My wife finally delivered through CS. I am very thankful that mother and child are both doing fine.

Its been a very traumatic and stressful month, we nearly lost the battle but we won and we are victorious. There was a period during which I could not sleep for up to 72 hours.

Despite the fact that the financial demands were unrelenting and very overwhelming, and there was nothing (I am a private school teacher without pay through the lock down), somehow I was able to borrow from friends, family and even strangers.

And very importantly, we are filled with satisfaction that all our efforts were not in vain.

I have now learned that high BP and edema during pregnancy should be taken very seriously.

I happily announce to the house the birth of my son.

What reason did the person give for Nan not being good?
I personally don't like Nan because I feel it is too sweet.
SMA is good.
Aptamil is good too. I use Aptamil.
It all depends to what you can afford and what baby likes. If baby prefers Nan, please get that for him or her.

They said nan is not good. Someone recommended Aptamil. Please experienced mum in the house, come to my rescue

My sisters baby had same problem. He had a corrective surgery when he was a year old.

would be going to hospital on friday, just asking incase any mamma has experienced this. one of the testes on my son appears not to hv descended properly, he ia at the 6months mark, and google is saying surgery to remedy it. really not looking forward to surgery at this temder age . is there any home made ready to encourage the 2nd testes to descend properly?

I don't remember all the herbs.

Milk thistle
Garlic powder
Ginger root
Burdock root
Swedish bitters was also part

The herbs were more than 15
Some were in their raw form others were powdered.

Sisters my heart is broken...... please encourage me. I don't know what else to do.

My doctor told me yesterday that my only option is now IVF. We don't have IVF money for now. Im having tubal infertility. My right tube is totally blocked no spillage at all and I don't know what is blocking it. My left tube is moderately blocked with hydrosalpinx and little spillage was seen.

I'm broken because I've taken serrapaptase for 3 months and even one cup each of Chinese teas and flushed. I also did castor massage. Yet tube is still blocked. I've never done surgery of any kind before. I remember I only had infection during my early years which may have been caused thr damage. My marriage is 3 years. Has anyone had this kind of condition and still got pregnant naturally? Pls help me.

Mamas please help a worried and confused sister. DH instead of getting normal Aptamil went to get Aptamil Pronutra+ for our 10 week old baby.

I want to know if it is safe and what is the difference?

Totally normal. Circumcision is very painful but by tomorrow he would be better. No baths for today.

My son got the plastibell. On the first day, it was swollen but not outrageously and the nurse told me to watch it that if it gets bigger or if i notice the ring is really tight, i should come back to the hospital immediately.

Since we can't see to ascertain how swollen it is, pls go back to the hospital or ask an experienced mama around u.

Please, did your son cry a lot too. We had our procedure about 6 hours ago. He did not cry initially. He started crying (high pitched cry) about 2 hours ago and just slept off. Is this normal with the plastibell? Could it be that the ring is too tight?

I am typing in tears Ma. Please respond.

I need a little clarification.

1. I want to know if it's true that dropping breastmilk on a baby's eyes makes the eyes white and guards against infections.
NB: Baby's eyes has no problem.

2. Also, how true is it that dropping breast milk on a baby's circumcised penis will make it heal fast.


Mother -in-law feels it's the best and I have to do it.

I have a newborn and I am currently going through postpartum depression which has weighed me down a lot over the few months. My mother in law is staying with us to help. Now with breastfeeding, it has really not been easy. I am in constant pain, It has physically drained me out and I also thinking it was contributing to my depression. When it’s time for breastfeeding, I would constantly cry and it was making me resent my beautiful child. Sometimes as a new mum you just feel like there’s nothing in the world apart from your breast and your baby, it was making me very miserable along with the other postpartum stress I have to deal with. I was just overwhelmed by everything. So I have decided to give my baby formula and at first I felt bad, but I noticed an immediate relief off my shoulders and my mood began to rise. My husband was also able to help me with feeding and I was just relieved.

Since I’ve started formula feeding my mil has been so abusive towards me. Calling me lazy, saying that I want to do shakara hence why I’m not breastfeeding. Calling me selfish and all sorts all because I don’t want to ‘compromise’ my sanity for breastfeeding. She also speaks in her native language (husband and I are from different tribes) saying all manners of things, all because I have switched to formula. I have discussed this issue with my husband, and he has tried to be supportive however he is just trying to please both of us, and he is encouraging me to do exclusive breastfeeding despite everything that I have been going through. He claims it’s the best for our baby. Now I’m back to square one and I’m just feeling so down, worn out and stressed. I just don’t know what to do.

