rioemmanuel: Dont bother your self,I can bet the calls are from your ex
Even if it's an ex, how childish, cowardly and desperate can such a person be?

Jerryolumide: try calling call center and tell them your ordeal maybe they'll be able to help you
Thanks a lot. I'll try that.
PhonesHow Does One Uncover A Hidden Phone Number From Anonymous Callers? by Asher79(op): 2:18pm On Sep 19, 2014
Some folks can really be very pesky. How does someone hide their caller identify and keep on flashing you by the second? This faceless fellow has so pestered me to the point where I can hardly achieve an uninterrupted activity by the space of 5 seconds. Could such a person be a stalker?

Please is there a way to uncover the hidden number? Can somebody help me and tell me what to do before I lose my mind?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Rivers State Teachers Recruitment 2012 by Asher79: 5:27am On Sep 17, 2014
Fiafiad: please, this is not aguement. There is nothing to correct in that sentense. By the way, i said market and not school. “people goes to market“. This is past continues tens. We can only use “go to school“, in prsent tens.
Let somebody who know‘s better, come and prove me wrong, then, i will accept my mistake.
Oga Fiafiad, no vex o-ooo! The grammaticality of your SENTENCE actually has nothing to do with TENSE; but rather, it has to do with simple GRAMMATICAL CONCORD, which, in other words, simply means SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT. If the SUBJECT of a sentence is singular, the corresponding VERB of that sentence also must be singular. If the subject is plural, the corresponding verb must also be plural. 'People' is plural in the sense you used it in your sentence. 'Goes' is not a plural verb but a singular verb in English grammar. So then, 'People goes to market' is unfortunately ungrammatical and equally unacceptable in English grammar. The correct expression should have been 'People go to the market.'

I think there is no need to start another heated argument now because most of our colleagues would be more interested in receiving information regarding the payment of their August salary than grammatical correctness. However, as teachers, it is my personal opinion that we should never be above correction and learning, because nobody has the prerogative of knowledge.

Please let's not derail the thread.

Lemon1: Good morning all , please are schools in rivers state still going to open on the 22nd??
Yea, that is a more likely certainty. Latest news has it that the FG and Nigerian Medical Association have agreed on the September 22nd resumption date for both public and private primary and secondary schools. So, you might as well brace up for it.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Addresses The Whole Media Hype And Lies by Asher79: 12:58pm On Sep 08, 2014
What else should any rationally sane person expect from this fake who calls himself god of men (ooh... Sorry, man of God)?

What else can any morally sound person expect from a pastor who blatantly refused to return funds stolen and donated to his church?

What else should be expected from a man who told his brainwashed, hell-bound members that masturbation is not sin?

What else should be expected from a man who ordains people as pastors and deacons/deaconesses, simply because they donated large sums of money to his church?

A lie may easily be crafted and spread with glamour and razzmatazz only for a season, but the truth sure knows how and when to rear its ugly head. And when that day comes, I'll be waiting to see how this con-artist does his damage control.

