carzeem1:He was in opposition, so what did you expect him to do. A party in opposition will prey on the discontentment of citizens, it's the same strategy PDP and LP are using now. Back to GEJ, my point is that, he should have gone ahead with his plan if he knew it was good and dam the consequences. Tinubu did it on day 1, daming anything that follows. A coward wouldn't do it, he would want to endanger reelection. If you have followed Nigerian politics long enough, you would know we are only suffering from decades of failed economic prudence and mismanagement, unpatriotic behavior by both the leaders and the led. |
Trying pave a way into the opposition. APC is getting congested, a shrewd politician seeking relevance will want to pitch their tent with the opposition. You soon see him moving around El Rufai and Atiku. That's his game. |
I was thinking he is talking from prison, only 24 days and you are saying they wanted to silence you. Go and ask Dasuki what's up |
flyinnizam:Chief GEJ saw the evil in subsidy payment, he couldn't remove it, cause I lacked the strength to do it. Tinubu has demonstrated he isn't weak. I don't know how else you want me to say It again. Challenges we face is as a result of years of neglect and failure of leaders taking critical and important decisions |
Streetinvestor2:The constitution gives him the powers to do anything necessary to maintain law and order in case of SOE. It doesn't have to be explicitly stated. Everything must not be written down, it's not ABC. He can simply argue that suspending the Governor and HOA members was necessary, as simple as that. |
If he couldn't then, he can't now. We need leaders with balls of steel |
Even with 1man advantage, they no still fit grind draw comot for this match? Manure is finished. Make I laugh

DMerciful:Tell that to OBJ who had to kneel down and bed Atiku his then VP just to get the PDP ticket in 2003. Having an over ambitious VP, someone like elrufai or Atiku is a cancer. While as Governor, he wasn't content, he was busy parading the Villa trying to undermine Osinbajo, scheming to become de facto VP, until Buhari told him to face his work. You guys are playing with fire, you just don't know it yet. |
Mrexcell:That's opposition for you. It's just politics |
Mrexcell:While you see it as hardship, others see it as a necessary step towards a better tomorrow. Every economic policy he has made are things that should have been done decades ago. Let's tell ourselves the truth for once. |
IyfeNamikaze:I never said Buhari winning majority of votes in his domain wasn't bigotry and even if it were so, he never claimed 90 percent votes like obi did. Same thing with Abiola, same bigotry. Saving money in bank account is not achievement, and maybe you forgot about the Pandora papers. Go and read about your Saint https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/487997-pandora-papers-inside-peter-obis-secret-businesses-and-how-he-broke-the-law.html?tztc=1 |
PresidObi:Running wild on what? Twitter ko? I wouldn't doubt that, infact I captured it in my analysis. |
Judolisco:💯% facts |
You guys are forgetting the fact that most people voted for PO out of fear of Muslim Muslim ticket. It wasn't out of any love or his ability to lead. It wouldn't be so this time around. 2. He can't unite sh**t, if he could then LP wouldn't be in such a disarray. If he is incapable of uniting a small party, what makes you think he can unite diverse opposition parties and interests. You think people like Elrufai and Atiku are moving up and down because of love for Nigeria? It is their personal interest obi can't handle those men. They would control him. 3. The youths clamouring for Obi, mostly are first time voters, GenZ, they just follow trends, most of them just accept the disinformation spread all round by Obidients without verifing the facts or make research. So i don't see a change in that voter demography. In the 10 to 20 years, these Genz would become the majority, that's when his best opportunity may arise. For now I doubt it. 3. Lock down a region? Wth how many votes? If not out of Bigotry, Nepotism, tribalism, then Obi couldn't have gotten over 95% votes in the South East. They voted for him, not because he was the best, as most of them who witnessed his time as Governor testified, but because of fear of MUMU ticket, perceived injustice in power sharing, and hate for the Yoruba people. You guys should just for one be honest just for once, no one is going to hold it against you for wanting a South Eastern to also hold the office of president. But the paint job done on OBI was beyond comprehension. I mean the guy is basically average, but they made it look as though he has two heads, the alpha and omega who can handle all problems besetting the country. SE folks spent so much time and resources in laundrying Obi's image. Infact he is amazed at the outcome he feels it's organic love. That explains the reason why he keep moving up and down attending events and capitalizing on people's grief, just to remain relevant.Who knew him B4 2019, does organic love start during elections? If he has organic votes, he should stay