In one of the touchy and emotional letters writing by Habila Bulus from Buachi Zakshi,a minority tribe in Bauchi state to Atiku Abubakar. The letter was so touchy and I was moved to share it and I am very happy with Atiku Campaign Organization for creating platform for Nigerians to easily address Atiku Abubakar on the issues that matters to them and their community. Politics / I Am Not Leaving PDP; It's All Lies From Lying APC - Akwaibom Deputy Governor by ATIKUAIR(f): 1:32pm On Aug 06, 2018 |
PRESS RELEASE AK Deputy Governor debunks resignation story. The attention of the Office of the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State has been drawn to certain rumours and misrepresentations in a section of the media to the effect that the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Moses F. Ekpo, MFR, has resigned from office. The reports particularly from the online community further make allusions to the effect that the Deputy Governor has also defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Given the temperament of the times and the implications of such innuendos, we are constrained to categorically state as follows: (i) There is no iota of truth in the story making the rounds. (ii)The purported report is therefore nothing but a poorly concocted piece of a malicious hatchet job and a pack of lies, and should be appropriately ignored. (iii)It is instructive to note that currently, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor is representing the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as Special Guest of Honour at the 2018 International Convention of Ati Annang holding in New York, United States of America, and is yet to return to the state. (iv) In his reaction to the rumour from New York on phone today, the Deputy Governor said “I have not resigned. I have no reason whatsoever to resign or jump ship from a government that is both responsive and performing optimally, while giving practical meaning to democratic dividends for the people of Akwa Ibom. I cannot, and will not jump ship” (v) To that extent, he has called on Akwa Ibom people, both at home and in the Diaspora, as well as the PDP family in the state to remain resolute and committed to support the Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, to take Akwa Ibom to the next level. Ekikere Umoh, Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor Akwa Ibom State |
Politics / Femi Fani-Kayode: 'Godswill Akpabio Is A Coward And A Slave' by ATIKUAIR(f): 9:59am On Aug 06, 2018 |
“You remain the father of the nation, our father and political father to all. Just like i told Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Osinbanjo yesterday in Nigeria… Those who think that they have politically grown to insult you will all regret it before month end sir. I am here (London) to register my undiluted love and unalloyed support to you. I was involved in all their meetings and I know what their plans are. The long recess of NASS is going to be your advantage and not theirs like they thought and planned”- Senator Godswill Akpabio to President Muhammadu Buhari. Those that do not have the courage of their convictions and that do not have the guts to stand against tyranny when under fire are not worthy of being called men: they are little better than beasts. The fact that the former Governor of Akwa Ibom, Senator Godswill Akpabio, is a coward and a traitor is no longer in dispute. The fact that his brazen treachery knows no bounds is what can best be described as “settled law”. A leader must be ready to sacrifice his liberty and life in defence of truth, justice and righteousness and he must be prepared to defend his nation, faith, people and loved ones no matter the price he may have to pay. Sadly such noble virtues and high standards are lost on men like Akpabio. To them such matters and sentiments are like Greek or Latin: they can neither understand their meaning or grasp their import. They fail to appreciate the fact that fear is not a virtue but a vice. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that to blink the eye, bat the eyelid, surrender, compromise, buckle, capitulate and bend the knee to the tyrant and his minions in a futile and last minute attempt to preserve your life and liberty is utterly shameful. Akpabio’s desire to decamp to the APC due to his trepidation and fear of the EFCC and Buhari’s regime is pitiful. If he has done nothing wrong then why the fear and why the trepidation? Where is his faith in God? And if he has done something wrong, given the fact that he has opposed them virulently for the last three years, does he honestly believe that the Buhari regime will not punish him by using it against him if they manage to get back to power next year, no matter how much he helps them today? If he believes that then he is not half as intelligent as I once thought. Buhari is not a man of honor, he is not a worthy ally, he does not keep to his pronlmises and he does not have friends. The only friend he has is his insatiable lust for power which he feeds on a daily basis. Aside from that the following questions come to mind. Does Akpabio honestly see any good in Buhari and his goverrnment? Is that what he thinks that Nigerians deserve to suffer for the next few years and if so what is their crime? Has he forgotten the gratuitous insults that Buhari dishes out so lavishly on the Nigerian people whenever he travels