marcodura: Late news: state personal audit for ONELGA @ County High School Ahoada on Mönday 18th Sept., '14. Exclusively for the new teachers.
Maybe you should check your calendar again, because 18th September, 2014 is on a Thursday and not on a Monday. By the way, what's the personnel audit about?
CultureRe: What Is Wrong In Being Black? by Asher79: 7:30am On Aug 06, 2014
When you say 'being black,' do you mean just the colour of my skin or the quality of mind and the content of my character, or both? Do I like the colour of my skin? Oh, absolutely yes! If I have to go by the biblical account of creation, that all human races can be traced all the way back to Adam and Eve, then I love my skin all the more, because Adam simply means 'dark earth,' and man was formed from the dust of the ground; meaning that the black skin is the original skin. If you've ever read that 'Africa is the cradle of man's origin,' then you'd understand how true it is when you look at the world map and see how centralized the map of Africa is. The map of the world is like a jig-saw puzzle. Take a good look at it and you'd see how well other continents would fit in if they were placed alongside the map of Africa. And don't forget too, that Africa is also said to be 'the cradle of man's civilization'. But it'd seem like down the centuries, Africans, indeed the black race, refused to keep developing their minds unlike the other races. Life itself is naturally dynamic and complex. In order to keep up with those complexities, people have to be very dynamic and sophisticated in dealing with those vicissitudes of life. And I think that's exactly where the black race fell short, whereas other races made remarkable progress. What the black man has in physical prowess, he lacks very woefully in rigorous mental exertion. He's never dynamic in his thinking and way of reasoning. Never sees his challenges as an opportunity waiting to be harnessed to get to the next level; rather, he sees them as controlled by some spiritual entities he has to appease with some sacrifices in order to be free from his challenges. So, he does not attempt to make any meaningful research into the problem so as to fully grasp the nature of it and come up with possible solutions which might lead to some inventions and innovations. Therefore, his entire life is just static. We are our own problem and not the whites. Until we rise up and break the shackles off of our minds, we will continue in slavery to other races. Look at our so-called leaders, they travel to some of the best places in the world only to discover the best houses to buy, the best cars to buy, the best hospitals to go to, so that when they get back to Nigeria they'd steal enough money to acquire the products of other people's (races) mental endeavour, instead of thinking of how to replicate those things in their own country. So then, I like the colour of my skin, but I hate the quality of mind!
EducationRe: Whats The Secret Behind Speaking Good English? by Asher79: 7:14pm On Aug 04, 2014
Well, I think you already have the answers you were looking for. But permit me to add a few tips to some of the reasonable suggestions made here. 1. If your English will come good, you have to metaphorically strap on some error-sieving earpiece. This is because our socio-linguistic environment discourages the use of and improvement on good English. Sloppy use of English words is very prevalent in Nigeria. The moment you code-switch to good English, a lot of folks begin to hate on you and even boldly tell you to your face that 'u dey blow plenty grammar,' or 'u dey fonè'. 2. You have to try as much as you can to live in the Nigerian socio-linguistic culture as though you were not. In other words, you have to be firm, consistent and even defiant in your use of good English. But don't sound highfalutin (Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon is an example you must not copy). The beauty of language lies more in simplicity than in the use of 'fancy words'. The overuse of 'fancy words' may land you in grammatical hot waters. And you don't want to sound unEnglish. 3. Never compromise the use of good English, no matter what! Stick to the standard usage. Last but not the least, with all due respect to you, English grammar does not permit errors such as double use of comparatives, e.g. 'more easier,' 'more better,' nor the use of double superlatives, e.g. 'most happiest,' 'most richest'. It is rather 'much easier,' 'much better' and just simply 'the happiest' and 'the richest'. Stay blessed.
RomanceRe: My Hubby Is Emotionally Mean by Asher79: 7:35am On Aug 01, 2014
It's really so unfortunate you're experiencing such. But you weren't really holistic in presenting the issue; rather, you were one-sided. Not to play the devil's advocate here, but I think you must have so upset your hubby. Instead of branding him the way you did, you should look for the best means to communicate with him and settle your differences. Marriage is not a bed of roses; that's because the two people involved are not a species of flowering plants. Work it out, girl!
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Army To Get New Uniforms by Asher79: 10:57am On Jul 31, 2014
So, by changing the army uniform in order to ''look smarter and better,'' Boko Haram will now be scared of the Nigerian Army, abi? And that, perhaps, will also put a final stop to terrorism and insurgency, shebi? Father house dey burn, him dey pursue rat. My hunch tells me that the change of uniform duds is another money-embezzling strategy. Period.
PoliticsRe: So, General Buhari Tried To Kill Himself? by Asher79: 7:56pm On Jul 28, 2014
Looking at the effusively biased comments emanating from individuals on this tread, there need not be any empirical evidence to prove that Nigeria is very far from attaining her deliverance from those that trouble her. Even if God were to personally send a messiah to salvage what is left of this beleaguered landscape, such a messiah would, no doubt, be more weary and afraid of ethno-religious zealots in Nigerians than s/he will be of the hydra-headed problems s/he would confront. When we fail to realize that neither Buhari nor Jonathan is the sole problem of Nigeria; when we fail to realize that backwardness, underdevelopment, corruption, total disregard for the human person, abject poverty, bomb blast, etc, do not tribe and tongue discriminate - our freedom from all the evil that easily beset us is nothing but an endless mirage.

Fiafiad: Information reaching me indicate that the payment of our salary arrears will possibly commens at the end of this month.
Yeah, I also heard that from a reliable insider at the Board. I tried to inquire the number of months that will be paid each month, and the insider said it'll be one month each, which will spread across seven months, since we're being owed seven months arrears. And the same will be applicable to those who had one problem or the other with their accounts, which has made it difficult for them to receive their salaries when others did. All the same, it sounds good, but all we can do is to keep hope alive and believe that everything will be sorted out very soon. Have a great day, y'all!

Hahahaha...! Babe, I think it's too sudden to launch the opening salvo (oops! Sorry for d ''big grammar''), seeing that the dude made just a benign suggestion. It's high time we all buried the hatchet, unite on a common front, while looking forward to brighter days ahead. By the way, ''big grammar,'' I guess, is also one of the hazards of the teaching profession. Cheers and happy Sunday!
