PoliticsRe: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by atiku4lyfe: 8:54pm On Jun 04, 2007
awo politics is not selling out on your party and abandoning ship merely because of political survival. awo politics is not being a hypocrite about things. awo politics is not tinubu politics. let us not corrupt awo's name by putting it in the same sentence as tinubu.

tinubu is being exposed as a selfish fraud, if indeed it is true that he has been begging for ministerial appointment under yaradua
PoliticsRe: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by atiku4lyfe: 5:04pm On Jun 04, 2007
basically, tinubu is selling out. he should not be doing this so early.

and he tried to condemn his deputy for fratenizing with the "enemy"
PoliticsRe: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by atiku4lyfe: 4:36pm On Jun 02, 2007
i said it a long time ago, tinubu is selling out on AC, look at tribune's front page news today. when i said it, people thought i was making things up.

how will tinubu explain to the people of lagos that he is now working for the party he condemned for 8 straight years?
PoliticsRe: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by atiku4lyfe: 8:12am On May 16, 2007
i agree with mustay in one regard- tinubu deserves credit for brushing obasanjo and his candidate in lagos. but thats where my agreemeent with tinubu ends.

1.there was no need for the impeachment rubbish
2. pedro resigned, it should have ended there. it makes tinubu and his assembly look like comedians
3. tinubu is being snakey, he is no longer seeing eye to eye with atiku
4. tinubu should be the most vocal opposition to the election result, but he has been the most quiet, because he has gotten all he selfishly wanted (lagos)
5. tinubu needs to resolve these issues quickly. why is he so desperate to allign with yaradua this early? these are some of the quesitons that must be brought to the forefront

in concluding it is embarassing that we the AC that have been chastising obj for his treatment of my mentor, are the same people encouraging that sort of crap behaviour by tinubu, so much as against pedro that is generally regarded as not corrupt. shame to tinubu

tinubu, please adress these questions. and call mr atiku and resolve the provlems

PoliticsRe: Breaking News: Lagos House Impeach Pedro by atiku4lyfe: 8:13pm On May 11, 2007
Beline:
Pedro over reacted over the result of April 14 poll and Lagos House decided to kill his political career, what a pity?
but the grounds for impeachment according to them was not his protest of the election result (which is legal). they were:

1. during the debates, he did not defend tinubu
2. in a state council meeting, he suggested national allocation of revenue (or something like that)
3. publicly declaring a threat to his life after he was receiving threats (or something), which embarassed tinubu

do these sound like impeachable offenses?

even the people that wanted to impeach ATIKU came up with STRONGER (but also fake) charges. what a joke!!!

PoliticsRe: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by atiku4lyfe: 7:24pm On May 10, 2007
indeed i am worried by the ammount of feedback this issue is getting. even people here in abuja are discussing it.

the issues are that pedro made political mistakes one too many times. but if it is inddeed true that he has tried 3 times in the past 2 weeks to tender his resignation, only to be denied by tinubu, that is a dissapointment because every man has the right to resign simple. you do not need assembly to apporve resignation. so why didnt they jsut approve his resignation since last 2 weeks? obviously their mission was to disgrace him, but they are making him look like hero

i already have my suspicions of tinubu becaus he has abandoned AC for his own selfish saftey, or should i say selfish interest. but mr atiku is a tactian, more tactical than tinubu

Streetcyph e pain you reach this level?
Kai! I suppose my post makes sense now and Pedro has 'galantly' resigned.
I'm not a name-calling person and it's high time you take a vacation so as to find d --- disturbing you.
It's so unfortunate. . . If he didn't play d role of a coward, there'll be no need 4 d impeachment few weeks to d end of his tenure or d Resignation.

caring.thinking.working
mustay, i hope the caring thinking working part of your post is not a reference to jimi agbaje, because jimi agbaje will be ashamed of you.

what is with you and pedro? why have u continued to attack the guy?

it is bad that tinubu supported my man, yet he is attacking his own man. it does not abode well.

PoliticsRe: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by atiku4lyfe: 7:29pm On May 08, 2007
i cant believe i just read all the messages. here is my take.

1. streetfighter, you are too emotional. CAALLLMM DOOOWWWN! you act like you know too much. in fact, being that you are NOT a member of pedro's campaign team (u sound too fake to be part of their team), you opened your mouth to quickly. and judging from the fact that others on this thread may be a part of other campaign teams, you let a lot of strategy out in the open, although it sounds like some of the shit u typed, you heard in beer parlor. your candidate might have you to blame for the way you were talking here.

2. kitaun, you have been very consistent, i am not surprised, we AC people are cool, calm and consitent like your candidate fashola cool cool. i am not a lagosian, but by far the candidate who had the best visibility outside of lagos was fashola. but i think we should be realistic here, we all know there was rigging in lagos too. we know what went down there. but i am still BEEFING tinubu, because he wants to dump us. and its is become evident outside lagos that he is a double-standard hypocrite, from the way he is treating his deputy governor.

