Personally, this lady obviously didn't think things through before embarking on publicly humiliating herself. You knew full well that that guy wasn't into you as much as you were into him. So, why did you decide to make such a public spectacle of yourself? How on earth did you think that you could possibly lure him into loving you back by spending your money on him? As far as I'm concerned, you were simply manipulating him. Period. So, quit your emotional blackmail. Money can't buy love. ediko5: |
I've observed your comments on this platform for a while now and you are deluded to think of yourself as one with the monopoly of verbal nuisance, as well as one who has chosen to bend the truth of the terrible misgovernance of T-Pain's (mal) administration of the country. You can only hide behind your online monicker but you cannot hide from natural justice for too long. Your comments alone speak to that fact. It's only a matter of time. helinues: |
Wike, the reason you did all that you claimed you did for Odili was because he and his wife were very instrumental to your second tenure electoral victory in court, which you actually lost to a relatively unknown Awara, who against all odds gave you nightmares. You, the same loudmouthed Wike, went to do thanksgiving service in church where you testified in front of television cameras that if it weren't for the Odilis who gave you all the connections in judicial circles, you were already a goner. Oga try to be humble small, you hear? fergie001: |

This soullessly bland speech barely scratched the surface to address frontally the main causes of the #EndBadGovernance protest. He didn't say what and how he would do to tackle the following burning national issues: #Hunger #HyperInflation #Insecurity #OverbloatedCabinet #HighCostOfGovernance #DeeplyEntrenchedCorruption #ElectoralReforms #FuelSubsidy #ElectricityTariff This speech really shows that there's definitely no hope in the horizon. Business still remains as usual. Wisdomkosi: |
This opata you just spewed truly epitomises your monicker on NL. Only a confirmed zombie talks like you. You are not from Rivers State and you are obviously clueless about the happenings in the state. Need I even tell you that one of the reasons Wike tried to have Governor Sim impeached was the fact that the incumbent Governor Sim promoted Rivers State civil servants at all levels - a lofty achievement which Wike failed abysmally in during his 8-year tenure of constantly impoverishing Rivers people? 14. "I have said before, there is no price too much to pay for peace. And with the realization that the worst peace is better than the best war, we will strive to make peace with all segments and interest groups without surrendering our freedom nor jeopardizing the interest and well-being of the good people of Rivers State who graciously entrusted us with their cherished mandate." You see ehh, anyone who really understands communication would easily see that Governor Sim isn't in anyway backing down in this fight. He looks docile to the undiscerning but to those who can see, the man is a smart guy, who chooses his battles carefully. And from what I see, he will finish his first tenure and absolutely nothing will happen to him. He is gathering a great deal of support and momentum. The tide is in his favour. The only loser here is the the one who huffs and puffs empty smoke from his bile acid infested croaky throat. |