abroad and speaks to foreign leaders and the foreign press? Has he forgotten about all those that the Buhari government have killed and all those that have died and suffered in the struggle against them? Does the shedding of innocent blood by a desperate government mean nothing to him? Has he forgotten the tears of the tormented and persecuted and the cries of the widows, orphans and the bereaved whose loved ones have been butchered by jihadists, religious fanatics, cow-lovers and ethnic supremacists that Buhari has protected and encouraged over the last three years? Has he forgotten the anguish of those whose loved ones have been locked up indefinately and those who have been demonised and subjected to the most barbaric and insidious media witchunts in the history of our nation? Has he forgotten the practice of double standards in the application of our laws? Has he forgotten how the rogues in Buhari’s cabinet and government and the governors in his party are above the law and get away with blue murder? Has he forgotten about the slaughter of northern Christians, IPOB youths and Shiite Muslims? Has he forgotten about the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Fulani terrorists and herdsmen? Has he forgotten about the attack against the Church and the attempt to undermine and ridicule Christendom? Has he forgotten about the censorship of the media and how newspapers houses and radio and television stations are warned against airing or publishing anti-government material? Has he forgotten about Buhari’s insidious secret romance with Boko Haram and how he has strengthened them in the last two years by freeing their commanders and paying them huge and unprecedented ransoms? Has he forgotten the appauling way that members of our Armed Forces are being treated by the government and how they are massacred on the front lines and given secret mass burials in secret graves with no honor or thanks? Has he forgotten about the brutal assault on the judiciary and judges and the undermining of the rule of law? Has he forgotten about the relentless attacks on the legislature and the humiliation of his colleagues at the National Assembly? Has he forgotten about the horrors and wickedness that members and leaders of the opposition PDP were subjected to over the last 3 years? Has he forgotten about what the Govermment did to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Sheik El Zak Zaky and Col. Ibrahim Dasuki? Has he forgotten the vitriolic terms and words that they used to describe President Goodluck Jonathan, President Olusegun Obasanjo and every single PDP leader and government that held power between 1999 and 2015? Has he forgotten that Buhari considers himself to be the third and final Mahdi of the north and that he has nothing but contempt and disdain for those that come from the Middle Belt and the south and those that do not share his religious faith Has he forgotten the insults the Buhari government heaped on southerners, Middle Belters, Afenifere, Ohaeneze, the Niger Delta Elders, the Middle Belt Forum and every single elderstatesman and leader that has called for the restructuring of our country. Has he forgotten about the division, strife, disgrace, penury, corruption, poverty and despair that they have subjected the Nigerian people to over the last three years. Has he forgotten what Christians have been subjected to by these demons from hell? Has he forgotten their hatred for the Church? Has he forgotten the division, strife, turmoil, bloodshed, torment and havoc that they have inflicted on our nation? Has Akpabio forgotten about all these things or is that he is so tormented by the fear of his own shadow, the EFCC and Buhari’s ghost that he has capitulated like a fatherless peasant that lacks nobility, class, dignity, self-respect, good-breeding and honor? On a general note one is constrained to ask: why are most Nigerian leaders plagued with such a cowardly disposition and servile spirit? Why do they compromise so often and why do they tremble before power? If Akpabio had issues with PDP that is fair enough. We all have issues with the party in varying degrees. Yet if he felt constrained to leave why can’t he join any of the other numerous opposition parties? Why does he have to sell his soul to the devil and enter a Faustian pact with Buhari and the APC. Why should he join the birds of prey to feed on the blood, flesh and guts of the Nigerian people? The truth is that he has betrayed his people and joined forces with those that seek to enslave them simply in an attempt to secure freedom and goodwill for himself. Is that what leaders are meant to do? Are they meant to give in to their most morbid and irrational fears and collaborate with those that seek to destroy their nation, their people and their future? Akpabio reminds me of the old African chiefs and traditional rulers that sold their own people into slavery to the white slave dealers in return for tiny crumbs and protection. He reminds me of the black slaves that fought on the side of the southern secessionist forces in the American civil war who attempted to preserve the institution of slavery. He reminds me of the inglorious Scottish clans that turned their backs on Scotland’s heroic Bonny Prince Charlie and instead betrayed their people and fought on the side of the English oppressors to oppose Scottish emancipation and liberation. He reminds me of everything