in one place, the votes will always be for him regardless. Buhari is a testament to this fact. The man came out once every 4 years, but still had the same votes. Obi was unknown even after the 2019 elections, what brought him to lime light was MUMu ticket, social media campaign against Tinubu, which was amplified by Christian leaders across the country. That should explain why he couldn't amass then same votes in non Christian dominated states. I was returning from Abuja prior to the elections, a guy just stood up and started preaching, next was how the plan was to Turn everyone in Nigeria into a Muslim should Tinubu wins. That was the message that gave him most of his votes not any organic love Now that fear is no longer there, he is left wth the GenZ twitter, Facebook, tiktok users and his SE votes. |
Agbegbaorogboye:Check it yourself bro. If the two changes what makes you feel the NC wouldn't |
Agbegbaorogboye:Simple research would be enough. NE and NW had close to 13million votes in 2019 in 2023 it was just above 10million votes. |
Agbegbaorogboye:Difference in Northern Votes between 2019 and 2023 was due to BVAS, recheck your data |
Obi CBN President op no kill me with laugh. |
Klington:Short term memory. Have you forgotten when Buhari removed Justice Ohnegen from office? It was called witch-hunt by his tribes men. |
ProudlyLagos:That's to tell you that a vast number of obi's supporters know virtually nothing, research is far from them, just incoherent hypothesis every now and then |
No combination or Permutation can win the presidential election for those two. Atiku over over estimates himself, he feels Nigerians owe him the presidency, hence he contest even when power sharing formula doesn't favor him. He is solely responsible for the rot in PDP, his ambition has brought more harm than good to the party. His inability to manage diverse opinions that doesn't align with his means he would forever remain an aspirant. That's his Major undoing as for Obi, is the fact that his kinfolks potray him as a saint, the Holiest of holy, a Man without blemish, makes it nauseating. I mean everyone has a past, mistakes are made, man up, take responsibility, but no, they make him a saint while still living. You don't see Atiku spend so much time denying stealing public funds while in office, via privatization and other schemes probably nor Tinubu denying having narcotics case in the US. Not saying any of those things are good anyway, but a pretence is something deadly. And that's what Obi does Those who subscribe to this image laundry are people who are easily influenced, bereft of critical thinking, research and easily swayed by silly stunts. Obi will not be getting that office. Atiku can try again in 2031 when the South might have completed their 8 years in power |
israelmao:I beg to differ. |
israelmao:Answer to what question? Certainly not the Nigerian Question, maybe SE question. |
Vinnie2000:Watching what exactly, for the next tragedy to occur so I can pay a visit. That's his stock and trade, posing as a savior. How many IDPs, religious gathering, funerals did he visit prior to 2019, he was literally sitting in his house when Atiku picked him up. He should return from the Vatican, where he has gone for another publicity stunt and continue his visit. |
ogaemma:It's not the man's fault that opposition parties can't hold themselves together. Stop blaming BAT, selfishness of our politicians is just the reason, not Tinubu |
Let's do this by the numbers, comparison between 2019 elections results and 2023 taking into consideration votes cast across the regions. It should help demystify some thoughts. North Central: 2019: 4,601,123 2023: 4,564,351 North East: 2019: 4,582,072 2023: 3,435,741 North West: 2019: 8,423,389 2023: 6,690,622 South East: 2019: 2,220,756 2023: 2,224,934 South South: 2019: 3,355,081 2023: 2,857,640 South West: 2019: 4,142,162 2023: 4,253,442 Data taken from Wikipedia. From the data above you can easily notice that with proper accreditation, the core north Voting strength is just a myth. The region suffered the most difference in Total valid votes cast across the two elections. North Central does not necessarily follow the voting patterns from the Core north, an example can be seen in 2011 elections, where GEJ performance in the core north was poor, but performed better in NC. |
You can smell the lies from a distance. As a Judge you take your orders from the Constitution of the Federal Republic and all laws made by National Assembly, not a Governor or anyone else. Anyone buying this bull crap story needs their head checked |
Karlovych:Did anyone prevent Azikiwe from owning a Newspaper? ![]() Him for spread him own propaganda also na. |
obayendo1010:Their behavior is same as that of a typical Nigerian Lady. |
They want to threaten this New Guy, look at the tone of the letter. NPC is now a limited liability company, not Civil Service. If I were the new GCEO I will prepare their sack letter first. What nonsense |
Creamypie:The constitution guarantees free movement of people within the country, no Governor of president has the power to ban any Lawful movement. |