Oh, well, it's a great thing that you kept your dignity intact by refusing to compromise your spirituality, faith and conscience. It's definitely not an easy place to be in. However, there are ways you could have held that ode of a boss to his balls without making any compromise or even losing your job in the process, but rather keep the stupid goat on his knees for as long as you wished. You could have used available technology to covertly film him. All it takes is to hatch a well-thought-out plan to set him up for his mighty downfall. This is where reverse blackmail comes in handy. But I'm not sure such an idea ever crossed your mind, or even if it did, you just didn't have the will to go through the trouble to protect yourself and your job. But all the same, kudos to you. Best wishes. Sixfiguresmart: |
castro4u:From the Punch Facebook Page: FG, states, LGAs shared N616.8bn in April —FAAC The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee on Friday said it shared a total of N616.886bn as April 2021 revenue to the Federal, States and Local Governments as well as other relevant agencies in Nigeria. What is old about the news? You mean last week's protest organized by Labour is old news? Mr Bismarck granted an interview to Channels TV only last week in the wake of the minimum wage protest at the National Assembly, and you say it's old news? ![]() Chiringogirl: |
Expect which minimum wage? From whom? From a governor who is diametrically opposed to the minimum wage being on the exclusive list in the constitution? Did you hear his recent speech on the new minimum wage? Chiringogirl: |
FG, STATES HAVE RESOURCES TO PAY MINIMUM WAGE - REWANE Bismarck Rewane, chairman of the Presidential Technical Advisory Committee on the Implementation of the National Minimum Wage (PTAC), on Thursday, said both the Federal Government and state governments had no excuses not to pay the N30,000 minimum wage as they had the capacity to conveniently do so if they were willing. Rewane, an economic and financial expert, disclosed this while featuring as a guest on Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’ monitored by Daily Independent. Nigerian workers, under the umbrella of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), had staged a nationwide protest, kicking against the plan by both the Federal and state governments to freely negotiate the minimum wage with their workers in line with the nation’s federal system. About a fortnight ago, the House of Representatives introduced a bill which, according to the sponsor, Hon. Garba Mohammed, would create room for a free negotiation of the minimum wage with federal and state workers in line with the nation’s federal system. But the workers stressed that it was an attempt by some state governors and members of the National Assembly to short-change them. According to Rewane, who is the Chief Executive Officer, Financial Derivatives Company Limited, the minimum wage law signed by the President in April 2019 made it a crime for anyone who employs more than five people to pay less than N30,000 minimum wage both in the public and private sector. He also added that the revenues of most states of the federation had gone up by hundred percent just as the minimum wage was also increased from N18,000 to N30,00. He said: “The law that the President signed in 2019 after our team submitted our report was that everybody in Nigeria, public or private sector, that employs more than five people must pay a minimum wage of N30,000 a month to its workers. “And that anybody who pays less than N30,000 a month to any group of people of five and above is committing a crime as far as the National Minimum Wage Law is concerned. “On the issue of whether it is law that should be passed by the federal or state does not arise. As of today, it is a federal law and it is binding on all citizens, both in the private and public sector. “The willingness to pay is the issue. Even if you have billions of naira and you refuse to pay, that will be your own prerogative. But that cannot be allowed. You will be committing a crime according to the Nigerian statute. “The oil producing states were getting N9 billion a month but now are getting N18 billion a month; that is a hundred percent increase. If you go to the others who do not have oil, Imo State was getting N3 billion a month in 2017; Imo State is now getting about N5 billion a month in 2019. In other words, inspite of the fact that the minimum wage has increased from N18,000 to N30,000, their revenue profile has improved by a substantially more amount than their wage bill has increased. “So, both the states and the Federal Government have the ability to pay and that has been provided for in the Appropriation Act of 2019, 2020, and 2021. “In spite of the pandemic, you’ll find out that the profile of the revenues of the Nigerian government, both at the federal and state levels, is much more improved because subsidies have reduced, VAT has increased, and also there are lots of cost reflective tariffs that have increased.” While justifying the protest by the workers, Rewane said Nigerians needed to know how the governors had been utilising the revenues accruing to them both in the state and the federal monthly allocations. “The question is, what do you now do with the money you have earned? Nigerian people are interrogating and saying we want to know how you have used the money to improve education, healthcare, and other facilities for the people to get a benefit. “It is important to set the records straight for anyone who says that the states don’t have the resources to pay. The states have the resources to pay and can meet the obligation if they are willing to do it.” https://www.independent.ng/fg-states-have-resources-to-pay-minimum-wage-rewane/ |
Well, point of correction: Former President Jonathan contested and won the 2011 presidential election but lost to the incumbent president in the 2015 presidential election. By the way, why is it that all that the political class of this country is concerned about is just power shift to the north or south? The British colonialists came here and plundered our land and bequeathed us with this divide-and-rule political arrangement, and since then we have been so deeply engrossed in fighting to preserve the arrangement instead of breaking free from it and forging a better national political ideology and arrangement for our country. Na who do us dis tin? Islie: |

ChyChy17:More than that, WAEC is a regional body, with 5-member West African countries. The HQ is in Accra Ghana. My only concern is: why does our government think that it is safer to conduct elections in two states (Edo and Ondo) with a combined figure of 4 million registered voters, whereas the total number of registered candidates for WAEC is not even up to 2 million all over the country? While billions of naira will be wasted conducting some sham elections for their own personal gains, they just can't afford to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for students across the country. Such is the trajectory of our political space. Sad and unfortunate. |