that is unpleasant, servile, weak, ugly, uncouth, cowardly and dishonorable. The fact of the mattee is that Akpabio deserves to be pitied. He is more worthy of pathos than wrath because, like Judas Iscariot and those that betrayed and crucified Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, he “knows not what he does”. Shakespeare wrote that “a coward dies a thousand times before his death, but the valiant taste of death but once.” Soyinka wrote that “the man died in him who remained silent before tyranny Akpabio has died a thousand deaths and the man has died in him. Courage, risk and sacrifice are the fuel and engine room of the struggle for liberation. I would rather live as a free man for one day than live a thousand years as a coward and a slave. May God guide my friend and brother Godswill Akpabio and may He open his eyes and cause him to appreciate the folly of his own actions and the very grave consequences of the monumental mistake he is about to make. May He remind him that the forces of darkness have nothing to offer but death, sorrow, shame and destruction. May He remind him that no matter how dark the night, joy comes in the morning for those who have faith, who trust in the Lord and who stand firm till the end. May He remind him that those that joined Adolf Hitler, even in his last days, ended up dying with him. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10156640674012210&id=62188827209 35 Likes 4 Shares

Politics / Reject Prison Yard Democracy From A Tyrant - Tambuwal To Nigerians by ATIKUAIR(f): 2:45pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has called on Nigerians to reject “prison-yard democracy, typified by the ignoble meddlesomeness, rascality and high-handedness of some security agencies against democratic institutions”. In a statement released on Tuesday by his media office, Tambuwal expressed his dismay with the recent happenings in Benue State and Abuja, where security agencies reportedly meddled in the affairs of both the Benue and national legislatures by trying to prevent some lawmakers from accessing their legislative chambers and also impeding the movement of the Senate President and his Deputy last week. “Nigerians must, in strong terms, say no to prison-yard democracy, where the rights of the citizenry are shackled to the caprices of a few, as if we now run a nation of helpless inmates,” Tambuwal said. “If the people of Nigeria are so unfortunate to endure the growling nightmare occasioned by deprivation of most things that a democracy should ordinarily provide; If they are now accustomed to the pangs of hunger, unemployment, shabby infrastructure, poor healthcare and general hopelessness, they should, in the interest of democracy and the youths, stand against anything that has the potential of robbing them of their inalienable rights to live and make choices as free citizens. “These are unfortunate incidents, an aberration, a reprehensible attack on the fundamental human rights and privileges of fellow Nigerians and a direct attack on our fledgling democracy. We should condemn this crass and impudent exhibition of uncivilized conduct, so that we can keep peace and maintain a civilized society. “Democracy is about freedom, of choice and association. It is about the people and the supremacy of the will of the people. Democracy, loses its essential value when the overall interest of the people takes a back seat in any supposedly democratic setting.” Arguing that legitimate political choices and movements, including cross-carpeting, are part of a democratic enterprise, he said: “Any attempt to bully people out of their legitimate, democratic choices is a war against democracy, the rights of the citizenry that power this unique people-oriented system of governance." Tambuwal also called on the country’s leaders at all levels to “guard their utterances, in order not to drive our nation further down the path of divisiveness and ethnic/religious mistrust”. “Let us water our democracy, using the fountains of equity, fairness and justice for all,” he said. |

Politics / Re: It Will Be Disastrous, If PDP Fails To Give Me The Ticket~ Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by ATIKUAIR(f): 9:53am On Jul 31, 2018 |
Butterflyle0:1. During the 1993 election season, Atiku was selected by one of the most liberal and respected Northerners, Shehu Musa Yar'adua to be the running mate of MKO Abiola. Despite his customs background, Atiku had found favour in a Military mans heart. This is very rare! 2. Considering the fact that Atiku played no role in the Nigerian civil war, he is thus, outside the ambit of the so called 'owners of Nigeria'. For many historians, The hatred for Atiku stems from the fact that a customs boy is dining with the military big boys. 3. Atiku is a very brilliant man. While he might not be "book smart" like Dr. osinbajo, he is business smart. Something which many of our presidents lacked. Including Obasanjo. Hence, the reason why he did a better Job heading the economic team between 1999 and 2006! 4. Atiku knows how to source talent. This he wont be appointing Audu Ogbeh and co into positions. He sourced the likes of El-rufai and many others who did an amazing Job between 2000-2006. If you look at his campaign team you'd see his desire for new but tested hands. 