My student in one of my traing session, ask this question to me. "Can a web designer not have a website?"

Later after giving it a thought, I wonder why most of my collegues (webmasters!) not have a personal site. Even after huge proposals here and there.

Whats your opinion on this?

I recommend the following;

1. Optimise you graphics.
2. Don't make your page stand tall. Anything within 750 x 650 is ok. If need be then link to another page
3. Avoid using flash movie (especially those with many frames) and effects except very neccessary.
4. Compress you pages whenever you notice it is heavy.

I was astonished today when I went to bank (Intercontinental Bank, Ogui Road Enugu) to make deposit, only to be told that they too do not accept the newly introduced coins! I mean this is crazy. i went to the Customer Care department only to here the same. i could not swallow this I had to confront the management, to my surprise I was told the same. The CBN should change such policy if they want us to take the acceptance of coins seriously. I don't know what you think about it, but if nothing is done this may be another White Elephant project.

My sincere recomendations, you can choose a better template. Spice it up just think, there are so many ideas. I encourage people to design from scratch, but instead of having it less interractive and the same time look bad, I recommend use a template. Untill you are able to do so. It is your out fit. To emmfajis: You can use a css that will be changing the scroll bar each time your page is opened.

Also there are other ways you can use to get over that. This software can allow you to change the colour of your scroll bar to any colour of your choice. And you do not need to write any code.

All you will be required to do is to specify the colours you want - for the background, fill, border, shadow and what have you.
