larger_20: Locations matters when u take jamb. Some locations are known to do expo hence always lead to seizing of the canditates result. Shine your eyes well well and take exams in centers without problems,
as far as study goes, just sit your ass down and study. Jamb is tricky but if u understand their trick, you're get to go. Most jamb questions can be answered in seconds if u know the short cuts especially maths
Regards study assistant, jamb brochure comes with details of what u need to study or know. So i suggest u study the subjects well, get jamb past questions papaers . Good luck.
I did my jamb one short, got 7As and 2 credit in my WAEC and got 8As and one C in my NECO, I got addmission in Futo but at the same time, I regected my addmision becasue Iscored 1350 in my SAT1 one combined score so i left for US for a greener pasture. This is not a talent show so i am wondering why u kept you whole life history on here. Ps: i scored higher thanyou in the SAT's - 1470 Baby. |
Career › Re: Is It Advisable For A Fresh Graduate To Take A Job Of 5000 Naira Per Month? by ashewo(m): 6:09pm On Aug 03, 2007 |
texazzpete: someone posted something about a job, he didn't see fit to provide more info about himself and his qualifications etc and hasn't even contributed to the discussion. i for one am of the opinion that the guy's just a rabble rouser looking for some cheap popularity.
anyway, just in case you really mean it, i don't agree with y'all that advocate his taking the job, or working without pay. working without pay is only an option if there's a clear indication that you'll get something out of it. as a graduate, taking 5k a month is definitely selling yourself short, it's self abasement on an astronomicl scale to stoop that low. I mean, it's a lot better to sell recharge cards or take photos, at least then you know you're your own boss.
develop yourself and persevere. that's my advice. Why would you think he is a rabble rouser looking for some cheap popularity.?? He may not have had access to the internet, you know they way niaja is?? |

texazzpete: My Scary story. . . February 1st 2004, Umuahia, Abia state. I was doing my NYSC at that time and Manchester United were playing Arse-Anal. As a staunch Man Utd fan, that was a match i couldn't have missed. I was staying in The Catholic Corpers Lodge, and also moonlighting at a guest house with a friend of mine. the guest house was like 300metres from the 'Viewing centre' The match started at about 10:30pm, if you know Umuahia you'd know that the roads are empty at around 8pm, so by this time the road was empty, but there were over 20 people in the viewing centre so i felt it was pretty safe. . . The match ended 3-0 or 3-1, after 12 midnight, it ended on my birthday (feb 2nd, my best birthday present!!!), so i started going home. to my profound horror, i found out that all those people there were all off duty okada men, they zoomed off on their okadas and left me alone on that dark road. I jogged down to the guest house, pounded on the gate. i'd forgotten they lock the gate by 12 midnight and they don't ever open it until 6am. I knock tire, no answer. I didnt carry my phone because of fear of theft. So i started jogging the 1km distance to the Catholic Corpers lodge
Scare #1 100m down the road, a police pick up[ pulled up beside me, 2 cops jumped out and levelled their Mark IVs at my head! I nearly shit myself. They roughly demanded to know who i was and where was i going? i told 'em i was a corper and i went to watch the match, and that i was heading to the Corpers Lodge. They asked me to reach into my pocket slowly and brin gout my ID card. I did that and gave it to them. One now asked the other one to search me. i'd forgotten that earlier that day i had won a big pocket knife in the Guinness promo and it was still in my back pocket. COme and see the look on their face when they pulled out this wicked looking pen knife. I hastily explained that i won it from the promo. The guy looked at me fo rlike 1 minute (almost shat myself once again) before telling me to go home. i speedily complied!!
Scare #2 About 600m down the road, i was already recovering from the poilce scare when i started really getting scared about how quiet and ghostly the whole place was. all the tales i'd been hearing on flesh-eating cannibals and kidnappers/ritualists started surfacing. it didn't help when i jogged past a house and saw an old woman raking leaves together and burning them. What kind of person would be burning leaves at 12:30am? And she looked so witch-like. the next house had like 3 youths outside talking in hushed tones. all fell silent and watched me jog pass. I come dey fear, come dey regret say i go watch match that day. The next thing i knew, something moving very very fast flew just above my head. you know the kind of noise and disturbance u feel/hear when someone throws a stone very close to your ear? that's what it felt like. But this was somethin gmuch faster and silent. Every single hair on my body (from my head to my nearly hairless ass) stood on end. see d kind fear wey catch me, eh? I didn't wait to see if it was a bird, an arrow or a low-flying witch. I kicked my palm slippers ahead of me, caught them midair (in a move even Jet-Li couldnt have done) and took to my heels. I'm pretty sure i averaged 50mph!! Even worse, i was running uphill and my heart was pounding like crazy.
Scare #3 I got to the corpers lodge, everyone was sleeping. . .! I nearly renounced Manchester United then and there!
I hammered on the gate and someone finally woke up, where i was led, shaking and gibbering some incomprehensible stuff about witches and policemen and Arrows and bakassi boys. . . the only thing they could make of this was that Man Utd won
And that's my worst scare ever! Funnnniest thread ever!!!! I laughs so tey, water begin they commot for my nose , |

outlaws:
 Back to topic:
This seemed scary but it wasn't. While I was working at a store alone between 12-2am. A man came into the store, I walked behind the counter and asked him how I can help him. He looked down and put a note on the counter. The note states something like, "give me $50 and hurry." He put his hands in his pockets. There were three cameras rolling in the store. At first I didn't know what to do, I had to think fast so I acted like I was going to give him the money, opened the register, slamed it back and picked the phone on the side and dialed 911[US. Emergency number].
He looked at me and said, "you shouldn't have done that."He took off.
Two police cars came by and the officers said they didn't find any one around. It was in the news that the same man or similar person robbed other stores the same night. The same day, around 4-5am, a guy came in the store stole a lot food and drinks and took off. Called police again, one of the same guys showed up again and said that he didn't see any one.
I decided that If this was to happen again I wouldn't call the police. I didn't want to shoot any one, so I got a tear gas online. Get ready that the next thief that will dare to do what the first person did will regret his life that way. I waited for weeks, months and no one came. I gave up waiting for the robbers and quit the job. I am guessing u work at a gas station or something, I have a friend taht works there too and its really dangerous and scarey!! well, take it easy and God will b with you.! Preacher leaves. |