5. Of all the candidates. Atiku is still the only one with a standard policy document which he has carried with him from PDP to APC and back to PDP. In essence the man has a plan which he wants to implement and doesn't care which party he does it under. He just needs a shot. for those who have not read his policy document, here it is Atiku.org/policydocument 6. The number of times Atiku has battled demons and come out tops, is amazing. The sheer strength of character to achieve his goal. Lets take a little detour...... 6a. Atiku first dabbled into politics in 1990 (running for governor) He had made money as a customs officer by partnering with our Italian Nigerian brother, Volpi, and they made a fortune off Intels. he cant be blamed for being smart like an Igbo man by taking advantage of such situation. 6b. He was to run for the presidency in 1992 with the support of late Yar'adua, but STEPPED down for MKO Abiola.. He ran again for governor in 1998 and won, but was asked instead to be Vice President. 6c. During the Abacha era, Atiku was hounded and stripped of his board position at INTEL as part of a political witch hunt. He was attacked in 1995 and thus fled Nigeria. 6d. The biggest demons which he fought, that made me love him even more, was in 2005/2006 when Obasanjo wanted to extend his presidential bid to a third term. Atiku was the biggest problem to Baba's third term bid. Even to his own detriment as we have all seen play out. Note the gravity of this. Fighting your boss because they are trying to make themselves live president after saying they wont. Osinbajo doesn't have the balls or the will to fight Buhari if it ever came up. 7. Thus, my seventh point. Atiku understand fairness and equity. If he didn't, he would have allowed obasanjo a 3rd term. After all, he would still be vice president. But he knew it would be unfair. It would be unjust and so he fought his boss. 8. Atiku has the right international presence. He can easily interact with the wider world and wouldn't be as timid as Johnathan or even Buhari. He is also very articulate (Atikulate) lol. So i wont be struggling to hear what he says. 9. He is not media shy. And thus, wont be clamping down on the media because he is scared to face them (tag your MCM who hasn't held a media conference). If anything, he has faced the media the most. He has battled them. 10. He is a detribalised Nigeria. Whatever that means. He sure is better than Buhari in this department. For the record, nobody has to come and lie to us that He likes Igbo people or Yoruba people. It is evident. He married a Yoruba woman Titi and an Igbo woman Jenifer. 11.If there is one candidate who has been hell bent on restructuring, it is Atiku, which did not start today but since 1995 he believe that Nigeria need to be restructured for all regions to feel accepted and accept in one Nigeria philosophy. 12. Atiku remains the only candidate who has a business that is open to the public view. The only candidate who's school has helped train future leaders. I mean, his university is top quality for Nigerian standards. How many of your MCMs have a university which they run?? 13 .Atiku is most likely to obey the rule of law. Unlike Obasanjo and Buhari, he doesn't have the military mind of working without the court. And as a beneficiary of such system, i doubt he would treat it the way Buhari is treating the court. 14. On the health sector What do i even say. He has signed a deal recently to build a hospital in Nigeria. However, it is better than Buhari's "no official will travel abroad for treatment". But he is the first president in the world to spend more months away from his country on medical reasons. 15.No Politician in Nigeria have being scrutinized than Atiku, he is always seen as corrupt because of his wealth and the respect he command across the country but nobody have come up with any corruption case against him. He is the only politician in opposition party that still hv loyalty within Buhari cabinet. There will surely be divided interest in Buhari cabinet if Atiku clinch the PDP ticket like one of APC minister recently told Buhari openly that she will work for Atiku if he declares interest to contest for presidency. Hate him or like him, Atiku knows how to treat his subjects that always make them loyal to him. 16.Atiku is the only Northern Fulani Nigerian that understand and recognize the ability and the nature of Igbo man! He have igbos on top of most of his establishments and that is why he is one of the most influential and wealthy Nigerian! He believes igbos are indispensable in wealth creation and have shown that in running his business successfully. 17.Comparing Atiku and Buhari is like comparing light and darkness! Atiku hv created jobs and wealth for Nigerians even without being the president, Buhari never have history of creating jobs except from managing his cows in Daura he don't hv any other achievement outside government! |

Politics / How Saraki Outsmart IGP And Buhari To Avoid Impeachment by ATIKUAIR(f): 11:10am On Jul 24, 2018 |
