Crime / Re: The Celebrity Status Of Yahoo Boys In Nigeria by astevee(m): 5:47pm On May 14, 2018
naijaboiy:
Okay...me I'm not saying yahoo is good o! But.. grin

The issue of internet fraud is something that will continue to bring up a huge divide between Nigerians as it is evident in the bold and open support of this crime.

I asked myself, why are these people surprised? Are they so oblivious of the happenings in our country? No other crime has garnered such a huge support from supposed law abiding citizens except this. Even the menace of kidnapping or militancy was never supported this way.

We should be asking ourselves why it is so and what to do to get out of it and we really have to be realistic with ourselves in this country. Since Saturday all I've been reading upandan is the debate as to if cyber crime is a lesser evil of other crimes. No suggestions or solutions of what can be done.

No crime is justified, but does that stop people from committing the crime? No! But what happens when almost every young individual in the country begins to see that crime as the only way out. Does that not tell us that something is fundamentally wrong somewhere?

Back in the day I knew yahoo as something only meant for older people who have the mind to pull such a stunt but these days SS2 boys for edo college Don dey learn work. As in that one na another course wey Dem wan go study join the one way JAMB go allow them study for university.

See ehn! You don't just condemn and sit down. If there are no jobs and the jobs available pays peanuts, people will be moved to crime even while still working. I laugh at the op who thinks it's only the unserious ones in school that end up in cyber crime, it shows you don't know much about the situation at hand and e go shock you. I personally know someone who graduated with a second class upper in engineering after fruitlessly searching for a job, he settled to do a business but the business crashed in months due to financial setbacks majorly. I don't think I need to emphasize what alternative he found next.

If we want to do things let's do it the right way, if we want these boys to drop their phones or laptops then there has to be some sort of hope somewhere that everything will be good. An alternative. It's a thing of choice I agree, and not everyone actually has the patience to wait for a slow government.

So believe me when I say things will get worse if we all don't wake up!
Starting from our government. They are the leaders and we are obliged to follow, so don't expect an average Nigerian youth to see one Dino driving a vintage car or private jet and he knows he will never have that opportunity in his life except he plays it dirty.

That's the truth in Nigeria we never want to hear.

Valid point you made here, whether educated or not, guys are hungry and are clamping onto the next surest alternative that pays and cyber crime is paying real good. The justification here is not the case of the end justifying the means. Who do you blame? For me i think it is a systemic failure especially on our political structure where the selected few put their selfish interest above the greater good.
I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel,it's gonna get really worse (sample opinions among youths in the streets, and you'd know).
GOVERNMENT AT THE TOP HOLDS THE KEY,NOBODY SHOULD TELL ME THAT CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME.
Abeg which kind change be that when i don't even have any change to spend.

Proudlyngwa:
That was totally wrong from Abaribe.

It is a pity this 8th senate is only interested in petty party politics since Ghana must go politics does not favour them.

It is unfortunate that the Western led regime collapse in certain African and Middle East countries has turned out to be like this.

When they were arming rebel leaders, they never thought of how to mop up the hardwares in their hands.

Wherever Bush and Blair are, I hope they continously have sleepless nights.

I don't understand how you can come here and drop 5 loaded questions and leave them unanswered.

Please come back and do justice to this claims.

Mehn would have given you a million thumbs ups,but for the limitations of this interface.

Please tell them!

Gossiplover:
Bloggers please stop stop this poor reportage. what do you want us to do with this news. Do you know how many graduates are doing menial jobs in Nigeria.. even some graduates are armed robbers. I am still wondering why we should celebrate a graduate that is selling fruits. If she doesn't hustle, hunger go finish am.

May God bless her hustle very much but this is nonsense and not news worthy

Unconfirmed.

Exactly my thought. Why put it up if it is unconfirmed, and what happened to investigating and sourcing for information to confirm or deny?

youdontknowme: Consider the fact that this is a Competition, give them hints and tips, don't serve them all the questions on a silver platter! Smh some people. Most of all these people yet to write wouldn't have done the same for you #think. Goodluck to all.
My bro cool down,u neva hear say *there is no competition in destiny*,if na ur own na ur own, nothing fit stop m. Besides,is not like the test don hard like that, but I understand ur position sha,but again if I was writing tmoro i`d have wanted the whole raw deal before I wud be satified. If u r bright u r bright,u no need vadoo or expo to pass the test. No vex abeg I no mean m like that.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Honeywell Graduate Recruitment. (HEP) by astevee(m): 5:15pm On Dec 04, 2013
Alright a quick expo for tmoro applicant if the questions repeat themselves...lol,if not then u know what to expect.
The test comprised of 4sections as has already been stated: verbal, numerical, logical reasoning and current affairs. I think the verbal and numerical had 15 questions each for 15min,not sure again but my calculation was less than a minute for each question. The logical section had 10 abi 9 questions for 9min and finally the current affairs had 9 questions for 9min.
From down up(current affairs)...in addition to what the other guy said, this r d questions I remember: golf was invented and first played in...ireland,england,scotland,russia and one other option wey no stick...I fail m...lol. Chairperson of African Union committee..GEJ follow for the options and others,I select GEF and fail m too. The current minister of National planning, omo mk una browse m,I don't remember the options. The largest city in africa abi, options included cairo, ibadan, kano etc. Which state had the highest population during the 2007 abi9 census...lagos,kano,katsina,don't remember. Which country will host the 2014 world cup...una know d ans naw. How many senators and house of representative members dey..I think I fail m too...lol. The current senate president and speaker house of representative, una know m too.mmmmm, mmm wetin remain?! Okey my brain didn't come up with anything again so that's that for current affairs.
Then logical reasoning....well the questions follow sha,u just need the interpret m as them talk m...kai those ones long,I don't think I have the patience to start stating them...mk una no vex lol,but I assure u the r simply. The key is to attempt the simpler ones with lesser coinage first then come back to the too much grammar ones, time bokwo.
Then numerical reasoning...hmmm,I was timed out here though not before I had finished a material part of the questions. But generally dem simple. Outside one ration problem and one on probability that would have been easier with a calculator,I think others were straight forward...averages,ratio,simply arithmetic, but as always the key is attempting the easier ones first,so once u read the first line and consider in ur brain the processes u`d have to go through to arrive at the ans,u decide with to next the question or continue.
Now verbal, omo I think na the verbal simple pass o...outside all those big big hon patrick bimbimmbimm words,I just use elimination... License(licence) ah e be like say I fail de spelling o chai,kerosene...mostly opposite to...Blanch,Fecundity,and others mentioned above. Na so I c m
Generally I think the test was simply sha and to compensate for that they might just hype the cut off mark if there is anything like that.
Mk una no mind me o,na one bottle wey I take mk me fit write this epistle....lol. Peace!!!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Finca Aptitude Test Format For Relationship Officer Pls Helpurgent by astevee(m): 6:54pm On Dec 01, 2013
I also got the exact same invite. I am not sure yet where I'd write but most likely lagos. I found out that the account reconciliation officer position requires at least 3years experience from their career site, now I'm not sure again if I observed this before I applied.
My guess is if it is a graduate position which I must have thought it was before I applied in the first instance, then it has to be the normal graduate gmat exams of screening out applicants,if it is however an experienced hire situation, then a case study testing basic accounting concepts and application would most likely be dcase.
Any one with a previous encounter with FINCA should pls assist with useful information.