3. hoa62 you sound like you are a diehard like streetfighter. but you only get emotional when pedro's name cames up. you are calm about the other candidates. your candidate fought a good battle, people outside lagos like him a lot. but i hope the things streetfighter was saying are lies because it will be a shame to agbaje if they are true.

PoliticsRe: Should Ismalic Dress Code Be Compulsory In School For Non Muslims? by atiku4lyfe: 3:32pm On May 05, 2007
as a moslem myself, i see nothing wrong with it. but on a general level, in a dynamic place like kano (although it is marority moslem), it is a bit draconian to do that. i think yaradua (or atiku, if due process is followed and he emerges president) can do little or nothing to stop moslem governors from passing such laws. YAradua himself passed a similar law in katsina!
PoliticsRe: Can Yar' Adua change Nigeria ? by atiku4lyfe: 3:30pm On May 05, 2007
while I personally despise the PDP and their illegalness, yaradua is a great friend of my mentor, he is well liked

but before we get there, DUE process MUST BE FOLLOWED
PoliticsRe: Who Will Rule Lagos Come May 2007? by atiku4lyfe: 3:27pm On May 05, 2007
i cannot believe you folks have typed 28 pages of jargon because of a stupid state like lagos. you are wasting bandwidth space
PoliticsRe: Can You Believe? Tinubu Betrays Atiku by atiku4lyfe(op): 3:25pm On May 05, 2007
i agree with the comments here, but is this not a double standard by tinubu? is he actually going to abandon AC at a time when the party needs him the most? oshimole, aregbesola, princewill, these are some of the aggrieved people, and someone like oshiomole and atiku have substantial evidence that pdp rigged. why not encourage them to follow due process i.e. tribunal?

didnt al gore go to a similar due process? why must tinubu, because of his own selfishness, do everything possible to stop my mentor?

WHHYYYYYhuhhuh?
PoliticsCan You Believe? Tinubu Betrays Atiku by atiku4lyfe(op): 11:38pm On May 04, 2007
CAN YOU IMAGINE? he has betrayed atiku, just as we suspect all along

first kufnor
then afikuyomi
then pedro

now tinubu finally betrays atiku. i hate him for this. he wants to use and dump like he chooses.

The presidential candidate of the Action Congress and the Vice-President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his political ally and Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, have disagreed over the position to take on the outcome of the 2007 general election.

The disagreement is more so as it relates to the position to take on how to treat the Katsina State Governor and president-elect on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Umaru Yar’Adua.

Sources told Saturday Tribune that while Abubakar wants an all out battle against Yar’Adua and the PDP, Tinubu has tried unsuccessfully to persuade the vice-president to drop his opposition to the emergence of Yar’Adua since it had become clear that going to the elections tribunal would not achieve anything.

Sources said that Abubakar became very angry with Tinubu when he learnt that the Lagos State helmsman had visited Yar’Adua twice since he emerged as the president-elect.

Apart from the midnight visits by Tinubu to Yar’Adua, some of his close aides, family members and business associates have also visited Yar’Adua.

Some of those close to Tinubu who have visited Yar’Adua are the Lagos State governor-elect, Chief Babatunde Fasola; and Tinubu’s brother and helmsman of Oando Petroleum, Mr. Wale Tinubu.

It was learnt that the romance between Yar’Adua and Tinubu predated the elections as the president-elect was said to be very close to Tinubu’s family.

It was learnt on Thursday that even before they went into full time politics, anytime Yar’Adua was in Lagos, he visited the Tinubus’ home and made it a point to eat with his mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji.

It was gathered that before he emerged the presidential candidate of the PDP, Yar’Adua solicited for Tinubu’s cooperation.

Though Tinubu reportedly did not give any commitment, he told Yar’Adua at the time that once he emerged the candidate of the PDP, they could work out an arrangement.

Though it could not be confirmed as at press time the level of his involvement in Yar’Adua’s campaign, impeccable sources said the Lagos State governor “did assist the president-elect in a very noticeable way.”

Sources said that in as much as Tinubu was committed to the ideals of the AC, which was shown clearly with the way his party won most of the positions contested for during the elections in Lagos State he did not go out of his way to hurt Yar’Adua.

Owing to this, shortly after the elections, Yar’Adua reached out to Tinubu to speak with Abubakar on the need for him to drop his opposition to his ambition by not going to the tribunal.

He offered the opposition a minimum of 10 key positions in his government. When Tinubu mentioned this to Abubakar, the VP reportedly turned down the offer, saying Tinubu could go ahead with the negotiation on behalf of himself alone.

He reportedly told Tinubu that the party was going to go ahead to contest the result of elections in 14 states. Sources said while the AC and Abubakar have rejected the PDP offer, Tinubu might have made up his mind to throw his weight behind the PDP.