Post partum depression is not an easy thing to deal with. Is there no other person to help take care of baby now. Let your husband know how you feel. 

I had my baby a month ago and I was battling with breast in supply to my baby....my own mother was not happy abut the fact that I always have a problem when it comes to breast feeding baby. 

I finally decided to use formula along side the little breast milk I was producing. With constant arguments my mum is okay with the formula now.

Part of my post partum depression...my parents are all over Baby cos I am staying with them now....I have been staying with my parents since I was 11 weeks pregnant due to my history.
My parents always want baby to be with them.....I sometimes go 3 days without seeing my baby and anytime I complain it's wahala.

Mom baths baby and when I want us make sure where does not get into boys umbilical cord it becomes big trouble fore me.
I hide in my room and cry my hearts out and starve myself till I told myself I have to move to my own hoise so I feel comfortable and free.

DH comes to my parents and they hesitate to give the baby to him to carry.

Sis please don't kill urself with unecessary pressure. Ur baby needs you

You don't need any negative or bad energy now.  Talk to your husband ...let him understand what you are going through and it's implications. You need to have enough rest and peace of mind so you can eat well and make breastmilk for the baby.

Well it is good to let the doctor check it out but from previous experience I noticed that the edges heal up last. My first cs I panicked and went back for this same thing and d docs just assured me all was healing well. Same happened after my last cs. To ease your mind just get the doctor to take a look at it. God's grace

My sisters,please help me out. I had a caesarian section about 2 weeks ago and looks like a little part of my incision is open at the extreme left.

I plan going to the hospital tomorrow. But can any mum with experience enlighten me on what could probably be done to make the incision ok.

I had my baby 10 days ago... we were discharged on 3 days after birth. I am mix-feeding him as well (water excluded). He did not pooed for 2 days....when he finally pooed it was very hard and small.

With time his stool texture changed and is very regular.

Give her sometime...she will finally do what you wish.

Yeah, just pet him and if he runs temperature give paracetamol. This particular immunization doesn't usually come with much drama, its the next three that are the tough ones. If your son is still not acting okay in 24 hours, take him to the hospital.

My 3 years old daughter was assaulted! She came home with blood stains on her pants. I usually bath her immediately she returns from school and saw it. I immediately checked her vjay lo and behold the idiot finish the place with fingers if you see the picture you will weep for me

I took her straight to children emergency see how nurses were shouting who did this!!! It's serious vandalizing cos she can't urinate without screaming. I've asked her to pls tell me who did it but it seems the person threatened to harm her if she speaks
She's currently doing sitz bath and on antibiotics/pain relief

I'll report the case to the police station with the blood stained pants as evidence plus the photograph of the site, we must get to the root of this!!! so my child cannot go to school in peace again God!!!

It is not a bad thing to wash for a GOOD to be mother-in-law or already mother-in-law.
Most of the time it is never ideal to stay close to both parents after marriage. Today, you can hit your chest and swear you know your mom too well and that she won't cause any problems between you two. Your to be mother-in-law is only trying to protect her daughter from any marital wahala.
I hope you know human beings are prone to change. The probability that your mum might change positively or negatively after marriage is 50 50.
Please note that marriage is not about how well furnished your apartment is. You can have a well furnished apartment and still face issues from different angles.

I also believe your lady's mom should take her time. It's not as easy as she thinks. Try talking to her. Convince her that you will make arrangements to move after marriage.

I strived but submit to God's will, for He knows all. When it was just few weeks left to August 25th. I fell to labour and before I could say Jack, the water gushed out on first Sunday. I was rushed to nearby hospital where I gave birth to my Angel but she only survived few minutes. Everything happened suddenly but thank God I'm alive because the delivery was serious as the baby was brought buttocks first. I lost lot of blood but I survived it all though my baby girl is no more.

I don't know how to handle the loss especially when my b..bs full and no baby to feed. Pray for me pls

Sayoddy,I don't know you personally but you have always been in my thoughts. I understand what you are going through. I pray the good Lord gives you more than enough strength to go through this.
Keep believing that God is not dead and He will surely surprise you.You will surely birth that which is yours.
