A 55year old man identified as Mr. Chigozie, from Abia state has been apprehended for continually taking advantage of his 12years old daughter, newsline9ja.com reports.


The business man was apprehended this morning 12th February, 2021 by concerned youths in his neighborhood after they heard Precious (not real name) crying every morning. On getting to the house to know what always made the little girl to cry, the girl gathered the courage to reveal to the neighbor youths that, her father has been sleeping with her against her wish since her mother left the house.


After being interrogated by the youths why he committed such act, newsline9ja.com gathered that, Mr. Chigozie slept with his daughter because he finds it difficult to woo a woman.


"I know I have committed abomination that can end me in jail. I started sleeping with my daughter after her mother left me 3years ago and since then, I have always find it difficult to approach and woo any woman of my choice. Whenever I want to sleep with her, I always used condom because I don't want her to get pregnant for me and I was the one that deflowered her" Chigozie said.


After he made a confessional statement and accepted of committing the outrageous act, Chigozie was thereafter handed over to the police for subsequent investigations.

The popular Nollyhood actor, Yul Edochie has obtained his father's blessings as well as endorsement to contest for the president of Nigeria in 2023, Newsline9ja.com reports.

In a world like ours plagued by so much calamities, catastrophes, injustices, wars, insecurities, diseases and sicknesses, many are going through serious moments of insomnia; troubled both in the physical, emotional, psychological, even spiritual. In such situations, many lost their hope and faith and begin to ask certain questions like Job in the first reading (Job 7:1-4.6-7), in fact they are not sure what the next step in life carries.
In the first reading, Job's life situation is worse than anything disastrous situation you may think of. He compares his life to that of a slave or hireling. For him even a slave or hireling has moment of relief or rest in the night, but for him pain, sorrow, always lying restlessly in his bed awaiting the dawn. There seems to be no hope of change, Job then concludes that "may eyes will never again see joy (Job 7:6-."
My dear friend in Lord, sometimes in life your situation seems or is like that of Job. Nothing really come easy or work well no matter all amount of effort you put. Pains, sorrows, heartbreaks, sicknesses calamities, confusions every time and Everywhere. Sometimes you attempts to give an explanation to such suffering but it makes no meaning. Sometimes you are forced to ask whether God is alive and why suffering always at the door steps of the upright while the wicked people enjoy successful wealth and good health? But you know what, there is a good news for you today. The good news is that Jesus is the solution to every problem. When you encounter him your story can never remain the same. In the gospel reading of today (Mk. 1:29-39), he encounters Simon Peter's mother in law who was plagued with fever and many who were disastrously troubled with demonic spirit were brought to him, and he cures and restores them back to good health. This means that there is nothing Jesus cannot do, there is no situation he cannot heal, safe and restore. All you need to do is to just have an encounter with him. This encounter can be possible through, prayers, in his divine word, and the sacraments, especially the Eucharist.
And so, as you encounter Jesus today through his word and sacrament, the Eucharist, may you story not remain the same. May He free you from every sickening, insomniac and calamitous situation of your life. Happy Sunday and good morning to you.

- BE OUTSPOKEN: Of course being outspoken in Nigeria is one of the ingredients of being a good politician. One can't be quiet over everything and only talks when things concern him personally. In Nigeria, a politician is rated based on how much and deep he has involved in the societal affairs.

- BE STREET OREINTED: To be a good politician in Nigeria, one is expected to be street oriented. As in, a leader should be able to feel what the people on the streets feel. Policies should be mild and moderate enough to favour the street and in order to do this, a politician is expected to mingle and interact with people in the street in order to know the real situation of things. Mostly, it's the people on the street that make up the votes as such, in order to be a good and worthy politician with love and support of the masses, one is expected to be street oriented.