There is palpable tension at the National Assembly, as Senate President Bukola Saraki, drove himself into the National Assembly complex in a private vehicle. Saraki was not in the vehicle when a detachment of security operatives blocked his convoy at his Apo residence with the view to preventing them from leaving the house. As early as 7:00am, senators loyal to Parliamentary Support Group (PSG) had started arriving the National Assembly while those loyal to the Senate President also trooped in. It was gathered that the PSG had perfected a plan to hurriedly Impeach Saraki as soon as he honours the police invitation, as signatures were said to have been collected overnight. Having sensed the sinister move by the opposing camp, Saraki decided to outsmart them by quickly sneaking into the National Assembly with a rickety vehicle he drove himself. It was gathered that Saraki had also perfected his plans to announce his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) today and adjourn the plenary sine dine. As of the time of filing this report, the mood at the National Assembly was tensed, with policemen taking over the premises. It is not clear with the turn of the event if Saraki will honour the Police invitation regarding Offa robbery, but he announced on Monday evening his intention to do so. 1 Like

Politics / I Will End Bokoharam And Keep Nigeria More United- Atiku by ATIKUAIR(f): 11:37pm On Jul 17, 2018 |
A former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, said if elected Nigerian president, his government will not only end the Boko Harman insurgency, but also keep the nation more united. He also said if he was in the position of President Muhammadu Buhari, he would have by now sacked all service chiefs for failing to tackle the Boko Haram insurgency in the last three years. Mr. Abubakar, who spoke in Maiduguri, Borno State, said he was not impressed with President Buhari’s handling of security in the country, especially the protracted Boko Haram insurgency. The former vice president was in Maiduguri on Tuesday to woo delegates ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party presidential primaries. The politician, who last year defected from Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP, held a joint meeting with PDP delegates from Borno and Yobe. Mr Abubakar also expressed his sympathy to the two states over the Boko Haram insurgency that has caused the death of tens of thousands and displaced millions of residents. He said security would be his number one priority if the delegates give him their support to emerge as the candidate of the party in the 2019 presidential election. He said the two North-east states will benefit more from the federal government if they support his cause of becoming the number one citizen. “Since the year 1999 when I was elected the Vice President of Nigeria, I knew Borno, Yobe and Gombe states were under the government of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP). “But if you consider the appointments that these three states enjoyed from the federal government, (they) were much higher than the ones given to other PDP states. “And the reason for that is not far-fetched; it was so because one of your own was in the position of authority. So you all must not lose memory of that fact.” On security, he said President Buhari’s government has failed the North-east for failing to end the insurgency which has ravaged Nigeria since 2009. “It is now more that nine years that this part of the country is facing the problem of insecurity, and our socio-economic sphere has been injured as a result of that. “Today our schools and our healthcare system are not functioning; our youth are roaming the streets jobless; yet there is a government in place. “We must also recall that this is the same Nigeria whose security forces had been able to fight a civil war and keep the country united in just about two years and six months only. And most of the soldiers that fought on the side of Nigeria are from the north. “But here we are sweating to end an insurgency that is mostly domiciled in just two states, Borno and Yobe; and we cannot even see its end in nine years. “This is unacceptable and I cannot accept it. There is no way I can tolerate any security chief that will come and inform me that he cannot end this war in three years. Such security chief will not last the next day on seat. “I swear in the name of God that the service chief must go. “I was flying about 35,000 feet over Borno and Yobe states few hours ago, and all I could see were nothing but open plain lands; yet someone on ground will be telling me that he cannot see where Boko Haram insurgents are. “I hereby promise you all that should I be elected as president, the issue of insecurity will become a thing of the past. I know there is insincerity in the management of the country’s security. “This is the time for us to wake and forge a common front in our struggle to salvage our children and grand children from future calamity by supporting our cause”. Mr Abubakar also told journalists at the end of the meeting that the failure of APC government had outweighed the shortcomings of the 16 years of the PDP rule in Nigeria. “If you compare the PDP years and that of the current APC’s, you will find out that the past is still better than today in terms of security, economy and development”, he said. “PDP has done far better than the APC in all ramifications”. Mr. Abubakar who is vying for the presidency for the fourth time, said he would soon unveil his vision and mission for Nigeria at a grand press conference. “Everyone knows me as Mr. Restructure, and everybody knows that I will bring my private sector experience to bear on the economy and Nigerians can be rest assured that jobs will be made available and the country will be more united under my watch because I don’t belong to any part but the whole”. |
