Boss, i use authy for my binance - it works perfectly fine. You can download the desktop app from their site : https://authy.com/download/.
- if you doubt me, try it on a fresh binance acct and you will see that it works perfectly fine. You can't use authy and go back to google authenticator unless say na juju

Google authenticator is complex to use. For me, authy by twilio is the superior app. It is easy to use and to backup to other devices like your laptop or tablet. You can use it anywhere you would use Google authenticator.

Binance doesn't allow any other authentication app except the one from Google.
Google made theirs to be written down like a mnemonicc phrase in wallets.
Difficult, but safer in my own opinion.
