scholars. I'm not aware of the kind of resistance the Fulanis faced in their endeavours but we faced the Portuguese at their prime (on land and on sea) and the oldest Christian kingdom on earth, Abyssinia and still defeated them in battle because they mistreated the Muslims. The Adal empire started out in Zeyla (which one of the oldest mosques in the world, Masjid al Qiblatein) and the Gulf of Tadjoura in the Red Sea and managed to conquer a territory larger than Nigeria within 2 years. Today, 40% of Ethiopians and half of Eritreans are Muslim, obviously I'm not going to claim that it is all down to Somalis but we played a huge part in spreading Islam in the horn. Somalis expanded in territory, from being a small tribe in the mountainous regions near the Red Sea, to now settling deep inside Kenya. Around the same time as Adal, we had another Somali empire in the south called the Ajuuraan empire which traded and dealt with people from all over the world. From Christian Europeans to Indians, Malay and Chinese dynasties. There are also many scriptures pointing towards Abu Barakaat al-Barbari who was single-handedly responsible for spreading Islam in the Maldives being Somali and there are also many books stating the Ajuuraan possessed a large colony in Kinolhas (Maldives). What I gather from your comment is a lot of resentment, mostly down to ignorance when it comes to the horn. As I said before, we are indifferent to all non-Somalis, whether you are dark or light. That's why the old age Somalis forbade the Europeans from marrying Somali women, their women giving birth on Somali soil and also called Arabs a bunch of women (Sayyid Mohammed) when it came to battle. |
Omarbah:I've already explained that you made the claims, I can only dispute it if you back it up with facts. Otherwise it will all be hogwash. I'm logging off now. If I don't see a by tomorrow, I'll take it as a sign that you've taken back what you said. Salamaat. |
Omarbah:Somalis are indifferent to all non-Somalis. If you ask a Somali who their eternal enemy is, 9 out of 10 times they will reply with a Horner ethnic group because of our long history. If anybody hates us and starts being hostile, that's what they get back x10. Anyone who believes they can kill innocent people because a bastar.d sheikh tells them to deserves nothing but a hot bullet on their forehead. There is no reasoning with terrorists. |
Omarbah:How can I dispute your claims without facts?? You shouldn't have said what you said if you're not going to be steadfast upon your word. I mean after all, we are just a bunch of starving terrorist kunts... I'm out. |
Tsk.
