Travel › Re: My Experience At Inagbe Grand Resorts & Leisure Lagos (pictures Included) by asha01: 4:02pm On Aug 02, 2017 |
Wakaholic: I had an amazing experience with the happiest people on earth when we escaped from the hustle and bustle of the City of Lagos, to the charming Inagbe Grand Resorts & Leisure set on the serene banks of the magnificent Lagos Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean.
This beautiful resort is a hidden paradise located on Inagbe Island, which is about 15mins boat ride from Victoria Island. We set out from the Regatta Jetty on Queens Drive (now Oyinkan Abayomi Drive) in Ikoyi area of Lagos on a charter boat and had a memorable experience exploring this stunning resort which captures the essence of nature, culture and tradition.
Pros
Customer service here is top-notch. On a scale of 1 to 10, they rate an easy 9. From the refined and warm welcome we received from the staff when we arrived at the VIP Jetty, to their cheerful attitude and willingness to assist, as well as timely response to issues.Worthy of commendation is the amazing Yinka who assisted us throughout our stay. She was pleasant and attended to our needs which included answering every question we had and taking numerous pictures of us at every angle we thought necessary…(Lol) She also checked on us first thing in the morning to inquire where we would prefer to have breakfast. The staff here are pleasant, courteous and cheerful. The resort is beautiful and peaceful. The view of the lagoon from the ‘floating bar’ and watching the sun set is a fascinating experience every visitor should have. The food was great. We had a buffet specially arranged for us at the ‘floating bar’ and we got complimentary coconut drinks. Now, that was something… We also had complimentary breakfast in the morning and that was great too.
Cons
The rooms require attention to details and proper maintenance. We checked into a two bedroom chalet that had a terrible smell. We returned to our apartment about 10pm and discovered that the tap wasn’t running. The intercom wasn’t working so we had to walk all the way to the reception to get help. Eventually we were upgraded to the six bedroom apartment shortly before midnight. I slept like a baby; my room had the ocean view so I woke up to the calmness and peace of the environment. Wifi was free but very poor. More pictures can be found on my travel blog. Yea, Inagbe Grand Resorts is a nice place but i had same experience sometime back, then the gen set was a mess, tripping off now and then, room facilities not functioning. we had cause to inspect again for another outing the situation was same, so we cancelled. hope they have improved now. |

Business › Re: My Encounter With A GTB Staff by asha01: 1:16pm On Jun 13, 2017 |
Manson1: Morning nlanders I will try to make my story very brief....
I Went to make a fix deposit of about #500,000 last week at GTbank then I received a call the next day from the staff that helped me in opening the fixed deposit account that he will like to see me the next day which was on Saturday. He described his place of residence to me and I went to see him. He told me that a friend of his that is about traveling abroad wants to sell his car that he needed about #160,000 to add to wot he has now and since I came to make a fix deposit he felt I won't be using the money now and I should pls borrow him and he would pay back in 2months time. Although I made it clear to him that I cnt do such a thing moreover u work in a bank and can easily take a loan which from there u would be paying bit by bit. Pls my question now is does he have access to take my money without my permission?? so long as u have the contract letter for the fixed deposit, you do not have any problem. if he tries anything funny, the bank will pay your money upon presentation of the letter. from past experience, in 1 of d dead banks... the guy was busy collecting cash from customers for fixed deposit and giving them letters and living large with the cash. when the bubble busted and the guy left the bank, the customers were coming with the letters to collected their monies that were never deposited in the bank, but without the contract letter, you are on your own if the guy did not fix the money. |

xcellinking: Fellow NLers please I need your take on this. I currently have a full time job - a career building kinda job. However, after a CBT TEST with Zenith Bank for job offer which I only learnt on the CBT Test day that it's a contract job, I was called for an interview but I rescheduled the interview due to pressing tasks at my current workplace.
Meanwhile, as I wait for the call back, I want to know the pros and cons of this. Should I leave my present job for it? it is best for you to stick to your career driven job. you will be frustrated with Zenith Bank contract job, speaking from experience. |

Man fleeing London attack with beer in hand becomes unlikely symbol of London pride
A young man who fled yesterday's terrorist attacks with a pint of beer in hand has become something of an internet hero.
The photo, which has been retweeted over 28,000 times, features the man fleeing from the scene with a pint of beer in hand. For some, the photo provided a moment of profoundly dark comedy on a day otherwise entirely colored by tragedy. this is.... Till death do us part .. na only death go separate this 1 from the beer. lol |
