Maybe it is a subconscious fear. Either of getting pregnant or fear of not getting pregnant. How do you feel about getting pregnant? Do ant close friends, family members or work colleagues have pregnancy issues? Try and look deeper into these fears. 4 Likes |

Seun: Nobody who is mentally ok wants to die. Anyone who claims not to fear death is either seriously depressed, deeply brainwashed, in denial, or a liar and hypocrite. The fear of death is normal & healthy. It motivates us to take life-saving precautions e.g. using condoms & seatbelts. What about soldiers who risk their lives all the time? What about people who work in excessively dangerous professions? Fearing death is different to coping with the risk of death such that you don't think about it or worry about it. 4 Likes |

qstar: How can deeds be judged without taking into account the society that the deeds were carried out. Would slave owners back in the 1400s etc be judged as right or wrong? Slavery was acceptable in 1400s in most parts of the world. It is unacceptable today. Take into account morality. Biblical morality is non standardised. Old Testament morality is different to New Testament morality. Can those living in the Old Testament time (eye for an eye) be judged according to the laws of the New Testament (grace, love thy neighbour etc)? Has any Christian thought about it? What about today? Will Christians be judged according to how they live today or how people lived during the early days of the gospel (Acts of Apostles period circa 200 etc)? 2 Likes |
Religion / Re: Word Of Advice To All Atheist by AtheistD(m): 4:41pm On Aug 17, 2014 |
unyours: Yeah! Seek for the true God and serve him. If it later happened the God you chose is not the true God, then you can have the right to say to him(the true God) that he never made himself truest among all Gods in your sight. That's just my own opinion. But the fact is there is no harm believing in a God especially the Christian God. If the probabability of God's existence is 0.5 and his non-existence same 0.5, then i believe it's wiser to cling on the safer side. Only one side of the argument. As stated on this board by numerous atheists, which god should be worshipped? How are you certain that your choice is right? Can you say that a Sango worshipper or Amadioha worshipper is any better off than an atheist? They beleive in a deity but not your god. So is it ok if I decide to be a theist and worship Zeus? Can I worship any god or must it be your god? Also, what about muslims? They worship your god and beleive in Jesus but follow the teachings of Muhammad? Will they be better off than an Atheist according to you? What about Mormons? Jehohavah's Witnesses? The Roman Catholics? They are all Christians but have varying denominational beleifs. Didnt pastor Chris state that all Catholics are going to hell? Is he correct? So here is my equation: Possiblity of Atheist being right 0.5, Possibility of theist being right 0.5 possibility of theist being right and guessing the right deity to worship: (0.5/number of deities worshipped) = 0.5/2870 = 0.0001742 I guess it is not so easy to get it right after all. Why not live life to the full and forget this deity nonsense. Pascals wager is a joke 1 Like |

TellBlazer: You are confusing yourself, can you tell me one of the secrets to the universe "the fools" through unbiased thinking and unhindered thought process have unlocked...just one.If you can't pls don't quote again bye. You know more than I do I guess . Everythig we know today about the modern universe has come off the back of intelligent research, unbiased theoretical analysis, disclosure, critique, constant updates of knowledge based on new research and evidence. Who is responsible for this, all scientists/engineers who actively involved in their field of interest through active research, development of new technology and the application of such technology. So this would lead to: Understanding our universe, shape, size, age, constituents (planets, galaxies etc). Understanding our planet through natural observation, geological, geophysical and other such observations as well as chemical asciences. Understanding life through the different life sciences, anthropology, zoology and archeology. Understanding our history, civilizations and the development of man through history and to some extentarcheology. Understanding mans nature and our relation to society through sociology and psychology. These processes are what will develop and improve our lives, society and find solutions to our problems. The adherents and contributors to these processes are not fools regardless of belief in a deity or not. Or what do you reckon |

TellBlazer: If you are among the pple that believe the world with all the animals, tress,Rock, fire, rain, air etc just started from a bang of what I don't know then you are a fool....not said by me but by the Bible in the book of spalms so direct your anger there.Secondly have you consided how the brain works?go and research about the functions of the brain n come back and tale me it all started with a bang. Interesting. These "fools" have unlocked the secrets to the universe through unbiased thinking and unhindered thought processes. There are fools who believe in God. So being a "fool" is not related to belief in a deity. 3 Likes |

I have had near death experiences as an atheist. I did not even have time to utter prayers to the infinite almighty God that I had changed and did not want an eternity in hell . I was too busy trying to stay alive . In my heart and mind I am certain there are no deities so I never made any effort to go through a deathbed recantation. What would be the point? If you are going to die you are going to die. Nothing will change that. I do not fear death based on my experiences. 1 Like |
