You might be bounced back based on your purpose of visit. Why do you want to acquire another undergrad degree when you already have one in Nigeria? You should move foward instead of remaining stagnant in your academic pursuit. Show academic progression by applying for graduate program.

Have a re-think bro

Brother, i'll advice you to apply to MUN or Windsor. Windsor might not be so difficult to get into.
Windsor gave my friend an admission with same of yours. GPA.3.65/5.0.He has no work experience, just graduated lately. He packaged his application well and wrote an extremely convincing Letter of Intent which i read.. (course based masters) And i guess his letter of recommendations are great.

My lil advice, buh if u feel Manitoba is okay by you. Go ahead brother.
michael28:
Good day all, I'm new here and I would like to know my chance of getting admission into MUN or U of Manitoba with a CGPA of 3.65/5.0 but the average GPA of my last two years of undergraduate study is 4.3/5.0. Thank you

Thanks boss.. 1 more. Is it difficult i get job while schooling ?
Jonghyunwife:
For gaining admission, no unless the school specifically asks for it.
For visa application, it's compulsory.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 9:47am On Jul 12, 2018
Boss. First of all google search schools that offers your course,
then check the deadline, if not passed, check required documents for admission, then apply. Isn't that simple ?

Yess WEIRD. I applied through OnatrioUAC. This is the response i got
WEIRDPC:
Hello,

Are you talking about Ontario University Application Center?. OUAC gives you access to apply to your school, once your payment has been confirmed.

After making payment, you create a profile on ouac. I really cant remember the next step. You will use this ouac to submit your application

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 7:50pm On Jul 03, 2018
Does anyone understands OUAC. This thing is giving me headache !! I applied through uOttawa and paid app fee $100 today

Hi everyone, i don't understand this uOttawa admission portal at all. I paid the required app fee $100 this morning. After paying the app fee, I saw a clickable link that will link me to a mail to which i send my required documents. Buh for now, i can no longer see the link. Could the reason be that i haven't printed the application summary. Has my $100 has gone ? Uottawa fellas.

Help me see to this issue.

Can some one kindly help.me review this above "statement" in reference to my low grade in French Language.

Dear Admission committee.

The reason for my low grade in French Language is due to the fact that i'm a Nigerian, Although English is the Language of instruction in (name of my sch).I can't write nor speak french Language fluenly, however this consequently resulted to my low grade in French Language.

I hope i composed this statement properly. If not. I beg of you all. kindly help do so. I'll appreciate you all
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 7:44am On Jun 30, 2018
Thank you reichwolf. I just hope they'll understand and consider me.
reichwolf:
Go ahead with that reason. Sometimes simple honesty helps. I myself was pretty honest with my grades in my University application & God willing it turned out well.

Keep the faith going & I hope you’ll get the admission.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 7:09am On Jun 30, 2018
Good morning everyone.. I found out Uottawa gives applicants opportunity to discuss reasons for low grade.

It is gonna look nice if i state in my letter of intent to uOttawa that one of the reasons why i didn't do well in French language is because i'm a Nigerian, however i'm not that good in French language.

Reason : My sch compulsory french language classes for its stutends. The score apprently reducesd my GPA. Truly i didn't do well in French. I hope i don't bite my self by giving reasons for low grade. any suggestion pls.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 8:22pm On Jun 18, 2018
Thank you very much Jewel.. I appreciate your response alot
Jewel80:
Some schools ask for referee's email, a link to a reference form is sent to your referee, he or she fills the form and submits. Some schools will still send a reference form to the referee and provide an option for attaching a scanned copy of a written reference letter after filling the form. In that case, your reference letter must be written in a letterheaded paper of your former insitution for academic refs and letterheaded paper of organisation for professional refs.

The schools that ask for letterheaded paper usually do not mandate for an institutional mail (usually not yahoo, gmail, etc), so the paper shows them is official. Also make sure the letters are signed and stamped only if the ref has a stamp, not compulsory.

But if your referees have a functional institutional mail address, then it substitutes the letterheaded paper because the institutional mail shows its official.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 4:33pm On Jun 18, 2018
Noo. Must be sent through mail not paper.
Kishkosh:
Did your school/department ask for paper recommendation letter? (cuz it is usually by mail), if the answer is in affirmative, then the referees will have to write on letterhead, signed and sealed.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 4:12pm On Jun 18, 2018
Evening all.. On the letter of recommendation. Must my referees use use the official logo of their institution and must there be a letterhead of the name of the office on the letter ?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 5:17pm On Jun 15, 2018
@kishkosh you told me ealier that it isn't necessary to be from an official email, buh considerimg Uzee's advice. I feel it's mandatory to be from an official mail.
Kishkosh:
Well, I'm not disputing that above , but by the grace of God , I got admission into uottawa with one of my two references mail being a Gmail account . She's even a Ph.d holder and not a professor.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 3:57pm On Jun 15, 2018
The reference letter required my uottawa is to be sent online, not through courier.
nogara:
Kindly follow their instructions on your application portal. If your referees are asked to send official reference letters, then contact them and get them write the letters while you send it via DHL yourself. Most times, Uottawa request for official and unofficial reference letters.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Asapant: 3:45pm On Jun 15, 2018
Thanks Uzee. I appreciate you
Uzee24:
Yes, it has to be an official(institutional email as they put it) email address. That way, the school gets to know you are not the one refreeing yourself. Anybody can own a personal email, but you just cant own an email with the name or acronym of an institution if you dont work there.

Think of it like the official and unofficial transcript you send before and after you recieve your admission.
