According to the release, the Chairman of the Board of trustees of the PDP, Tony Anenih has been appointed the national campaign adviser, while a former National Chairman of the PDP, Ahmadu Ali, will serve as the Director-General of the campaign organisation.
A former minister, Tunde Adeniran, will serve as the deputy director general of the campaigns’ head office, while the duo of Special Duties Minister, Kabiru Turaki and ex Anambra governor, Peter Obi, will serve as Deputy Directors-General for north and south respectively.
A former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, is the Director of Media and Publicity, while former Information Minister, Jerry Gana, heads the campaign’s contact and mobilization unit.
Other members of the campaign team include former minister of information, Aliyu Umar, who will head the directorate of administration and logistics, while ex-Minister and Senator, Nenadi usman, will head the finance directorate.
Former Senator Nimi Amange will head the directorate of Planning, Research and Statistics, the directorate of security and intelligence will be headed by Emmanuel Imohe, and Youth Mobilisation by PDP’s National Youth leader, Abdullahi Maibasira.
The release also shows that Nick Eze will head the directorate of Civil Society and Support groups, while Becky Igwe will head that of Women mobilization.

Two Nigerian businessmen are currently standing trial before an Accra circuit court presided over by Francis Obiri, in Ghana, for their alleged involvement in a narcotics network.

Samuel Eloka Okeke and David Kalu Okoro were arrested with three bags of whitish substances believed to be cocaine and two bottles of liquid also suspected to a narcotic. Both were charged with conspiracy to commit crime to wit unlawful undertaking relating to narcotic drugs and undertaking prohibited business.

Obiri remanded them in jail until November 25, pending a ruling on a bail application put in by the accused persons.

According to reports, the two were arrested following an intelligence report that some Nigerians living in Ghana were engaged in narcotic drug activities at their residence at Ashaley Botwe in Accra.

A raid on the residence uncovered three bags of whitish substance and two bottles of liquid found in Okoro’s room. He was arrested alongside two other Nigerians whom he said were his visitors.

According to DSP Dery, Okeke said Okoro was his errand boy.

Prosecution said investigation indicated that Okoro distributed the drugs on behalf of Okeke, suspected to be the head of the drug trafficking network in Ghana.

Okeke was picked up after he was traced to his hideout at Dodowa.

Okeke, however, denied knowledge of the drugs but stressed that he authorised Okoro to drive his visitors around for sight-seeing.
