Tithe is a direct word of God. Jesus said the best law is to LOVE God. Tithe is a way to show that love. Forget about abuse of it.
Some of you say it is better to give to charity, is there any guarantee that such giving will not be abused?
Some beggars use alms given to them to patronise prostitutes and beer parlours. Will you because of that stop giving to charity?
Tithe is not even real deal in this dispensation again, but sacrificial giving.

Tithing is illogical. Why must God require we tithe when He can provide? How is tithe proof of love? Is it not wasteful to waste hard work to enrich lavish pastorpreneurs when there are many going without? If God setup the tithe scheme/philosophy/requirement then why is it failing so woefully? And is that failure not evidence of Gods inability to effect a change on this planet? Wouldnt it be easier for God to abolish tithe and look into the hearts of all to ascertain who loves Him?

Why does God need to test us? Why does God need confirmation/affirmation of our love? Is He not aware of our deepest desires? Is love for God equated to finances? What about those who do work for God through other means but do not tithe?

Think about it. Tithing is like all financial scams. A ponzi scheme. Advance fee fraud. Nothing more... nothing less.

I wouldnt go so far as to say predicting the future. Mostly just predicting human behaviour using untapped psychological reserves... judging inherent danger etc.

alexleo: Hellfire/lake of fire is God's wrath. We can't detach hell fire/lake of fire from God. it reflects a part of his nature/attributes- wrath. We can't go beyond what the scripture told us about it. Ayoku77 has dropped some quotations.
